Some Backstory- I've been displaced since April of last year. Home we lived in for almost 4 years/Owner broke hip, son filed eviction within 48 hrs/sheriff's showed up and gave us 10 minutes to grab what was important and changed locks. Period- doesn't matter what was legal or could have been done. Made camp in September, 1st burned down in late October (lost everything again) February cleaned out and pushed to move (2nd time) and just last week was told we needed to move again with a 4day notice. Mind you, my camp has always been clean, out of sight, never had any legal issues, so please don't bash me. I'm really just at a loss at who to turn to at this point.

2022.12.28 04:23 themattydor 2012 Mazda3 vs 2009 Pontiac Vibe

I’m not necessarily dead set on one of these 2 cars, but I’d like to get a car soon and each of these is really appealing for their reputation for being reliable. The Vibe is essentially a Corolla and mileage is decent. The Mazda is a little high in mileage, but it’s 3 years newer and is the Skyactiv model that apparently works really well.
All else being equal, I’d choose the Mazda. But ultimately I want a car that still has at least a few years of life left in it and won’t require a bunch of money to get through those years.
What do you think?

I know this is probably posted extremely often, but I just moved here from Raleigh and am MAJORLY low on money.
I have been scouring Craigslist, Indeed, Monster, and SnagAJob, and I've applied to plenty of places and heard nothing. I did already sign up for UpShift and am about to, as a last resort, give DoorDash, Instacart, and Uber Eats a try. However, I'd really rather avoid those as I'm not too familiar with the area and have an abysmal sense of direction.
I really enjoy working in neighborhood/sports bars and I have been for years. From my experience, I know a lot of these places avoid advertising on big job search sites because a lot of the candidates are unreliable or just not a great fit for the specific brand they're looking for. I know it's a total long shot, but if anyone has any leads or suggestions I'd love some help. I'm 37, have been serving since I was 20, Bartending since I was 22, and also have managing experience. I found this loom on Craigslist, and while I have been making use of the wiki to learn about tapestry, floor, backstrap, and rigid heddle looms, I'm still not sure what kind this is. I'm curious about weaving but remember childhood projects well enough to know I'd want a shed - no interest in going oveunder with a needle for lengths and lengths. And I'd like to be able to make dishtowels, at least. But I'm not quite prepared to drop $200+ on a new rigid heddle loom! Wondering if this would work.
Hope this is allowed, I'm in a few other craft subs and know these kinds of totally-at-sea posts can be tiresome. Thanks for any guidance!

2019 custom made gravel/all-road bike. The frame was made by Minori Sanchiz-Fung of Cycle Logic in Raleigh, NC. All Columbus spirit tubing. This frame rides really nice. It’s noticeably more flexy/compliant than other steel bikes I've owned. Because of the fancy tubeset, it weighs in at 20.8 lbs -- and could be much lighter with fancier parts. Rides well on light single track as well as gravel. Would make a nice rando bike as well. I'm only selling because I have 5 bikes at the moment and there's too much overlap with other bikes I own.
I'm also open to parting out and selling the frame/fork/headset separately. Message me if you're interested in that.

The car in question
Looking to get some community feedback on pricing for this car since comps are tough to find for higher mileage, (mostly) stock Mazdaspeeds.
It's a 2005 Grand Touring with just over 155K miles. The first owner in Oklahoma only put about 8K miles on it before it was sold to the previous owner in North Carolina, where it's been ever since. The previous owner used it for commuting and was putting 10-20K miles on it per year. I've owned the car for 5 years and swapped the 17" Racing Harts for some black ND wheels and put on smoked corner markers (all stock parts included). It is a clear title but did have a "left rear impact with another vehicle" in 2016. With the mileage, it has a few cosmetic issues such as a worn bolster on the driver seat, small dings and scratches, and a nice dent in the lower corner panel behind the passenger door. I would love some feedback on whether I'm in the ballpark of fair price or if I need to bring it down a few notches. Hello everyone. I just moved to Canada and need a bike for school. I don't want to spend too much, $300 and below is good. I'm looking for comfort, durable and reliable bikes (because I only goes to school, about 7km or 4.3 miles from my apartment, I do no mountain or any extremes), both used or new are OK.

2022.09.05 03:22 IceCoffeeRandomGuy New wheels + larger gear range = 🤯

Bought a 2010 Raleigh Sport off ($625 MSRP) craigslist ago for $250ish which came with Shimano 2300 (3x8 groupset). Rode it for a bit then upgraded to Sram Apex 50/34 with 12-28.
Stopped for a few years and have picked up riding again. Decided to buy a larger cassette since gaining weight and the hills have been destroying me so got a 11-34. Also decided to buy new wheels because why not and got some Hunt 4 Season Aero wheels (1579g).
After my first ride today, all I have to say is WOW. Going to a granny gear of 34+28 to 34+34 is absolutely insane and not having to die up every hill makes the entire ride more enjoyable. The new wheelset probably played a role as well but they were better felt on the flats where it was a whole lot easier to maintain speed with less effort.
TLDR: The combination of upgrades easily elevated my riding experience by 30-40% 👍
Edit: Freehub is incredibly loud and announces your presence on the bike path which is pretty satisfying lol
