I’m 9.5 weeks, with my 3rd pregnancy (though 1st was an early loss, so functionally kinda like second). When I lay down at night, I feel like I’m feeling baby fluttering. But it’s much too early, right?
I really don’t think it’s gas. Gas doesn’t feel like this. Plus, I’m really not having digestive troubles on that end. I haven’t been gassy or constipated or anything.
In my last pregnancy, I felt baby move every single day from 16weeks, even though I am fat and had an anterior placenta, which both often mean you don’t feel baby move until later. So maybe I’m just fairly aware of what my usual vs unusual body sensations are?

I’m looking for a specific fanfiction that I read on either AO3, LiveJournal, or Tumblr about a year ago. The fic is an Andreil fic where Andrew is a businessman/mafia boss. Andrew and Neil are already together and everyone assumes that Neil is just a pretty boy and underestimates him. The main plot is that they go to a business meeting where Andrew is seeted and Neil is standing behind him. The fic has a long description of how Neil appears very cool and attracts no attention to himself but is actually on full alert. Neil is also in a suit and he’s hiding a gun. There is an attack on Andrew by one of the people at the meeting, but Neil anticipated this right as it happens and prevents the attack by shooting the bad guy with almost superhuman speed before he harms Andrew. I’m seeing a guy and it’s been great connection since we first started talking 3 months ago. No red or orange flags, good green flags, good communication etc. we hang out as friends and intimacy is amazing. All good! We had the dtr talk and are exclusive. I have a young child and He is busy w hobbies a lot of the evenings so we stick to times I have off which is weekends. Then sometimes he needs a night for friends or himself too. But basically we spend most of my free time together. I have my life he has his and we chat through the day/night w messages. His last partner sort of stopped him doing his own thing and he got sad about it. I am wanting him to do his own passions too, they’re great I’m full support. This isn’t some sketchy thing, but 100% applies to me.
I own a furniture company. We recently hired on employees and some box trucks for local town deliveries. Problem though is, new furniture hasn’t replaced the selling of my used furniture collection (I sell both new and pre-owned furniture). New furniture, people in that ecosystem are okay with sales tax. No issue. Pre-owned, we sell on OfferUp and Facebook marketplace, but NOBODY considers sales tax. You might say “just increase the price of the listing” in theory yes, reality no. A single $100-$200 increase can be the difference of people interested to nobody messaging. In AZ sales tax is 8.6%, and my average item is about $2000-$3000, so sales tax can be an extra $200-$300 on top of it. People don’t want to pay that in the second-hand market ecosystem.
Because I have to eat the cost of sales tax (because AZ doesn’t allow separation of freight cost, which is my cost to import or acquire goods, specially on the used-furniture aspect), my “sales tax” is a lot higher due to it coming from my gross profit. AZ statutes code 15-5-133 has a law saying that if a business has a separate delivery charge for a tangible good, that is separate on the invoice, then delivery doesn’t get charged sales tax.
So, my devious little plan would be to open up a logistics company underneath my LLC, I’d have company (A) be retail, and company (B) be logistics. I would simply have the delivery fee to customers (both in advertisements and invoices) be my freight cost. That way my gross profit is truly only being taxed at the rate of 8.6% , but now it’s two companies potentially getting taxed for different reasons. So I was thinking of “private leasing” the vehicles from company A to company B, and the amount would be — my freight cost. That way company B shows no profit. Company B doesn’t pay taxes, and company A isn’t paying extra in sales tax by incurring the cost, since people on used/secondary markets aren’t willing to pay sales tax.
Is this legal? Not trying to intentionally break the law, but looking for any legal loophole to help me out.

But I don’t have any other choice but to take this leap of faith each day. My parents were neglectful and sheltered me horribly. The kind of cult weirdo sheltering behavior that makes peoples jaws drop when I tell them the story. So, they did not prepare my siblings and I for adulthood in the slightest. I’m 24 but have the life experience of a kid. My driving skills as a result are also very poor. They did everything they could to cripple me emotionally and financially but I finally got away! Finally.
I recently left. Packed my shit and ran. Would be homeless if not living with my step sister. But she’s very busy with work and not my mom. She can’t help me other than provide a roof. So for me that means “fake it ‘till you make it” This city is so different from my small town. My only driving experience thus far was 3 minutes down the road to my old workplace. That’s it.
Now for the very first time, I’m merging onto 70mph freeways by myself in rush hour. Driving in the dark. Driving hours back to the family home to pick up more of my stuff. But I keep missing exits, taking wrong turns, I almost ran a red light, I keep getting honked at. At night, I can’t see shit. I keep missing vital turns, then Google maps mocking me “proceed to the route” dude I can’t see it! My eyes are bad, I can’t tell what signs say until it’s too late. But I can’t afford to see an eye doctor.
I’m stressed as hell. It’s only a matter of time before I freaking kill myself because no one taught me what to do at a roundabout or how to merge across multiple lanes going 70+ miles per hour. I can’t freaking see at night and my cars lights are dim as hell. I can’t afford a better car or to fix the messed up lights. I can’t afford lessons. I barely have enough money at the moment. At least I can be proud that I somehow have made it out of Columbus OH during peak rush hour 3 times now in one piece. We are notorious for jacked up roads and deadly rush hour. I make it very late to my destination, but alive.
Holy crap, I’ve done it so far. But it’s beyond exhausting learning the ins and outs of driving in real time. I know, it’s stupid, but all I’ve got left is stupid. Buses won’t take me far and they’re NOT safe here either... not about to get groped again.

Video learning has exploded since the pandemic, and YouTube has steadily grown, into the common resource for just about everything. Top influencers are excellent at engaging their audience, but sadly, gaining a massive following has is from having charisma rather than superior expertise, yet no one cares.
Anyone can call themselves a coach and not having to deal with a governing agency attracted me to coaching for many reason, but this also can cause harm when unethical people or “so-called” dating experts this their opinion should be good enough. In fact, listening to how some big-wig influencer story about how they got started is comical. A few simply dated (not sure what else?) lots of men in a short time, another one who’s not ashamed to be trashy has a YouTube channel and was trashing guys (again, a lot of dates) and some girl kept pressuring her for coaching, so she finally gave in…..
Then the guys are super bitter from what I assume involves a past with lots of rejection. She like he was training for the triathlon, but with a mentor, he was dedication to learning everything from the best (womanizer) and when talks about the night he had a threesome, he tears up. In his mind, life is not worth living if you’re not having random sex with strangers OFTEN .Basically the quality of one’s entire existence can be measured by the amount of women they sleep with. It may seem like I’m a hater, but my I used some lengthy examples to drive home the fact that who know what to believe anymore? If professionals who completed years of school are barely improving their patient’s lives, how are ordinary people who gained their “education” by having one night stands? I have seen a few coaches provide value, but how are you guys to discern between the good vs bad? Even of someone so dedicated to inner growth, they go hard with their therapist’s advice and then some. It won’t matter. They’re are not given the proper instructions. It’s no wonder society becomes more depraved each year. My strong opinion evolved from almost a lifetime of involvement in the MH industry in some way, shape or form. Starting for age 7 and never stopped. Resolving my struggles played a big role when deciding to pursue a bachelors and masters degree in psychology. I found it odd that not much empathsis was placed on actually helping those who may one day trust us with their lives, bt instead, we focused on useless , out-of -date theories, and whether Freud wanted to fu*k his mom. Grosss. Anyway, I quickly found work in the field, and met several good friends who were licensed professionals. I realized their lives were extremely dysfunctional and instead of expressing concern about their patients, they often were annoyed at them over minor things and even judgmental. Growing increasingly disgusted, I eventually decided that life coaching will be a better option, due to the goal oriented nature. I was impressed and figured clients would strive for self-sufficiency, as opposed to needing your forever therapist to help with any decision. Once again, I envisioned lifelong suffering because after completing two separate certificate programs, i realized life coaching was more superficial than therapist.
Knowing that core beliefs deep inside our subconscious, are so powerful that any process made without addressing REAL issues humans revert to what they know and feel comfortable with. I felt overwhelmingly hopeless, lost the will to fight and began to accept that I’ll always feel comfortable in my skin, my social interactions, which are dictated by my unstable mood, will remain unpredictable, so I’ll still be flaky and the worst was not having a clue how to stop habitually self-sabotaging. Well that spiral didn’t last long. Soon after, learning facts about the brain genuinely blew my mind, turning into an obsession and passion.

Well, the Drobo 8D I'd been using as my primary array just gave up the ghost, and I'm currently involved in a fight with Asurion who wants me to ship it off to their repair house in Williamsville, NY to fix it.
(I think Drobo went out of business over a year ago, and getting parts and software would be a miracle. In any case, I won't be going back to using the 8D for anything important, especially now with macOS 14 coming up and no one to fix firmware or drivers.)
In the meantime, I've placed on order a DS1821+, system RAM, and a TrendNet 4x2.5gb 2x10gb switch. I've also ordered 10gb cards for the DS1821+ and my current DS1817+ where my backups reside.
I intend to hook both Synology boxes to the 10g ports in the switch, and one of the 2.5gb ports go to my Orbi Wifi 6 Satellite LAN port (1gb) and one to my iMac (10gb).
The 8D was set up as a flat 128 TB array with backups going to a number of shares on the DS1817+ - anyone have any advice for getting the data off the backup shares and on to a single target share on the DS1821+?
If I can initiate the transfer from one of the Synologies it can go 10gb->switch->10gb - if I have to go through the iMac it'll go through the network once for a read, and again for a write with at least one of those trips taking place at 2.5gb.
Basically I want to merge a few shares on the DS1817+ to a single share on the DS1821+, and if I can do it Synology-to-Synology it can take place at 10gb. Speed is kinda important because I have about 55 TB to transfer.
I know I won't be getting a full 10gb - the data resides on eight spinning disks after all - but I may have the ability to exceed 2.5gb (and the data would only have to traverse the network once vs. twice using the iMac as the copy host).
So … does anyone have any idea about how to initiate the transfer from one Synology to the other straight from one Synology to the other - merging multiple shares on one into a single target share on the other?
I don't yet have the DS1821+ in house, and I've been hesitant to commit to Sync which might reset the target share on initiation which is a problem if I have to run multiple syncs.
Eventually, I'd like to set up a backup from the DS1821+ to the DS1817+ which would back up various directories into shares the way I was doing it - now without the iMac doing the copying. Now that my working array will be an intelligent NAS rather than a DAS it seems wasteful to force the data to traverse the network twice for the backup.

I’m a guy and my best friend cheated on his girlfriend during a vacation, they’ve been together 5+ years. I wasn’t on this trip, he shared it with me a bit later on. I have high respect for my friend and his girlfriend, I have very little close friends and consider them both genuine people. Recently I’ve gone through personal growth, which led me towards becoming a more ethical person (I’ve always been, but holding myself to a standard has become more important) mainly because of substance use and depression. Him sharing that with me in the moment I didn’t have much of a reaction, but now 2 weeks later it’s began to weigh on me significantly. I spoke to him about how I felt and held him accountable, he agreed and it felt good to talk, however, it seemed he still didn’t plan to talk to her (for now at least). The dilemma is I have loyalty to my best friend for confiding a sharing a difficult secret with me, but I also feel a moral obligation to tell to her about it. I’m trying to understand my moral obligation, if any, because I’d be hurting multiple people in any direction. What he did was wrong and I believe she deserves to know, but do I get to hold opinion or is this none of my business to get mingled in?

That they were alone for so many years while partnered that they don’t need (nor want) to devote a window of time post-breakup or divorce to flying solo. This seems to infer that being alone in their marriage affords them a pass from being alone single and allows them to bypass devoting a concerted window of time post-breakup to being on their own. And every time I hear this, it never feels felt quite right. It gets stuck in my craw and wears at me like a piece of gravel in my sneaker. My mind grapples with the meaning of these statements. With what it says about how we as a society view living solo. With how we perceive singlehood and people who choose not to partner. I bristle because implicit in these comments are values, biases, and fears. It’s fraught with stereotypes and myths, and most importantly, it misses the mark — that being alone in your marriage is not the same as being alone and single and that this is an important distinction to make. It reminds me of people who say they were single parenting while their partner was away for a weekend, that parenting without their partner home was a piece of cake. It’s misguided and inaccurate. Being alone in your marriage can be profoundly painful, much worse in my experience than being single. Nothing quite compares to the dull and constant ache of having your partner, someone perfectly capable of giving hugs and helping with laundry, sitting lifeless in the next room, coming home clueless from work, walking past you like a ghost. The presence of a loved one in our proximity who does not respond to our aches, needs, and desires amplifies existential realities we often turn to others to alleviate. Realities like we are born into this world alone, and similarly, we will go out alone — that the birth canal and the delirium of dying are individual endeavors, no matter who will hold our hand, nurse us or greet us in the spirit world. I can still remember a day when my then-partner was sitting on the couch, not even ten feet away from me. I was cooking and accidentally burned my arm by spilling chicken broth. I remember how I cried out and recoiled from the hot liquid that seared my skin, how I heard the continuous clicking on his laptop keyboard while he stared blankly at the screen and did not acknowledge my pain. It’s an extreme example, but you get the gist, we rely on others, our partners, to be there when we need them and when they are not there for us, we feel more acutely alone than we ever would if we were on our own. But here’s the deal, if you leap from a lonely marriage into a new partnership with no break in between, you miss something that I believe is essential — the opportunity to have a relationship with your adult self and to fall in love with life on its terms. In my experience, the most enduring way to tackle loneliness is through cultivating a relationship with solitude. But sadly, when I go to the thesaurus to investigate solitude, I find words like emptiness, isolation, confinement, loneliness, and wasteland; therein lies my point. We live in a culture that conflates solitude with loneliness; we do not make a nuanced distinction between the two; we are crude people when it comes to words. Something as simple as defining solitude gives way to our cultural fears, biases, and very understandable human vulnerabilities. There is power in language. It can permeate our thoughts and weave a spell, have us stumbling blindly into the arms of another where we expect things will be different, and maybe they will be — for a while. But as any Gen Xer should remember, when Luke Skywalker pulled off the mask of Darth Vader in the Cave of Evil, Luke saw his own face, not Vader’s. Translation: Swapping out partners still brings you back to yourself. The reality is, it is not eitheor. Relationships teach us much when we let them, as does solitude. There is a sweet spot in between serial monogamy and desolation. It requires us to devote a balanced and ample window of time in both relationship and solitude. I’m speaking to the tendency of most American adults to favor the first camp and avoid the second — to treat singlehood as the ugly stepchild adopted only when external circumstances thrust it upon us. I’m offering encouragement that if you commit to spending a minimum of a year alone, the universe may reward you ten-fold. That you will feel as if you have a superpower. I have felt the bliss of new love and the solid, steady reliability of a twelve-year marriage — the dependability of someone who will notice if I go into cardiac arrest one afternoon, who can pick up medicine if I am home sick with the flu. I have experienced being a single mother and sole provider, laid in my bed at night with my baby girl in my arms while ice pellets pummel my roof, the power out, no heat but the warmth of our bodies. I’m not the first to wonder if my beloved would poison me and certainly not the last to feel the sting of love gone wrong. I’ve felt the terror of running headlong into heartbreak more than once, and sometimes I’ve lept, and sometimes I’ve cowered. Though, if I’m to be honest, it’s morphed into it’s a hybrid move, a cower-leap sort of thing. There have been predictable moments of tenderness, sorrow, terror, joy, and emptiness in each lifetime I’ve lived. What I take away is knowing that cultivating a relationship with oneself is necessary if we wish to embark on the lofty ideals of modern-day love. That mutuality, domesticity, and intimacy — relationships functioning as “people growing machines” are possible. But that they demand of us something far more complex than the nuclear families of our parents — unions rooted in gendered roles and pragmatic resignation to the mundane and the terrible. I hold out hope for the former and shun the latter. I am a believer in modern love. When my last long-term relationship ended in 2019, I committed myself to spend an entire year single. That year morphed into two-plus years with the onset of COVID19 and the challenges it brought to dating. During that time, I watched no less than six friends become separated, divorced, and re-partner. I’m truly happy for them and genuinely wish them the best. Still, I’m acutely aware that I bring my own biases, and sometimes I feel that I’m in a bind. * * \* I’m in the business of selling health. As a couples therapist, I err towards preventative medicine versus managing symptoms. I’m more like the doctor promoting eating well and exercise than the physician who hands you a bottle of pills to manage Type 2 diabetes. Sometimes, I feel like people no more want to hear a couples therapist touting the merits of solitude than they want to see a dentist and get a root canal. And it’s OK to re-partner right after a breakup or have a series of flings (I’ve been there), but please don’t claim you get the Fastpass because you were alone in your marriage, don’t trick yourself like that. Say it feels good, say you are afraid, horny, or lonely, say anything (but that) because they are different types of aloneness and can’t be swapped out. And if you are looking for guidance about what to do if your relationship ends or wondering how to heal best and not repeat the same mistakes — to be fully present for your children as you navigate divorce. Not surprisingly, my recommendation is to stay single for a good long chunk of time. Hang out with every facet of you, with the full catastrophe of living. If you are heterosexual, partake in gender-bending roles that your partner once did. Spend a holiday alone. Have sex for one. Laugh and cry and laugh again. I promise it won’t kill you. And in time, you’ll come to trust that if you shout holy hell at the heavens, a voice will answer (call it the universe or call it yourself), and you’ll understand that you never have to be alone again — in a partnership or singlehood. I’m a survivor only player . I have a good amount of hours playing survivor and I am good at it. No matter how good I am most of my games are a fight to win as a survivor against some of the most common killers can prove to be quite difficult for my team . Solo queue is hellish but the difference in difficulty between killers by average vs survivors shouldn’t be this big. So recently I played killer for the first time and I’m getting 4k each game with little knowledge about how to play killer . It is so much easier to win as killer that I’m surprised that they’re constantly nerfing survivors/ buffing killers

I (25F) was over at my partners (25M) house working in the kitchen for a few hours. He came downstairs at at around 12 all I said was “hey” and he started freaking out saying he needs to be left alone, needs to focus on himself and doesn’t want to do anything with me at this point as he was busy doing admin work as he was flying overseas in the afternoon.

I met this girl through a mutual friend over facebook. I initiated the convo and it seemed fine in the beginning. I was asking questions she was asking them back, the usual stuff.
I asked her for coffee she replied saying we should text more before going on a first date which I was okay with. I asked to call her and she just said yeah sounds good. I never asked for her number because she didn’t say anything other than yeah sounds good . and so the call never happened. Was I wrong here?
We talk a bit more over text and I ask her out again on a first date. She says yes. We decide on a day. I didn’t plan the date neither did she. At this point she started to initiate conversations the last two times we spoke. I didn’t realize it at the time but now that I look at our texts it seems like I didn’t ask her questions back and didn’t try to carry the conversation the last time we spoke. I was busy at the time.
So since the conversation ended we didn’t speak for two days. I started the conversation by replying to her story a day before our date. She replied normally and didn’t confirm the date. We talked two to three times more on our supposed date day and she talked normally, wasn’t mad and didn’t bring up the date.
I didn’t reply to her cuz I think she forgot. Next day i bring it up and I acknowledge that we had a date and that I’m busy cuz of I’m travelling to Texas soon. She ended things with me and said it’s not going to work. She didn’t mention the date at all. I was mad her. She didn’t unfriend me so I removed her myself on facebook three days later .

I'm a citizen of an EU member country and for the last months I've been struggling with work in my country as well neighbouring countries. Due to laws in my country that favour big companies rather than small businesses I'm unable to continue operating my small firm profitably, even though I graduated economics that's not my field of work I'm a certified electrician and I've been doing PV systems, I've also offered overhauls and designing services for residential electrical systems. It's been almost 5 years since I started this journey so I would say im qualified and experienced enough. Now unfortunately due to laws small companies pay higher tax than big ones, they also have the option of buying in bulk for less as well as operating in teams that usually have one qualified guy and 2-3 Indians or Chinese dudes that just help him.
I want to find a job in the US since I know there are laws in place to protect jobs I know due to the same laws it's going to be hard for a foreigner to work there but from my experience electricians have always been in demand in most developed countries.
So the question is where should I look for a job that sponsors foreign workers? Would you recommend a recruitment agency? If yes which one? I also hold a b1 visa for 10 years does it help with anything?
