[ Due to inspiration from another recent post, I decided to write my own Disphoria List. (my mother tongue is german and therefore the list is also written in the language and "only" translated with google, so maybe ignore grammar or term errors) ]

Here is a list of many physical and mental disphoria issues that have always bothered me, some to this day, or that I identify with can. I decided to just make this list for myself because I was adamant that I had to do it. Maybe it's also, to write something off my soul, that I've been carrying around with me for too long.

Physical disphoria:

- Ever since he was little he had a rather slender body, without many conspicuous typically male muscles, not even after he had come of age. At the time, I found this an embarrassing aspect because I didn't come across as "man enough" for everyone. Even when I started ~18. I had started privately with muscle building training (bodybuilding) for at least 15 years, nothing had ever developed and I stayed that way. Today, as a woman-to-be, I'm even glad that nothing has changed and that I have a more feminine body. Another muscle building training would be an absolute no-go for me and would NEVER be an option!

- My hair was rather curly and thin only in early childhood, but as I slowly grew up, the hair became thinner and fell out more and more, which means that I now have "private hairline corners", but that doesn't bother me anymore that I , since I became a woman, I only like to wear wigs anyway (I have always liked long hair), which means that my "real" hair underneath has become unimportant to me and the mostly long hair of the wigs has now become a "part of me" became.

- I am now also very happy that I never really had "typical male hair" on my body, only isolated spots and not very dense. Now that I'm a woman, I find hairy parts of my body "disturbing" and unfeminine anyway, so I shave them off regularly whenever I can and HATE the task every time. I really hope that the new hormones will slow down hair growth.
​
- As a young woman, my height is a bit bothersome to me. Even without shoes, I find myself "a bit" too tall to pass as a woman. Since I can't walk well anyway (I limp), I make myself a little smaller anyway, because I have to balance with my knees.
​
- I feel my hands are neither too big nor too small to really call them feminine. I can't put it better.
​
- I feel my voice, not very feminine, but not masculine either. Earlier in the still old represented gender I only pressed the voice down with a lot of force to appear as a "real man". Since I've also hardly been able to talk to anyone longer in recent years, I almost have the feeling that I've "forgotten" how to talk and I think I have to start something from scratch in order to first learn to talk and then first to take care of feminization of the voice. I just want to make it so that my voice is "somewhat" perceived as feminine, that it also corresponds to my otherwise completely feminine appearance. If there was a magic pill or an electronic chip that you just had to swallow, I would take it NOW,

- Every time I see myself in the mirror without a wig, I hate my only male face. I don't even look if I can avoid it. Only with a wig can I see myself at least somewhat as feminine in the mirror image. It doesn't matter to me whether there's make-up or not.
​
- Luckily I have had rather thin legs since I was young. The bodybuilding training at that time didn't help here either, fortunately!, now that I want to have more feminine legs anyway. At least they match my skirts visually!
​
- Unfortunately, I have a rather typical male upper body shape (everything straight). I would love to somehow have a few "feminine curves" that I can also pass as female in terms of body structure. Even a minimal difference with a narrow waist and slightly wider hips would be enough for me.
​
- Even during my compulsory school years, I was more interested in participating in the exercises with the girls (gymnastics, skipping, tightrope dancing, leapfrog,...) than in being forced to participate in all the "brutal" boys' (ball) sports .
​
- Pants I found my whole life very annoying and uncomfortable. I always got a permanent feeling of "restricted movement" from them. Due to my not healthy musculoskeletal system, I was always sore and scraped because of all the pants. Now that I'm a woman, I love wearing dresses and skirts with full conviction and I can move much more freely! (Pants really only in extremely bad weather or temperature conditions.)

- Finally: my feet! Oh how I hate those giant male "Bigfoot"! So I am extremely limited when it comes to choosing women's shoes of any kind. Since "normal" women's sizes end a few sizes earlier than my actual size. I can only occasionally fall back on "oversizes", even if they don't match my taste optically. I would love to have them surgically removed and replaced with very small, slim women's feet, but that's just a dream!

Mental disphoria:
​
- Nowadays, when people call me my old "dead" name, or with wrong pronouns/salutation (He/M..), I can understand if it happens "just" once or unintentionally, but if it happens repeatedly ,

- I used to be “allowed” to show neither emotions nor weakness in society, otherwise you would immediately become a “sissy” and be rejected. But since my decision to switch, I've let my feelings out openly and I'm not ashamed to shed light tears.
​
- Whether in childhood, adolescence, or even before my TG path, when I was mostly just among boys/men, I never felt comfortable and rather out of place. Everything about them bothered me: their mostly insulting sayings/jokes, their general often arrogant manner and behavior, or even just their bad smells! I would have loved to hand it over back then. Only when I was together with mostly only girls/women did I feel comfortable and safe and there was a feeling of connection even then. Especially it smelled much nicer! Of course it all made sense nowadays and I understand what my intuition wanted to convey back then!

- It hadn't bothered me before, but when I was younger, when I loved playing video games (like every kid I guess) where there was charactecharacter selection in the game, I ALWAYS wanted to control only one female charactecharacter . I always found them much prettier and I could just identify with them better. However, if there was only one male character in games, I wanted to find a way to change it to female, or even swap it out. Now that makes perfect sense too.
​
- When I slowly started my TG path or was still considering whether I could really be a trans woman, I had done many tests (mostly online) that were titled such as. "What is your gender?", "Are you perhaps transsexual?" or "Are you male or female?". I had always hoped from the start that the results would evaluate me as "female" or "transsexual". When the word "male" came out, "You might be transsexual" or similar ambiguous results, I was very offended or offended.
​
- My "old self", as a (slightly) "choleric" tended to freak out. Since I have now openly accepted and lived out my feminine side, which has always been dormant in me, I have noticed to my amazement that I have become much calmer, more compassionate, more sociable and gentler. I've become a real elegant lady and I'm very grateful for that.
​
- I finally have the feeling that I can now live and enjoy my "true" character in full control and not just (act) play a "put-on" character like I used to slip into a costume with a mask.
​
- For almost 2 years I have been (at least) mentally walking this path to becoming a perfect woman and I can say with absolute(!) certainty that I want to stay/be like this,

- I have absolutely no shyness or fear of hormone therapy (which I am pursuing on my own; no surgery planned!) and I really do hope that the new estrogens will achieve at least the minimal effect that I wish for to make me personally "100% woman " to call.
​
- Even when I was very young, I was (even if only secretly) very enthusiastic about series and films in which characters from fairy tales and even mythical creatures appear, such as e.g. Fairies, (female) werewolves and vampires, and especially mermaids! and I wanted so badly to be her! I could only identify with these exclusively female creatures. Male versions of such beings, if they also exist in the opposite sex, would not have made me happy at all. Even now, at an advanced age, I freely admit that I still love all these mythical creatures very much!
​
- I realized even before I made the decision to change my life into that of a true woman that I was very interested in all kinds of transformation comics or stories. I just love reading/watching it to this day a lot, like a male character e.g. takes a pill, goes into a machine, or has an operation to completely transform into a biological girl/woman! Especially for me it has an added attraction when this character not only takes on the opposite gender, but also becomes a not-fully-human species (mythical creatures)!

- I hate ever being considered male! I was and am the most feminine person you can imagine.
​
- No matter if at that time eg. with friends in front of the shared video game console, or at other gatherings of any kind, where mostly boys/men were present and there were always derogatory remarks or insulting jokes about women, it just made me very angry every time. Now I understand why too! (Because I was a woman inside myself back then!)
​
- I wish I could learn to control dreams so I could dream of being a true biological woman, at least in this dream world!
​
- Today's society, unfortunately still mostly controlled by men, scares me to this day! I would so much rather live in a world where there were ONLY women! (Like some Si.Fi.Fantasy movies)

- I am so thankful to have chosen the path of a trans woman! If for some reason I didn't get hormones, I would feel completely down forever!
​
- I would love to have a relationship where I would be fully respected, accepted and treated as a woman. I really want to go completely from "The One Who Protects" to "The One Who Is Protected"! (Even if only figuratively speaking)

- Everything that I used to want to feel as "cute" or "enchanting" I had to "bury" and hide inside myself. That was very bad for me, because I didn't want to like things that were "typically girly". Now I can show it openly

- Since we're on the subject of "cute", if someone had previously called me "cute", where I still had to fake my "false self" to the outside, I would have had to express massive annoyance, but if someone called me that now , I would be so happy about it and my heart would beat faster with great joy. (Unfortunately, this has only happened once so far, but only because my face was hidden in the FFP2 mask while wearing a girly (Japanese) school uniform ("Cosplay"). I would like such a case, even if I'm just wearing normal everyday feminine clothes and my face is showing.

- In general, my whole interest in films/series/books/..ect.. has changed since I decided to live my "real self". Where action, thriller, violence, science fiction, horror, etc. used to be important to me, it's now comedy, romance, fantasy, drama, love, etc.... at least everything that's more "quiet". (Exceptions prove the rule.)

So, these are items on my list of disphoria that have come to mind so far. I hope that perhaps other people reading this will relate to one point or another, to experience with me a sense of togetherness and the knowledge that I/we are not alone. Thank you for reading!

A (imo good) argument has been, that welfare takes agency away from people and creates a dangerous loop of dependency that is also unefficient at serving its purpose (Friedmann). The Capabilities Approach (Sen & Nußbaum, ...) proposes, that a governments fundamental job is to provide fundamental "options" or capabilities for its citizens. For exampel: ~ "The capability to live a human live to its normal length" or "The capability to have a good health" (see: Nußbaum, Creating Capabilities, 2011, p. 33).
So (as I understand it) the governments job is to prevent "capabilitie failures", if necessary, by government spending. But not by spending in specific goods (say: Housing projects, Food stamps) that take agency away from people, but by enabling accessible options; for example by issuing accessible housing loans, that enable people to house themselfs in any way they want. For example by creating a community housing project by themselfs or build single family homes - whatever suits their loan and interest.
Question: What economists have discussed the intersection between Liberal Econ Theory and Capabilities approach and are worth reading? Can the capabilities approach provide a platform for government spending on the poor, that is in line with "keeping people in agency" as proposed by classic liberal theory?

Blossoms begins to appear, a pink and white humming in the trees, and with the crooning, does spring propose marriage every other block? Pop the question every other corner? Not literally perhaps – song birds don’t carry marriage vows beneath their wings, though the squirrels seem prepared to bear witness to whatever goes on. Literal marriage is but one type, though – there are a few more. I have been the subject of secret marriage proposals galore, some sincerer than others, a fair number more trick than feat. Have you ever seen such a beast in the field? Slinking about tulip shoots and daffodils? Trickster marriage climbs up your pant leg, intimates building a nest somewhere inside. Does saying its name aloud embolden it to go further? A question we need to pose if we hope to adequately inform the public about marriage sighted in the wild.
We see two cheerful adults meeting for lunch in an upscale eatery brimming with prosperity. They shake hands, order cobb salads or whatever, drink chilled water from crystal goblets. She asks him about his level of protection, and he offers an astute answer about coverage, a nod toward shrewd judgment, and one supposes the lunch date is about insurance, but the tone shifts, the conversation wanders – she proposes an additional policy, a lilt in her voice, wonders if this is something he might want. I do, he admits. She smiles hugely, points to two rings left on the tablecloth from the water glasses, says she does, too, and someone begins to play violin from the corner. The lunch dates at the tables around them break into applause, and a child with a basket of flower petals materializes out of thin air, scatters them around the dining area.
Don’t think it can’t happen to you! What the service announcement jumps to as we watch the poor chump get up from the table, a ball and chain now attached to his ankle – tricked into marriage. Cut to a car salesperson writing Just Married! on the back of a pickup. Cut to a barista handing a latte to a customer, with I Do! written on the side. Cut to a doctor finishing a suture shaped like wedding bands. A taxi driver behind the wheel states how easy it was to marry a few people every shift, typically the better tippers. A minister in vestments admits to adding himself to many of the weddings he officiates, stares at his hands while he says it. A woman in silhouette recounts the boy-scout troop selling candy bars who came calling – they seemed so earnest in their little uniforms and yellow bandanas. On impulse, she married the whole pack.
Spring, the way you rained tonight – the wetness of the streets, the sound of it coaxing the earth to share the news with the swarms from underneath – a kind of buzzing coming off the concrete surfaces, the sound a certain kind of light might make when blades of grass all stand up at once. For now, sprays of lime-green grass poke up on the south side of the building – so strangely tall at this time of year, nature’s truest ambitions fill the mind, and those dreams again? Everything everywhere is starting to stir, then leaps out of bed as fast as it can. I feel the antennae of ants waving about, inquiring about the existence of reality. And after that? They’ll probably all want to marry me, along with the aphids, lady bugs, and lacewings, along with microbiology, along with springs-to-be and seasons unnamed that will one day take our hand, walk us up the aisle.
The speciation of marriage has more than one motive drawing it forward, but that it moves of its own accord, where it will, is now generally accepted. A woman marries her house key, not to unlock hidden desire, but so she’d be less likely to lose it. Guy goes to Vegas, tries to marry a slot machine, goes about as well as you’d expect. A bride marries her wedding dress. A groom marries a pair of wedding rings, slips them on the ring finger of either hand. Someone who fixes watches starts marrying them, even after they head back to someone else’s pocket. A rectilinear road striper marries the striped road – the line, a kind of pre-nup. A farmer and a herd of milk cows declare their marriage to the world, fling open the gates, amble over brightened grass, through magic glade, try to imagine a world of universal sustenance, future cities built from it.
What new season might spring suggest? The atmosphere wants its own season, that it might spread the light and rain around as it pleases. Dreams want their own season, that whole towns might venture to meadow and park to sleep beneath the stars. Rivers want their own season, that time might continue to fill the oceans of our souls with reason. Roadways want their own season, that we might careen through the open land like particles passing through the universe unhindered. Destinations want their own season, that the orphans in us all might at last meet its parent. Contemplation wants its own season, that we might know the many ways from here to there. Rest assured, we are destined to cross the cosmos, betrothed en route by solar systems galore. Until then, spring takes us beneath its wings, flies to a high branch, inhales to sing.

We broke up a long time ago and it's all ancient history. Things ended on very bad terms between us and we have not spoken to one another in years. Since then, I have seen other people, and so have they.
I was curious one day and did a search on them and stumbled upon a website they created to show off their artwork. There was a link to a video featuring a showcase of various images taken throughout the years that included memes, selfies, pictures of friends, etc. This showcase was overlayed with text and music to illustrate a theme. Pictures of me appear often in this video.
What is also odd is that there is a collage of their previous ex-partners with their faces blurred out but I am not in the collage.
The relationship was complicated and we were shitty to one another. I do not doubt that they won't ever reach out. For some reason, however, seeing images of me being incorporated into their project left me with mixed feelings. There is a profound feeling of guilt and sadness and I realize that the best thing I can ever do for them now is to leave them alone forever.

We have gathered the community’s feedback for years now. We realized it was finally time to accept the evidence: summoning is what makes this game fun.
Therefore, from today onwards, we will be allowing pull posts of any sort, whether it’s pull stories, shaft streaks, or even the simplest possible screenshot of your summon.
 
But that’s not all, since summons are so essential to the game, and were forbidden here for years, we want to encourage people spreading their luck. All post flairs have therefore been changed to include pulls, so that every post made can be linked to what is truly the best aspect of the game.
Of course, for those who don’t care that much about pulls, do not be afraid, we will be pinning a megathread for any other Dokkan subjects if you really do not want to see them. You can still discuss other subjects on the subreddit of course, the transition will be done smoothly.

I don’t have a college in mind yet or a major, but I do enjoy writing, art, and psychology. This makes planning my junior year difficult as I don‘t want colleges to think I‘m taking APs just because. I did choose stuff I think I‘d enjoy and that I can handle (hopefully), but I still don‘t know much about the classes themselves. To makes things simpler lets‘s say I‘m aiming for a moderately difficult college, are there any improvements that can be made in order to appear like a good applicant?
Also any recommendations for colleges would be great. I literally have no clue.

I'm single, have been divorced for a good few years now and single for the last year or so.

Y’all probably don’t know me but I’ve been on this sub for so long, before 40k members. 2 Reddit accounts, countless gacha releases, countless shutdowns, and countless people I’ve talked to about gachas. It’s a hard decision to make to be honest. I hate the amount of money and time I’ve put into gachas, but I love (some) the communities I’ve been apart of. However I need to stop. It’s becoming a problem.
To put in perspective I’m a 17 year old highschool student that works a part time job in fast food. I’m not good at school but I do get along with my coworkers. I struggle to be serious about anything in person, I’ve never been in a romantic relationship, I don’t have a good relationship with any relatives, I don’t have many real friends, I’m stubborn, and I’m bad with money.
I’ve spent around $2,965(usd) in gachas… that’s a lot of fucking money for a teenager. Since I’m on iOS I can’t really refund much but I’ve tried refunding what I can, still waiting.
I’m not new to gambling, I’ve spent roughly 7-8 thousand in csgo and 5 thousand of that is on cases. I’m not gunna quit csgo and I have my reasons but I do want to work towards quitting cases. But that’s not the point of this post.
I have a few reasons why I’m quitting

• friends know I have a problem, and they’re also in bad spots in life and I don’t wanna be another bad example of a person
• I don’t want my parents to be right about me “you’ll be homeless when you’re an adult” and “you’ll never be as good as your brother” are ones for example
• I’ve been really debating suicide for the past few years. Everyone says ‘oh things will get better, just give it time’ and they’ve been wrong. So I’m gunna try putting some effort into changing things and see how that goes. I’m still unsure about if I will or not if things don’t work out.
• I’ve been in denial about my gambling problem since it started. I’ve realized this and thought “I’m just being dramatic” but I really don’t think so anymore. I spent more than 3/4s what I made last year on gambling in video games.
• I really need to start saving money if I want to move out when I’m 18-19. I turn 18 later this year and I have 5 dollars in my bank account.

I won’t leave this community since it would be a waste if I kept my gacha knowledge to myself. So I’ll be lurking and trying to answer questions when I see em.
The only things I might come back for are gunna the black clover gacha and maybe some nutzo buttzo release but I’m not sure what that would even be. But if I do ever come back I’m really gunna try my hardest to be f2p.
I’m realizing this is an unfortunate time to post something like this but this is not an April fools joke. I know I can’t prove that to y’all but I’m really not joking.

We have been cut off from the rest of the system. Long have we been scrutinized from afar. Like worms under a magnifying glass. I think that’s the idiom. Maybe it’s bugs. No matter. We have no idea about the capabilities of their sensors and how deep they can penetrate, but they know we have dug deep into the crust of this isolated moon. To our knowledge, our newly built ships will form a blockade around our moon and remain vigilant until we build our capital ships to defend us from the onslaught to come.
Or have they forgotten about us? It has been nearly two decades Universal System Time, since the bombardment that killed thousands of our people. Shall we venture out? That question has plagued the minds of many since the bombs stopped falling.
A young woman on the morning of her adulthood scooted back her stool to relish the completion of a project that has taken the majority of her teenage years. She took a breath before bounding from the stool and entering an adjacent room. There, her father sat in an overstuffed chair, asleep while the vid player played.
“Dad,” she did her best to attenuate her excitement.
His eyes opened and rotated toward her. “What is it, Natsuki?”
“It’s done! It’s ready to be fired up!”
He sat skeptically. “You’re serious.”
She nodded her head emphatically. She assisted him out of the chair and he followed her out to the project. Natsuki proceeded to pull back the old tarp, revealing an old space fighter and climbed into the cockpit.
“Don’t fire that up, it may bring them back.”
“Relax dad, I took the old transceiver and transponder out long ago. And the thruster is one of ours.”
“I’m still not convinced it’s safe.”
She tapped the hull. “I figured out what the material on the hull is.”
“What?” he asked.
“It reduces the radar cross-section and deflects ladar.”
“The council’s not going to let you test it. It’s too dangerous. It’ll bring them back. We’ve lost too many of us. I have learned to enjoy the quiet, all the while knowing it may not last.”
“We’ve put thousands of ships in orbit and nary a peep from the infamous they. And none of those relics are half as capable as this one.”
“How do you know it’s capable of even flying, escaping Eileithyia’s gravity well, supporting your life while doing it all?”
“I have done the tests. The simulations….”
“The simulations! You haven’t run a real test.”
“That’s why I need the council’s approval. You can get me an audience with them.”
He looked away from her large glistening eyes. “I have voiced my displeasure with this, Natsuki. But I know determination when I see it. I wish you would have put it to use somewhere else.” He closed his eyes and drew a deep breath. “I’ll get you an audience with the council. You are as manipulative as your mother.”
