Attended a widespread panic concert this past Saturday night with 6 friends and after the show we walked to M and N’s Airbnb that they had rented for the weekend about a mile and half from the venue. The house was about two blocks off the ocean.
Earlier that day while we were all hanging out at the beach, M & N both recounted stories to all of us from the night before (Friday) of very distant UFO sightings from their Airbnb while sitting in the backyard hot tub. They were super enthusiastic and very confident in their sightings, clearly not trying to fool us and genuinely awed at what they had seen the night before.
After the show got out, we walked back from the venue to their Airbnb. Our group consisted of myself, P with his wife A1, Kevin with his girlfriend A2 and the brothers previously mentioned M & N. I have known many of the people in the group for years, went to high school with two of them- K and I have been very close friends for over 20 years.
We played darts for a while inside then moved outside around what I’d estimate was 1:50am. The first sighting occurred as I had just come back outside from using the restroom. As I was walking back outside the group was incredibly ecstatic, yelling, pointing etc.. As I ran up, I had just missed what they were seeing by just a second or so due to the overhang of roof over the outside area. They described what they saw as two or three lights zigzagging around very high up in the sky.
I was genuinely bummed that I had missed it but now I along with others were now completely fixated on watching the sky. About five minutes later is when I can honestly say was the craziest, wildest, most insane experience I have ever had throughout my 35 years of living.
As we literally all had our heads looking toward the sky, a massive object came into view on our right side of vision and was no more than 2-3000 feet away from us, a low flying helicopter is the best height I can describe it at. It was not directly overhead but I was at an angle with a clear view of its underbelly, and I roughly estimated its width to easily have been one to two football fields in width- hard to say exactly how wide it was because it almost disappeared into the darkness the further away it got. It floated unbelievably effortlessly through the sky, no sound coming from it whatsoever. I could see its flat dark metal type texture with a few flashing red/orange/white lights on its undercarriage. I remember clearly that it was large enough that the moonlight actually casted a shadow underneath the object. It cruised past us at about 30 mph and was in sight for about 6-8 seconds before vanishing out of thin air. Almost like it blended into a small cloud and vanished right into it even though that cloud was much smaller than the object. No vapors leftover behind it, gone just as the wind goes, absolutely silent. The objects shape was very almost like a mix of the Millennial Falcon and the Star Wars Star Destroyer, wide on the rear, narrower upfront. Very flat and smooth underneath.
No one said a word when it appeared, it was dead silent, almost like all of us were gasping at what we were seeing before our very own eyes. M said he pulled out his phone and tried to take a picture but was unable to get a shot of it with the amount of time it appeared along with the lighting conditions. I’m a professional videographer and photographer; the object was very dark from our viewpoint and far enough away that a camera phone would have an incredibly tough time capturing an image in that amount of darkness plus distance plus the little time to react and get a phone out was just not enough. I personally remember not even thinking to grab my phone because I was in such disbelief with what we’re all witnessing. Conditions were clear, fingernail moon, 70ish degrees out, lots of star visibility.
K did not see the large object; he was inside the house when it appeared. I ran and yelled at him right after it happened to come outside.
The best way I can describe what happened looking back, was that it literally flew in dropping thousands of feet per second to land right in our vision then took back off.
Afterwards, everyone was what the best way I can describe it- mind blown. So many questions on what we had just all witnessed. I remember feeling very high on adrenaline but then a few minutes after an almost sense of fear came over myself and over the group. The girls were pretty shaken up and they went inside for a few minutes. The guys we're now outside sitting around the table, all admitting how fucking scary that was but we we're also absolutely awed at the technology we had just seen. The length of it, how quiet it operated, how it effortlessly floated like a cloud in the sky. It vanished without skipping a beat, how you would imagine it to be done in the movies except it was dead silent. Looking back- how quiet the object moved made it incredibly scary to be in sight of. We all agreed that something that quiet, that large, that obviously insanely powerful object, flying like it did was chilling to the bone. Just recounting the story a day later gives me the chills.
About ten minutes after that, we saw two boomerang shaped objects following each other closely across the sky, very high altitude but very visible, disappearing into the universe.
After that, I started calling texting friends/family that might be up, almost felt the need to warn them or see if they were seeing anything in their areas. No one was up except my friend D who answered in California but was not really interested in hearing about it, which was understandable given the time and circumstances. Best way I justified why I called him is that I’m not going to randomly call you on Saturday night at 2am and tell you I saw an f*cking UFO if I didn’t actually see a UFO. He agreed, said be safe, call him in the am. I spoke to many friends the next morning telling them what I am writing now.
We watched the sky for about an hour longer after the large object sighting then we called an uber back to K’s family condo about 15 minutes away down the beach. P and I sat out on the porch when we got back and witnessed a light in the sky very far in the distance moving slowly, towards the horizon, disappearing then reappearing a little bit further down the path it was going.
Went to bed around 4am nonstop thoughts racing on what we had seen. I hoped on reddit to see if anyone else had seen stuff like this, google etc.. saw a few posts similar to what we had seen but I didn’t read about anything that close up.
When we woke up in the morning, all our group could talk about was recounting what we had seen and how unimaginably crazy it was. Life changing event without question. I always believed in them but wow, this completely opened my eyes and was absolutely astonishing to see in person to say the least. I told everyone in the morning to text me what they had witnessed so I can have it on record from a few different perspectives. I can post those as well once I get them all collected.
I reached out to a local hotel that was in the line of sight, their manager after a little bit of explaining the situation was willing to check their security cameras, but I think the hotel may have been located a bit too far North- I am following up with them tomorrow. Also reached out to a local restaurant but the manager was not having any of it really and she said none of their camera’s faced that direction, so I left it at that.
I’m sure I will get some flack with nonbelievers and what not, which is to be expected. I’m posting this on Reddit to help others who do in fact recognize this phenomenon maybe better understand what is happening or to possibly even gain insight into what my friends and I witnessed this past weekend.

It’s rare that i’d pen together an AAR for a relatively nothing eviction OP, although this one turned out to be colourful for PR and Drama. This takes place primarily in a C2 Cataclysmic High/C3 statics. Linked what local chatter we managed to screengrab at the time.

J235321 Eviction AAR – A Short Story of Low-Class Wormhole Drama.

It had been a quiet week for the Commies, average krabbing with little excitement in the way of PvP content. I log-in to some links of average shitposting from some C2 group to one of our directors, nothing too interesting at first – they’re just baiting for a fight. You’ll also notice a weird undercurrent of wet paper bags throughout this whole series of events (pictures below). We had brought a small-gang, they dock up and continue shitposting for a fight. I reach out to them (https://ibb.co/Jy6g1cx). This dude really loves his bags and they’re looking for the content. Fair enough – they’ve got our attention, so we look them up. Turns out they’re currently making a weak attempt to extort a small C2 newbro group (Paradox-Inc), although it’s mostly just turned into camping as these elite PvP pilots don’t have manpower enough to kill an Astra. We approach the group being attacked in the hopes that there’s a bashtra or POS in the system from the attackers that we can remove. No such luck, just cloaky camping. We let them know to hit us up if they get into any real trouble.
We let Hund1 know we’re looking for them, and that diplo goes off the table after we find them – if they’ve got anything to say, now’s the time. The search for their hole takes about 2 days – we get in on a friendly tip from another group and infiltrate the first seeds. Interestingly enough, a few other groups have bumped into these guys with similar experiences – mostly looking to defend the other group (Paradox) they were attempting to extort. Small group with a seemingly poor reputation.
Our siege POS anchors quietly in their hole. We infiltrate a small 10-12man Drek/Guard fleet and secure hole control. With the hole secured, we start on the Astra’s shields. Other than the structure guns, there’s no resistance. We offer them an extortionate price to buy themselves out of trouble – 6B. Of course they don’t take it, it’s just an Astra.
Right about here is where our story starts to take a turn for the spicy. Rather than undocking to fight, the defenders immediately go for a public batphone on praisebob discord (https://discord.com/channels/459768945340317711/459769400061591587/1088237175381966868 - It’s a looong thread); a who’s-who of wormholer community. They say they’re total newbros, they don’t have a defence doctrine and don’t know what to do. They really didn’t want the fight at all. Can anyone fix this for them please? Perhaps the most interesting part – when their structure kill (below) of the other group they were camping is pointed out, they claim it’s part of a shared agreement between them and the locals. We finish the shields. The reinforce timer for armohull lands late into USTZ on Saturday, almost 4 days from now.
The batphone attempt on pb continues from the Hund1 (now) defenders. They deliver an Oscar-worthy performance – we don’t know why we’re being attacked! What ships do we use!? We only said something about loot pinata! Simultaneously, the local/evemail shitposting continues unabated. We break off from direct diplomacy around this point, they don’t have too much interesting to say. We are encouraged that there may be a decent fight around the hull timer with the potential for additional groups joining – we infiltrate a few more battle hungry legionnaires.
Typical eviction tradition would dictate around-the-clock hole control here (bob bless AUTZ doorstops). We don’t bother with that, they’re not worth that much trouble and we like our sleep – plus we’re not looking to bankrupt them, just make our point. It also gives them a good chance to supply for the hull timer fight, or maybe make a play for hole control. For clarity – we’re usually fine with trash-talk, although it should be punctuated with some decent explosions and well-meaning GFs in local. Content is king.
They extract most of their assets in preparation for the hull timer on the Astra. We maintain sporadic hole control as it suits us, also communally hoping that they finally make good on all the local salt and don’t blueball the hull timer fight. We feed a few tackle/scanner kills here and there, but mostly the few days are uneventful as the reinforcement timer ticks down. Hund1 salt levels remain overall consistent. We arrange for a few comrades to bolster our ranks in case the defence turns into a promising brawl of batphoned defenders/opportunists on the last day. We leave a skeleton crew on duty for the final night of hole control and bubble the highsec static. Other than a brief skirmish we have with an uninvolved 3rd party on rerolling the C3, the wormhole remains relatively quiet. https://ibb.co/PZzC8P3
Final day. We pick up full hole control midway through the day and resume the doorstopping. The Hund1 lads have been quiet since their public batphone attempts, other than the dotted intervals of local gibberish. We’re pre-empting a few attempts from the opposition to fight for hole control, or try to find the high-sec entrance to fly in reinforcements. They don’t bother trying. The time closes to the reinforcement timer and it’s clear that these few PvP elite aren’t planning to PvP.
Four hours to the timer. Intel picks up word that Bombers Bar is planning to make an appearance to our little skirmish. We find their fittings, strategy and watch their form-up numbers. Prophecy Navys, Guards, Trig-Buster Scorpions. An unconventional fleet comp for the usually covert Blops veterans. List of pilots sits around the 20 mark. Nothing too scary, but could be a wrench in our plans if there’s enough logged-off reinforcements in the Astra. They’ve got another matter to attend to (https://zkillboard.com/kill/107794195/ ) before they try to make an appearance at the besieged C2, so we leave that situation alone for now.
Two hours. A neutral writes in local. Derz (previous mentioned director) knows the character instantly; the notorious CJ – rather famous for expensive nano success. He says he’s got a fleet logged off in here, it’ll cost 5b to see the end of our eviction through. Derz reaches out to him to negotiate. CJ exits with one seed and self-destructs the other. Whether he had the fleet logged off or not doesn’t matter now. We roll one or two other seeds out with the doorsteps and recrit the HS as we go. Fewer enemy eyes in the hole each time.
We infiltrate our reinforcements in preparation for any additional potential logged-off defenders. Primarily flying Kiki’s and mixed tackle. They maintain a presence on the high-sec static – other than one poor allied newbro in a Retribution who warps to our Siege POS and is unfortunately tackled by the arrays. We burn out guardians to save him and gradually burn with him a full 200km out of the range of the guns and ewar so he can join his squadron on the hisec. Shout-out to Julius, their leadership said it was one his first fleets – he was an awesome sport. We appropriated him the title of ‘POS Lord’ on our comms.
One hour. Bombers bar are reforming and are preparing to be undock towards us. One of our operatives leaks the high-sec entrance to their FC (who as it turns out also has a seed in the hole). Unfortunately, it’s about 20 jumps from the actual system we rolled the HS static to. Side note – This part pains me somewhat, a lot of our lads fly BB, Spectre and other NPSI fleets and have a blast. They’ve got a wealth of experienced FCs and provide plenty of content for the community. Operational necessity however dictates a tactically sound choice, so they weren't going to be joining on this one.
Final timer approaches and we form the Drek/Guard fleet and land on grid with the Astra. The structure hums to life and deploys fighters. Our Drekavac fleet anchors up and wait for the last few minutes of reinforcement to expire. We’re aware that there is at least 2 T3Cs and 1-2 seeds for the opposition active and cloaked in the system. The pilots on hole control stay alert.
The BB fleet charges off to the leaked system, now mostly reshipped into Hecates for speed. The FC has a seed inside the C2, although he hasn’t been able to identify the correct high-sec entrance. The BB FC seed is quickly rolled out afterwards and their fleet ends abruptly after realising none of the 3 wormholes in his fleet’s system lead to this system. Then – nothing. No reinforcements. No pilots undock, no surprise dunk. The structure’s armor and hull hitpoints tick down slowly and the comrades relax for now. Seems there will be no grand defence attempt today, no PvP shenanigans from the defenders. We warp in the newly created Wet Paper Bag Derz (rightful CEO of the Legion Of Wet Paper Bags) to whore on the kill in an Ibis in honor of the weird narrative of the week. NOTE: This is the third part of a single post, following the second one. This wasn't meant to be split in three but the thread was too long for Reddit so I had to do this.

Battle Cry of Nature

Taking a secret path on Route 14 lead us to the Abundant Shrine. The small settlement of farmers lives under the benevolent watch of a small sanctuary, analogous to the one we can find in the Ilex Forest in Johto and in the middle of Celestic Town in Sinnoh. The obvious conclusion is this area was also colonized by Hisuian immigrants.
The shrine is specifically a 祠 [hokora], a small temple made in honor of a Kami in order to show gratitude for its protection. As a little girl makes us aware, the monument was built in honor of a God who saved the village from a ferocious battle.

“This little shrine is dedicated to a Pokémon called Landorus. They say that when Tornadus and Thundurus were whipping up storms that damaged houses and fields all over the Unova region, Landorus made them stop. That's a story from when my grandpa was just a little kid!”

Once upon a time, the Legendary Pokémon Tornadus and Thundurus started to clash, and storms and hurricanes towered menacingly over Unova. According to the girl’s tale, this happened “when my grandpa was just a little kid”, so we can place this event to approximately 70 years ago.
It was only thanks to Landorus intervention that the two Legendary Pokémon were calmed down, and the village harvest was saved. It’s then only natural for the Pokémon to be worshipped as a God of Land by its inhabitants:

“It is the Great Landorus that protects this land. With its help, we are assured of rich soil and a prosperous harvest.”

Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 further expand this story, confirming the Kami were in their Therian Forme when the battle took place:

“A long, long time ago… Tornadus and Thundurus started a rampage in Therian Forme. When everybody thought the Unova region would be ruined and gave up hope, Landorus, also in Therian Forme, appeared out of nowhere and stopped them. That's what they say. This has been placed in the shrine. Take this. They say the Reveal Glass brings Thundurus, Tornadus, and Landorus back to their original appearance.”

As we’ve already elaborated in the Lunar Duo analysis, the Forces of Nature Incarnate Formes are けしん [keshin], referring to the physical embodiments of Kami and other divine and mystical beings. Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus shapes themselves as anthropomorphic beings to interact with our dimensions, while their true appearance is their Therian Forme - something Laventon was able to realize.

An example of what is known as a “form change,” though I suspect this strange avian guise to be Tornadus's true form. Tornadus has been sighted crossing the ocean while in this form.

Therian Formes are れいじゅう[reijū], “sacred beasts” inspired by the Four Symbols of Chinese mythology - with the quartet completed with the introduction of Enamorus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. And it’s the Hisuian game which allows us to track the Legendary Pokémon movements.
We know Landorus was around at the time of the Relic Castle, blessing the land before men turned against him. Disillusioned, he then disappeared until very recently - and no other Forces of Nature played any significant role in Unova’s history. We now know that’s because they all left for Hisui, maybe in search of a land where Pokémon and humans lived in harmony: Celestica was in the right time and in the right place to draw the Kami’s attention.
There, Landorus was worshipped as a God of Field and Enamorus as a God of Spring, while the other two were clearly taken in less regard because of their violent attitude. The Celestica civilization lived in direct contact with higher beings, and its technology was advanced: considering Cogita is the one gifting us with the Reveal Glass, it’s possible the artifact was originally crafted by ancient Sinnohans.

A glass that reveals the truth. It is a mysterious glass that returns a Pokémon back to its original shape.

The mirror allowing the four beasts to return to their original form can be seen in its complete shape in LPA, while all other iterations lack the handle representing Enamorus. When the Forces of Nature were tamed by our character in Hisui, they evidently decided to return to their hometown alongside the pioneers - meaning the Reveal Glass that was enshrined on Route 14 is likely the same of the one in Hisui, only damaged during the journey. The sole Enamorus stayed behind, returning to Cogita as soon the life of the main character reached its end.
According to this reconstruction, the people of the Abundant Shrine were already familiar with Landorus - and this is mirrored by the fauna around the temple. Bronzong and Chimecho obviously wink to the Japanese cultural subtext, the former being worshipped as a herald of rain and bringer of bountiful harvests in Sinnoh, the latter being a 風鈴 [fūrin], small wind bells hung around Shinto shrines to ward off evil spirits. But it’s the fact people brought from Hisui Vulpix and Ninetales which may reinforce the idea a Landorus cult was already catching on before the community landed on Unova.

[Bronzong] It can summon rain clouds. People long ago revered it as the bringer of plentiful harvests.

According to developers, Tornadus and Thundurus Incarnate Formes are based on the Japanese Kami Fūjin and Raijin respectively, pretty fitting for deities of wind and thunder. Landorus, however, was though later in development, and Sugimori is cautious delivering more specific information about his inspiration.

Sugimori: “Mr Masuda asked for Pokémon based on Fūjin and Raijin, but the designs weren’t completed until late in the games’ development. I had a hard time figuring out how gods so closely resembling humans could become Pokémon. Asura statues have a really powerful presence, so I told the designer in charge to make their eyes large and intimidating. […] Landorus wasn’t added until later when a change was made during the game’s development - he was designed as the god of land.”

But the presence of the Fox Pokémon in the Abundant Shrine makes it possible for us to take a step forward: kitsune are, in fact, the messengers of Inari Ōkami, the Kami of fertility and agriculture revered as one of the main deities of Shinto mythos. The connection with Landorus is undeniable, and this settles the matter: if Hisuians brought Vulpix on their ships, the faith for Landorus was already resprouting back at home.
Finally, the last recorded battle between Tornadus and Thundurus dates to about 30 years ago. Based on the testimony of the family on Route 10, this time the Pokémon were in their Incarnate Formes - as that’s how the two recognize them.

“Long ago, I was a sharp-lookin' young man, and my wife was a fine-lookin' girl. This is a story from way back then. Right around here, a certain Pokémon taught Tornadus and Thundurus a lesson. For about 30 years after that, those two Pokémon kept it calm and quiet.”

But what are really the Forces of Nature? And how the Reveal Glass works? If the Incarnate Formes are a way for the four to interact with our dimension, then the Therian don’t belong to this plane of existence. In Pokémon Dream Radar, Professor Burnet elaborates on this particular topic during her studies on the Interdream Zone.

"Hee hee! So, whatcha think? I had you dive right in without an explanation, but... right now, you're looking at the space between dreams and reality. It's called the Interdream Zone.”

This place is described as a space between dreams and reality: we can imagine it as the layer separating the Dream World from the waking world. Inside this zone, special Dream Clouds made of oneiric matter can materialize, sometimes hiding a Pokémon who drifted to the sleeping realm.

"So, you see a fluffy object floating there like a cloud, right? That's a Dream Cloud! They materialize in different cycles and create energy.”

Helping with her research, we end up discovering the Therian Formes of the Kami started to linger inside the Interdream Zone. Curiously, they also present clouds all over their bodies - to which we can start to wonder if a connection exists between the two phenomena. And to Burnet excitement, it seems to be precisely the case:

“I just did a lot of research on that Tornadus... The reason it looks different than it does in the real world is... it changed its Forme to match its environment.”

According to the Professor, the Therian adapted to the environment of the Dream World resulting in a change of appearance. But how is this possible, if they are meant to be the Pokémon true shape? The Forces of Nature design are peculiar, especially as sacred beasts. The blend of an animalistic anatomy with anthropomorphic features makes them almost unsettling.
Altogether, they may share the common motif of 妖怪 [yaoguai], monsters of Chinese mythology from a multitude of different traditions. In particular, some popular myths describes natural beings - like common animals and plants - able to assume humanoid traits and sentience after having nurtured inside their body enough universal power, until they’re able to reach the status of divinity.
Maybe, something similar happened for the Forces of Nature: they are somehow connected to the Dream World, and their Therian Formes are a result of the adaptation to its environment despite being the Kami’s true shape. The only way to get out of this contradiction, is to admit the four weren’t always Legendary Pokémon.
At the end of the First Unovan War, the Dream World collided with the waking world. As we’ve seen already, the whole Unova was affected by this event, as Pass Powers materialized from dreams of all its inhabitants. Then, maybe the infinite amount of oneiric energy poured inside our dimension was naturally absorbed by living beings nearby - and whose strong enough to sustain it ascended to a God-like status.
The Forces of Nature may have been common Pokémon once, or even humans - the fact they carried their original sex may suggest they were once a family, possibly nobles of the Kingdom of the Vale who found themselves in eye of the storm when the Sword was lifted. And their rebirth as Kami only after the First War also contributes to explain why Landorus only appears since the age of the Relic Castle.
This quartet may not even be the only one affected by the Dream World collision in such a manner. The Swords of Justice appeared out of nowhere when Pokémon most needed them, and they also feature unsettling humanoid-faces. As they don’t age, and were even able to bestow part of their immortality to Keldeo, it’s unlikely they are just very rare descendants of Mew.
The creatures of the forest whished for heroes to come and rescue them from the flames of men, and there they were: their dreams swirled inside the hearts strong Pokémon, who suddenly reshaped as Gods. The Pokédex for Cobalion may reference this moment in saying it radiated the air of a leader from the moment it was born: being a guide for Pokémon in trouble was the reason it came to life in the first place.

From the moment it's born, this Pokémon radiates the air of a leader. Its presence will calm even vicious foes.

Energy of dreams spreading through Unova also partially affected its geography. The Dreamyard north of Striaton City was an old factory now abandoned, probably dating back to the industrialization period. According to NPC dialogues, the whole place is filled with a mysterious power attracting Pokémon, with the sequels further confirming their dreams linger there:

“The Dreamyard... I've heard that rarely seen Pokémon go there. A mysterious power remains that draws them there.”
“Latios was in the Dreamyard?! It must have appeared there because it sensed the dreams lingering there.”

Then, Munna and Musharna may be yaoguai of a lesser grade: they absorbed enough dream particles to drastically change their functioning - to the point the can produce a Dream Mist filled with sleeping images of people and Pokémon. A crucial factor for Fennel research, but not enough to be considered a Kami.

The mist emanating from their foreheads is packed with the dreams of people and Pokémon.

The White Forest seems to have went through a similar process. Different Pokémon appearing in the wild basing on the people visiting it is already similar to the Entree Forest, but the sequels definitely confirm this place was affected by dreams too:

“Have you come to challenge the White Treehollow? Oh, me? I'm here for a different reason. I'm just on a journey to become even stronger. Enough about that... Don't you think this place is strange? I mean, it wasn't even here two years ago.”

The White Treehollow grew in just two years, something rather incredible compared to its Black 2 counterpart. Again yaoguai can also belong to the plant kingdom originally, and the idea of a tree growing massive in size after feeding on dreams isn’t a shock when the Entree exists.

One final stretch

In the last century leading to the story narrated in the games, Unova reached its current shape. The modernization of Nimbasa and Castelia was completed, the airport of Mistralton opened to the public, and all four main bridged connecting the region were refined.
The wave of industrialization eventually reached the coasts of the young Virbank City. According to the map description, the industrial Virbank Complex to its South was built taking in consideration the needs of Pokémon working there - but the pollution caused by its fumes recently lured swarms of Koffing, and it’s a problem which can’t be ignored for much longer. To the North, instead, the Pokéstar Studios opened its doors, becoming in no time the most important film studios of the country.

A complex that is designed so Pokémon can work there easily.

With the explosion of tourism, coastal cities like Undella Town and Humilau City started to gain in popularity, and Unova finally became the melting pot of cultures that it today. Last but non least, the small Lentimas Town continued to live peacefully at the foothills of the Reversal Mountain, with an old man confirming the city exists at least from his youth:

“I was born here and will die here. Lentimas Town is a country town, but I don't mind, because I don't know anywhere else.”

Among the relevant events in contemporary history, there’s the supposed crush of a UFO in an Unovan desert [it’s unclear if the Pokédex refer to the Desert Resort or to the unexplorable area East to Route 4], from which Elgyem may have arrived on Earth.

Sightings of the Cerebral Pokémon effectively start only from 50 years ago, and although they can’t learn Cosmic Power naturally they are compatible with its TR - leaving more than one doubt regarding their true nature. What’s sure is that Elgyem have now gathered to the upper floors of the Celestic Tower, almost as if they’re trying to reach the sky above them.
The Mystery Files official website addresses the case, also showing a photo apparently taken the day of the incident. According to official sources, this was just a couple having a walk with their Elgyem: what do you want to believe?

Game Freak approach with their history has always been that of mimicry, with events of our world shaping the timeline of the games. But naturally, the 20th century is rather uncomfortable to narrate as they don’t want to dive too deep in controversial topics.
We know monarchies from all over the world started one day to fall, leaving room for Pokémon Leagues - and the massive diffusion of Poké Balls made Training an everyday activity for the newest generations. The details of this massive turn of events are never spoken out loudly, but for V generation games we actually have a very subtle hint:

“My mother once told me of a Pokémon that played a melody and danced so lightly that it filled people's hearts with joy. Then sorrow darkened the entire world, and the Pokémon lost the melody... Also, at that time, some red shoes were lost somewhere...”

The musician in Castelia City plays a song his mother taught him, and if we bring in our team the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta it’s revealed the melody was actually Relic Song. The Pokémon forgot how to perform the move until that moment, unable to change in form [“some red shoes were lost somewhere”], hiding scars of a traumatic event.
Meloetta lost its joy and its will to sing and dance when “sorrow darkened the entire world”. The event must be pretty recent if the man’s mother still remembered the ancient chant, and from games which recontextualizes Lt. Surge as Unovan the subtext is vivid enough: a World War happened.

“Lt. Surge! He used to be a soldier and acts as the Gym Leader of Vermilion City. Is he from the Unova region?”
Surge: “I tell you kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war! They zapped my enemies into paralysis!”

We’ll save the details of this unspoken conflict for another time. It’s probably a part of Pokémon history developers regretted to have put in the very first games, when they hadn’t yet realized the huge success the franchise would have had. But the image of a pure muse breaking its heart to the sight of the horrors of war is a gentle farewell to that original idea.

last saturday (march 25, 2023) I had my first experience with ayahuasca. I am used to mushrooms, I take mushs one or two times a year, for +-5 years, but I had a really interesting vision on this ayahuasca trip, that I would like to share.
20 min +- after I drink the tea, I was lying on a sofa and I saw a really dark tree, with the same color of the tea, made with vines. the vines were sparse from each other, but it was shaped like a tree trunk. Inside the trunk, there was a faceless head, with a tiny body without limbs (no arms, no legs). the head and body resembles a clit with a vulva, all with the same dark color. the "face" didnt have a mouth, but it talked to me. dialog was:
me: "can I call you mother?" "you can call me anything you like... listen, I will assure that you will have a nice and pleasant trip, but listen to me, you should not drink more if it offered to you" me: "but, how can I know if the effect will be too weak? what if I like a little more?" "this is not a negotiation, you are free to do whatever you like, this is simple terms"
I didnt feel like "the tree" was being imposing anything, it spoken nicely and calm. I understood the message and then the trip hit me really hard, it was really pleasant like "promised".
like I said, I had previous mushroom trips, but I never experienced a vivid dialogue like this. And I have aphantasia (can't form images in my mind), by I can recall the tree shape.
Also, I am a skeptical person, but this vivid vision and conversation had a profound impact on me. Anyone had similar experience? has anyone saw this dark, vined tree trunk?

So to preface this, our campaign has not only blessed us randomly with the deck of many things once, but twice. Our DM revels in it and loves to dangle the gamble of possible good pulls in front of us. How can we resist? Our party found the first deck after destroying a secret cult of Torag hideout and finding it on one of their mages. Without us knowing anything about it, we just decided to start pulling one card each. I got the euryale card which curses you. Another one of us was upgraded several levels, another lost their equipment, another got 3 wishes, and another got a card that had the image of a devil.
Long story short one of our players wanted to romance Gilmore from Gilmore's glorious goods. We had an entire evening with him. Beautiful delicious food, desserts, wonderful conversations. Then Gilmore decides we should all go on a walk together. Uh turns out. Gilmore wasn't Gilmore. He was in fact a lieutenant of Asmodeus in disguise and tried to kill us. We actually ended up destroying him, with our barbarian almost dying. He dropped some great items.
Lo and behold one of those items? A full deck of many things. So we all pulled cards. The one who pulled the card with wishes? Pulled the same card. So now he has a ton of wishes. Our barbarian pulled the skull card and fought death and won, our sorcerebard got a castle, and I pulled the rogue card. We ended the session there.
We began next week's session and I just couldn't resist. The DM had dangled greatness in my vision. I had to pull the cards again. So I did and got the rogue card again. The player who had gotten so many wishes decided to turn back time but it wasn't enough. He turned back time to just when I was about to pull a card so I pulled again. And this time I got the best card of all. The void card. My character fell over, in a coma. My character is a warlock who has a pact with u'kotoa. So one of the other players made a deal with him to give both her hands to find where my soul had been sent. Well apparently it was in a soul orb being guarded by the Demogorgon in the Abyss.😂😂
New character was created. And we found the real Gilmore who chastised all of us for pulling cards from the deck of many things. He was tied up in the back of his store and that devil had essentially created an illusion. Gilmore basically blamed all of us for the set of events that transpired and noted that my new character who decided not to pull any cards was the smartest one and should be the leader. 😂 I love DND so much man. Just PURE CHAOS.

8th grade twins are in the midst of some stupid bs girl drama and now my 9th grade daughter is in her own battle. Just got a call from her principal but she had already brought the drama up to me last night (I am so blessed they trust me with everything) so I wasn’t really surprised but I am surprised the other girls had the nerve to bring the school into it when they’re threatening to beat my daughters ass and calling her bff (& her) in the middle of the night Saturday to talk shit. And making shit talking TikToks aimed at my daughter. Like wtf do I do? I’ve asked my daughter to screenshot it all, be honest with me about what she’s said and to email the principal as well so she can put her side of the story out there. She’s afraid she’s going to be jumped when she gets back from spring break next week. All of this because they’re jealous. Same with the 8th graders…jealousy fueled drama 😩😤😵‍💫

Hey, I'm a 30f. I posted before about how I was bruising easily, getting petechia, circulation problems, and having some weird skin symptoms. Also A LOT of fatigue, but I'm hypothyroid so it's pretty much the norm even medicated. I've also been having weight problems.
I had a full CBC done a week and a half ago. I went to a walk-in because I had extreme bruising on my thighs and petechia from just lightly scratching them through my jeans. Everything came back in normal parameters except for my INR, which was abnormal at 1.2. (which explains the bruises and stuff). I've had a persistent rash on both sides of my neck for a year. It's not itchy and only goes away with a steroid cream. I was told to stop applying it and let them see how it develops.
I wasn't going to go back to the walk-in clinic as I have an appointment with my PCP in May and I didn't want to bog down the medical system. They called and asked me to come in for a lab results review, so I did.
I'd been keeping track of my symptoms and photos and stuff. Over the week, my circulation had been getting worse while standing. My feet have been going numb. Over the past two days, my arms/hands have also been affected and looking mottled and I've noticed more spider veins.
The doctor I saw today was a different doctor. He asked me why I was there when my lab work was "basically perfect" (even after I told him the clinic had phoned and asked me to come in). I showed him some of the images I had been taking and my neck rash, and asked if I could get something to help my neck as it looks gross and I work with the public.
He then said I had a full body skin infection and prescribed me doxycycline, prednisone, and Benadryl. I asked how he had come to this conclusion and he basically told me the rash in my neck area was a manifestation of system wide inflammation. I then asked if my blood work supported that as all my WBCs and stuff was within normal range a week and a half ago. And if he wanted to take my blood pressure or anything as even in the office, he agreed my arms had visibly mottled skin. He didn't think it was necessary. None of the answers I was given made sense and he wouldn't even tell me the name of the infection he suspected. He told me I shouldn't have come back and if I really wanted to question his decisions to come back on Saturday to see the first walk-in doctor that had ordered the tests.
I haven't filled the prescription yet. I left the office feeling awful for asking questions. I know enough that these are serious medications and can mask if something else was going on. I did phone my PCP's office and ask if my doctor had time to phone me before I fill this prescription. The receptionist, who knows me, felt like this was also weird and said she'd try her best.

I had also tried to ask if I could just suddenly be having a side effect to a medication I've been taking for a while, but again, got talked around and didn't even look up my medication list. I do take Synthroid for hypothyroidism, low dose of sertraline, and 40mg of Vyvanse (on work days). I've been on Vyvanse for 6 months, my current dose for 3, and it hasn't caused vasoconstriction before, but I know it's a possible side effect. I also take iron because I was anemic in October and the supplement resolved that.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble! I am doing all the steps to reach out to my PCP, but Reddit also has cool ideas sometimes too.

I recently started a new PoTD playthrough, rolling a wild orlan Unbroken/Trickster for my main, with starting stats: might 16, con 10, dex 10, per 20, int 13, res 9. I just hit level 7, and this build has absolutely taken off. Currently, I'm running Grave Calling and Magran's Blessing, but I plan to switch to Stalker's Patience and another weapon that adds engagement (Magran's Blessing is working great in that capacity currently). The Trickster's access to Mirror Image and Rygrim's Repulsive Visage makes this a very powerful tanking build with high damage from terror-triggered disengagement attacks. This build kicks into high gear at level 7 - much earlier than many multiclass builds. Very fun tank build.
I'm also running a tavern rolled Spiritualist for the first time (TroubadouBeguiler), wild orlan with starting stats: might 8, con 8, dex 16, per 20, int 19, res 7. She is a deception-spamming machine (Eyestrike, Phantom Foes, Sickening Horrors), combined with excellent passive chants that linger for 6 seconds. This build does close to zero damage, but is a powerhouse support class.
Other tavern-rolled party members include a Zealot (Priest of Skaen/Assassin) that is focusing on morningstars, switching to the 2h battle axe Amra eventually. I'm also trying a somewhat anti-synergistic Kind Wayfarers/Streetfighter Holy Slayer, using daggers and stilettos. I may re-roll this character, switching Kind Wayfarers for Bleak Walkers, but for now I need the healing from Kind Wayfarers' FoD.
The last spot is for rotating game-provided NPCs.

There are a lot of concepts to explain:
Bicameral Mentality
This is the belief that all life has TWO parts to their conscious mind, or possibly even soul: A higher being providing direct or possibly indirect instructions into the mind while the body itself just follows the chemical reactions and memories that it knows. I believe that while a lot of this lines up with what I know, there is much to keep in mind that it does not directly cover.
Why do people seem to remember past lives, and often have direct memories of them? Why do birthmarks seem to line up all too well for thousands of people for this to be mere coincidence? That doesn't necessarily mean they ARE past lives, they could just be the higher beings' chain as they move upwards. Why are they ascending? In all likelihood, it's to create more of US.
For all we know, we may only live once. Even if the higher beings live multiple times, it only happens once with THIS identity.
I believe our human bodies are dust animated by the Sun, like a wave of energy moving across a field. The human body eventually perishes, but as Nancy Adams says, "Life is brief, but when its gone, Love goes On and On."

I've had people tell me that life feels like The Truman Show or Plato's Cave to them, and I absolutely need to stress that I believe there are many key differences. In our case, I believe that the stage was created by us, and we wrote all the lines and plot points for our own enrichment for later on.
Far more importantly though, we aren't the only real ones, everyone else is just as real as we are.
Why would we do this? We can and should never truly know, because our own answers are far more important than any answers given to us, but I think it's kinda like this:
You can eat pie anytime and it tastes just fine. But if it tastes just fine, why would we have to leave for it? Because, if we didn't leave pure enlightenment in order to have conflicting romanticist feelings, then nobody, neither us nor anyone on the other side would get to enjoy the taste of the pie.
By living our lives, we give the taste of the pie to all of known consciousness, who DIDN'T have it before, but DO now, thanks to you and everyone else living our lives. After retrieving this very personal and subjective taste that is in many ways completely different for everyone, we keep it with us forever, and positive life experience that we conflate with everything else in this life is exactly why pie tastes so good. We are iterating upon the taste of the pie and making it better.

I learned why bad things happen to good people. If nothing bad ever happened to us, we would all basically be the same. It is like metal in a forge you have to heat it and strike it repeatedly to make a useful tool from it. We start this life with a blank piece of paper. With every incident we experience, a part of the blueprint is recorded until a complete plan for an individual is created. This blueprint dictates the end of our lives. To live happily in this realm is to become aware of the blueprint and change it. Lastly, time is only a concept measured here. In the other realm, it doesn't exist. While we may experience pain and sorrow on earth, it is only a second in the grand scheme of things. We have an eternity to live and in reality, souls never really die. Our life is just a thought providing circumstances for this existence. As the soul progresses, this trauma is forgotten and put in its proper perspective as part of the learning process.

I saw my life in rapid images, from the moment of my birth. I, who thought that my mother had never loved me, saw clearly, and felt, her love when she saw me for the first time. I saw how she kissed me and enfolded me in her arms. I felt different feelings and with every image that went through my mind, or before my eyes, I cannot define it. And just as I could feel deeply happy at an image of something good I had done for someone, so also this feeling would change immediately and I would feel myself deeply ashamed of something bad that I had done. I realized that no one was judging me other than myself, with a conscience full of wisdom and divine justice, which made me pass judgment on myself. I realized that I had done more bad than good and I was hugely regretful of my actions. From the depths of my soul, I asked to be given the chance to mend the damage I had done to the people who loved me. I learned that the spirit is God, Who is eternal, and that we reincarnate to learn different things, which would be impossible in a single lifetime. I learned that we form a single being with everything created. I learned that my earthly eyes are those through which God can recognize Himself, and be conscious of Himself. And I learned that what we think, feel and do remains imprinted in the universe and that we come to this life to improve, to learn in humility about all that surrounds us, and to teach what we have learned to others, and especially I learned that life is focused on two aspects: Love and Service.

It is amazing how incredibly practical the Soul is! To take a different body meant to ‘build’ a personality and a psychological, physical and emotional state and framework all over again from scratch. This involves re-creating many experiences of suffering and pain at all levels for me. But those things were still perfectly ‘useful’ for the Soul's purpose of liberating the mind from the fear of death, which is at the very core of all the fears we know and experience here and we, as Souls and as people want to heal/erase. I ‘saw’, or remembered rather, that each unloving thought we ever had, not only from this incarnation, but from previous lifetimes as well, leave like a ‘wave’ in the ‘fabric of Reality’. Similar to the wake a boat or a ship leaves behind as it crosses the ocean. This does not change reality in any way, it is just not natural, it does not correspond with our own Nature as we were created, as the very Love that we truly are. So our own Nature, our Divine Will, is to correct those meaningless thoughts. That's why we come back over and over again. I understand that to be the true meaning of Compassion.
Another important point I've learned is that the Soul does not ever come into this realm of time and space. What seems to come here is just a tiny aspect of an infinite Mind that still believes in separation, which is the source of all our fears. Including, of course, the fear of death, which is nothing but an effect of our belief in separation from all Life, from God, from Our One Self and from all there is. So, my experience of Heaven was rather ‘short’ for what I recall. I did go straight ‘back to business’ by creating my ‘future life experiences’ before coming back into the body.
I remember using ‘Archetypes’, ‘Patterns’ and so on for different things in order to ‘build’ the blueprint for my present/future life experience/s. The 'past' I had already had, so I built on what was already there and had already experienced. Family, personality, gender, mindset, nationality, historical time, I chose all those things. Furthermore, I would say that every single thought, emotion, feeling, sensation, choice, outcome, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we go through, even things we are not even remotely consciously aware of: it's all planned. To take things even further, I understand that all our life experiences, happen instantaneously and all at once. Here things only seem to occur in linear sequence but in Truth, our entire lives take place in the ‘blink of an eye’. In other words, what is going to happen tomorrow, it has already happened. We always experience our past. Crazy, eh?
In any case, because I was so eager to free the mind from illusions and the need to come back, I really loaded the ‘blueprint’ with life lessons, tough ones. One of the reasons I wanted to come back, to the same body, is because in the great scheme of things, in the Great Divine Cosmic Plan these are times of great opportunity to free one's mind/soul. Somehow, the year 2000 has a lot to do with it, it marks the end of a Cosmic Cycle, and thus, I really wanted to take full advantage of it. Because part of the ‘Blueprint’ includes the collective as well as the individual, each time we, as individuals heal a fearful thought or belief, the whole of Humanity becomes ‘elevated’ together with us. We are truly one.
I often try to remember to send a silent blessing whenever I see someone suffering, no matter for what reason, because I KNOW he or she is healing his/her mind as well as my mind and the mind of the collective. This is not meant to glorify or justify suffering; it is just that with my NDE I learned that the Soul is at work underneath the suffering I see. They are learning a valuable lesson, and therefore so do I. The same is true whenever I heal.

What a shitty weekend that was! Of all the things I've read, watched and listened to, I've gotta admit, I was expecting much worse but it still wasn't fun by any stretch of the imagination. I spent all day Saturday throwing up every time I took a sip of anything and several thousand times in between. The pain, nausea and cramps were uncomfortable but manageable. My biggest concern was not being able to keep meds down and reaching severe dehydration. I have bruised the back of both my hands, religiously pinching the skin as it's the only way I'd ever heard to check for dehydration. It's probably an old wives tale but made me feel better when the skin bounced back.
On Saturday night, after the thought of puking up anymore plain water, electrolyte solution or protein water made me wanna die, I tried a callipo ice lolly. Certainly not the sugar free, clear ice poles they recommend but as I was far too ill to leave the house and that was all that any of the local instant delivery companies were offering, I took my chances. By some miracle, it stayed down which allowed me to actually drink some water.
By Sunday I felt very slightly more human but was still being sick at least twice an hour and felt incredibly weak. I sent my son to the shop for oat milk, sugar free jelly and coconut water. Bless him, he tried but brought back almond milk, full sugar strawberry jelly and coconut milk. Out of desperation, I tried the jelly but it was so foul, I decided I'd rather succumb to death by malnutrition and dehydration. I spent the whole day restlessly napping, sipping water when I could and whimpering into my pillow.
Hallelujah for Monday and new beginings. I still feel more zombie than human but the scales are finally tipping in the right direction. I done another instant delivery today, buying strawberry and banana smoothie, sugar free raspberry jelly and coconut yogurt. Once tiny mouthfuls of all stayed down, I was emboldened to officially move onto the thick liquids/purée stage of my journey. It's now Monday evening and I've had a headache for a few hours but I'm not entirely surprised as I've only consumed approximately 130 calories in the last 72ish hours and doubt any of those stayed in me long enough to actually be digested at all. Also, everything I've had today apart from water has been laden with either sugar or sweeteners which I've always been sensitive to anyway.
I had half a cup of black tea for lunch and decided to "treat" myself for dinner so threw half a chicken breast and a few florets of broccoli into a pan with boiling water and half a stock cube which I then pureed and reduced into a thickish soup.
I still feel incredibly nauseous and the cramps are worse today than they've been over the weekend but the distinct lack of puking (with the exception of 3 times this morning) has spurred me on to continue this journey with hope instead of terror.

Some info to note about these translations: We are not claiming these are facts, they are theories. We have done this in our spare time for fun over the last few months (and some for even longer). They have been looked at by native Japanese speakers who have said that the meanings of the translations are valid, though the grammar may not be perfect due to the fact that it is written in an ancient Japanese prose form, but it still follows the Japanese subject-object-verb order. The translations were done by finding the cipher for the script as a whole, which resulted in the monument coming out to Kunrei-Shiki Romaji, which we then converted to Kana and then contextualized with Kanji. We will post this process at a later date. I have corrected the grammar so they make more grammatical sense in English.
With help from u/zoeysaurusrex, u/loruleanhistorian and others from the TGL Discord, these are our two best drafts of the translation for the monument that is found in the art book. The first, I have more confidence in since I spent more time on it than the second, as well as I had more practice.
Translation 1:

Some info to note about these translations: We are not claiming these are facts, they are theories. We have done this in our spare time for fun over the last few months (and some for even longer). They have been looked at by native Japanese speakers who have said that the meanings of the translations are valid, though the grammar may not be perfect due to the fact that it is written in an ancient Japanese prose form, but it still follows the Japanese subject-object-verb order. The translations were done by finding the cipher for the script as a whole, which resulted in the monument coming out to Kunrei-Shiki Romaji, which we then converted to Kana and then contextualized with Kanji. We will post this process at a later date. I have corrected the grammar so they make more grammatical sense in English.
With help from u/zoeysaurusrex, u/loruleanhistorian and others from the TGL Discord, these are our two best drafts of the translation for the monument that is found in the art book. The first, I have more confidence in since I spent more time on it than the second, as well as I had more practice.
Translation 1:

The eye of a fearless tribe's dragon/leader,

Prepared to choose a worthy king,
Blessed with a great and benevolent hero.
The throne of the Sacred Land,

I know this sub is full of similar posts and it can be annoying after so many posts about the same topic every single week, believe me, it is also annoying for me, however I've always been a quite curious person so I would like to know what others think about it.
Before we start I would just like to say that being objective will be key for a healthy, peacefull and interesting discussion about this, another thing is that I don't intent to discriminate, emotionally harm nor offend any queer person by any means as it is none of my business and it is also wrong (more about this at the end).
So, I bought an interlinear hebrew-greek Bible (an interlinear Bible uses the most literal possible translation of the scriptures), i'm using the edition published by Hendrickson publishers and I think it has been an absolutely amazing tool for my personal Bible study as i'm an extremely objective person driven by logic and analysis of things, yesterday I got curious about what is the most literal translation of one of the most controversial parts of the Bible and I found what can bee seen on image 1, 2 and 3 where it clearly translates a greek word as "homosexuals", statating that they are part of the people who will not inherit the kingdom of God, again i'm not using the new world translation, this is an interlinear Bible, as I love to see things as objectively as possible I would personally conclude that this is a matter only between a person and Jehovah in any ordinary situation, Jehovah know us even better than ourselves and only he knows who will make it to paradise, wather it be on heaven or a restored earth, I see it in a similar way to how people who are religiously jewish and muslims are not supposed to eat pork and other foods because of religious reasons. It should also be noted that the American standard version translates it as "abusers of themselves with men" and that google translates the original word as "looks masculine" as seen on image 4, however I would not trust google to translate an ancient greek text at all, specially the Bible.
Now, would this mean the Bible promotes the hatred of queer people? ABSOLUTELY NOT, hebrews 12:14 says
"Eagerly pursue peace and holiness with all, without which no one will se the Lord" in the interlinear version or
"Pursue peace with all people and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord" In the New world translation [Study edition].
This means we shall not discriminate nor mistreat anyone who hasn't done anything to us and I quote from Young people ask (a watchtower publication) "In fact, the Bible doesn’t promote hatred of anyone​—gay or straight. Rather, it tells us to pursue peace with all people, regardless of their lifestyle. (Hebrews 12:14) So it’s wrong to engage in bullying, hate crimes, or any other type of mistreatment of homosexuals.

All,
Previous heavy drinker for 10 years.
Had a health scare last march and cut down a fair bit since then (70-80 units weekly to 30-40 weekly for 6 months and then 10-20 units for 6 months and more recently once in the last 6 weeks.
Had an okay ultrasound back in October, bloods have been fine throughout.
Last bloods was 2 months ago, all fine but my bilirubin was 20, normal range 0-21, which worried me? Dr assured it was normal.
Did a urinox wee strip this morning and that was fine, don’t know how accurate they are.
Went out on Saturday and noticed that a bit of a yellow/orange tint to the corners? Although I don’t know if it was there before then.
I have severe health anxiety and I’m a bit of a mess so an answer would really go a long way. Also have a newborn (2 months) and I’m getting like 4 hours sleep a night, don’t know if that has an affect?
Any help or guidance would be really really appreciated? I don’t want to waste my drs time.
