My ex-girlfriend, 20F at the time and I, 21M at the time, broke up about 4 years ago after two years of dating. It was a tumultuous period for me, and it was very hard for me to get over her considering the circumstances of the breakup and how closely aligned/close we were before. But, after counseling and general psych stuff to work on abandonment issues, I moved on. I have been focusing on my career and life ambitions and I am currently in a relationship with someone else that I have been seeing for about a year.
The issue is, about 6 months before I started seeing this new person - I ran into my ex at a party. She told me she still loved me and asked if I felt the same way - I wanted to say yes but I didn't and I don't know why. I think maybe out of some unforeseen need to 'get back' at her. But, the worst part is that I realized I did still love her. We tried to be friends briefly, but after she started seeing someone - she said we shouldn't talk anymore.
I tried to move on again and when I started dating this new person, everything was fine for quite some time. Unfortunately, my ex and I have started to work in the same area of the CBD, so I see her often. Whenever I do, my stomach feels sick, my knees go weak and I get all clammy - not able to think straight for the next few hours. This is a very unfamiliar feeling for me as I do not feel this way at all regarding any of my other exes.
We ran into each other a professional networking event, but after chatting briefly - she said she would be right back and I hid amongst a crowd of people I didn't know in order to avoid the pressing questions I knew she would have about my life (has been this way before). I saw her looking for me in the crowd, but I didn't go to her. After I recovered from my stupor, I went to look for her and realized she had left early. I decided to message her, but after two exchanges, she left me on read.
We obviously have unfinished business, but I'm not sure how to approach it with her. I'm still seeing this person and for all intents and purposes I assume she's still seeing the same person she was last year. I have no idea what to do generally, but I have some ideas to bounce off the wall.

He married his high school sweetheart, Joanna, and they settled down in a cozy little house in the town where they both grew up. For years, Jameson led a quiet and unremarkable life. He went to work, came home to his wife, and spent his evenings watching TV or reading a book. But all that changed when he discovered that his wife was having an affair with his best friend, Travis. At first, Jameson was in denial. He couldn't believe that Joanna, the woman he had loved and trusted for years, would do something like that. But as he started to notice more and more signs of the affair, his anger began to build. One night, after coming home from work early, Jameson caught Joanna and Travis in the act. The Strangler can use Wrath of Bones four times per match. Once activated, it takes 30 seconds for the power to recharge. When a survivor is affected by Wrath of Bones, they are consumed by fear and start to hallucinate, causing their vision to blur and distort. While the survivor is under the effect of Wrath of Bones, they cannot perform any actions, including repairing generators, healing themselves or other survivors, sabotaging hooks, or opening exit gates.
Perk 1: Vengeful Spirit The Strangler can sense the aura of survivors who are healing or sabotaging his hooks. Survivors within a 16-meter range of a hooked survivor are revealed to The Strangler for 3 seconds when they start healing or sabotaging a hook. This perk has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
Perk 2: Bone Collector For each survivor The Strangler hooks, he gains a token. Each token grants a bonus to The Strangler's action speed and movement speed, up to a maximum of 3 tokens. The bonus for each token is 4%. The Strangler loses all tokens if he is stunned. The bonus persists for the remainder of the trial.

Comment 2-now deleted they commented a sob story about how their drug abused husband was video taping her and showing it to his friends to make fun of her and goes onto (in quite a detailed fashion) to explain more in depth about the abuse and DV she was enduring. It’s very apparent this scammer in particular spent some time reading other DV victim’s comments on the pages posts and came out with this super guilt trippy story to play on the emotions of vulnerable abuse victims in order to scam them. She wraps up the comment with very quickly (but also very vague) saying that a specific Instagram page that she named had saved her life and helped her get away and get all of her accounts and stuff back and win the divorce. Most definitely a recovery scammer. Comment 3- I called the scammer out for trying to scam me, and tagged the page to notify them as well that they had scammers preying on their vulnerable victim followers. At this point I clicked the scammers page to poke around and sure enough they weren’t a very smart scammer and if you scrolled down there were pictures of the actual scammer, like two selfies of their face. I love when they forget to delete their old selfies before trying to scam people. So I took a screenshot and went back to pick on them. When I got back to the thread they had instantly deleted their comment trying to scam me. Kicking myself for forgetting to grab that screen. Comment 4-7 me having fun with my call out bc I thought it was hilarious that they deleted their scam comment so dang quickly. Hope y’all enjoy! I know I had fun calling them out lol. |

 | TL;DR 32yo mom, suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum during back to back pregnancies ending 12/20 and 04/22. Started out with beautiful, healthy, capable teeth and 3 years and two babies later I now resemble someone who lived a very hard life of addiction and am now recovering, or not. I’d never had braces so they weren’t celebrity straight, but I always pretended like I was across the pond and my (albeit very slightly) crooked smile was endearing and made me unique. I found out I was pregnant with my toddler baby, and first girl. Prior to this I had 3 very healthy , almost almost comfortable pregnancies where I gained upwards of a whole other adult human and gave birth to 8 and 9 pounds babies with almost zero complications. 10 years and a divorce later and I’m happily pregnant with the baby girl I never even allowed myself to dream I may have. Cue Hyperemesis Gravidarum for 9 months, a total pregnancy weight gain of 4 pounds, and the healthiest 7.11 pound baby girl that we had tucked into her very own bed at home less than 18 hours later. Just as I was planning to start working on the absolute bedlam that took place in my mouth while growing this fantastical daughter of mine, I found out I was pregnant once more. This was very decidedly for more reasons than one, the very last of my offspring and I decided to let their gender be a surprise. Cue 9 more months of vomiting 4-20+ times PER DAY, every single day, but thankfully even though I look about 40 years older, she was and has been the picture of healthy, bouncing baby girl as well. My caboose will be one year old soon, and I finally mustered up the courage to walk into a dentists office I found on the Delta website and see just how bad it actually was. I was quoted 16,000, and that includes my “premier plus 15 word descriptor of Delta Dental “insurance”, for only the top half of my jaw. And my lower teeth are significantly more decayed than my top, I’m assuming from the physics of vomitus. I’m looking in to my options, and also the current level of decay, and I believe that All on Four implants are going to be the best for me. They are stationary with 4 implants holstering the “plates” in, not nearly as expensive as individual implants and/or veneers, and with me hoping to need a few more years of effort out of these chompers of mine, I think it’s the most practical solution. If anyone knows of affordable options, dental assistance (even if income-based. Mom of 5 here) or even any programs that I might could apply for, that would be fantastic! And I’d still really like to read what improvements you all think would enhance the naturally good and kinda blur over the not so pretty parts as a woman rapidly approaching my mids. |

Hello! I switched from an oral bcp to a skyla iud Oct 2022, so it’s been 5 months. For the past 2-3 months I have had A LOT of spotting/light bleeding (I can’t actually tell if it’s spotting or just a light period). It will be for 7-10 days and then go away for maybe 5-10 days and then start back up again and im getting super frustrated. Periods before were usually only 3-4 days in length for me while on oral birth control and before i was on any birth control. I was hoping it would gradually get better but have yet to see that. Everything I have read says it could be normal for the first 3-6 months and I am approaching that 6 month mark so getting nervous that this is the new normal. Has this happened with anyone else and did it eventually go away or become less frequent?

WEST READING, Pennsylvania -- A woman pulled alive from the rubble of a West Reading, Pennsylvania chocolate factory after an explosion that killed seven co-workers says her arm caught fire as flames engulfed the building - and then she fell through the floor into a vat of liquid chocolate. The dark liquid extinguished her blazing arm, but Patricia Borges wound up breaking her collarbone and both of her heels. She would spend the next nine hours screaming for help and waiting for rescue as firefighters battled the inferno and choppers thumped overhead at the R.M. Palmer Co. factory. "When I began to burn, I thought it was the end for me," Borges, 50, told The Associated Press in an exclusive interview from her hospital bed in West Reading, Pennsylvania, just minutes from the chocolate factory where she worked as a machine operator. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board planned to interview Borges on Friday. The March 24 blast at R.M. Palmer killed seven of Borges's co-workers and injured 10. Federal, state and local investigations are underway. A cause has not been determined, but the federal transportation safety agency has characterized it as a natural gas explosion. Borges said she and others had complained about a gas odor about 30 minutes before the factory blew up. She is angry Palmer didn't immediately evacuate. She said the deaths of her co-workers - including her close friend, Judith Lopez-Moran - could've been prevented. Others workers have also said they smelled natural gas, according to their relatives. Palmer, a 75-year-old, family-run company with deep roots in the small town 60 miles (96 kilometers) northwest of Philadelphia, has not responded to questions about the workers' claims. Speaking in Spanish over videoconference, her eyes bruised and her burned right arm heavily bandaged, Borges recounted her terrifying brush with death. The factory was getting ready for a product switch that day, so instead of running a candy-wrapping machine as usual, she was helping to clean. At 4:30 p.m., Borges told the AP, she smelled natural gas. It was strong and nauseated her. Borges and her co-workers approached their supervisor, asking "what was going to be done, if we were going to be evacuated," she recalled. Borges said the supervisor noted someone higher up would have to make that decision. So she got back to work. Just before 5 p.m., the two-story brick building exploded. Borges, who'd been on a ladder, was thrown to the ground. She heard screaming. There was fire everywhere, and the flames quickly overtook her. "I asked God why he was giving me such a horrible death," she said. "I asked him to save me, that I didn't want to die in the fire." She began to run. That's when the floor gave way, and she could feel herself falling - into a long, horizontal tank of chocolate in the factory's basement. At 4 feet, 10 inches tall, Borges landed on her feet in chest-high liquid. The chocolate extinguished the flames, but she believes her fall is what broke her feet. The vat began filling with water from firefighters' hoses, eventually forcing Borges to climb out as it reached neck level. She sat on the lip of the tank, then jumped into a pool of water that had formed on the basement floor. Briefly submerged, Borges said she swallowed a mouthful of water before surfacing. She grabbed onto some plastic tubing. And then she waited. "Help, help, please help!" she yelled, over and over, for hours. No one came. The pain grew more intense. The water was frigid. The main supply pipe for the building's fire suppression system had ruptured - and water was pouring into the basement. She lost track of time but thought she might be there for days. "The only thing I wanted was to get out of there," she said. Finally, in the middle of the night, she saw a light and screamed anew for help. Search-and-rescue dogs had alerted their handlers that a survivor might be in the rubble. Now, as rescuers carefully worked their way down to the basement, they heard Borges's cries. Calling for quiet, the rescuers followed the sound of her voice. They found her in a tight space, in chest-deep water. She made her way to them and was placed in a litter. "She was severely hypothermic and banged up," conscious but "absolutely confused," said Ken Pagurek, who helped lead rescue efforts as program manager of Pennsylvania Task Force 1, an emergency response team that deploys to disaster sites around the country. "I think had they not gotten to her when they did, there was a very good chance the number of victims was going to be plus one," said Pagurek, also a captain in the Philadelphia Fire Department. Her rescue gave hope to first responders who already had pulled two bodies from the rubble in the hours after the blast. Rescuers spent two more days at the pile. They found five more bodies but no additional survivors. Borges now faces surgery on both feet and a long recovery. Her family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help her pay the bills. Borges, who came to the United States 31 years ago from Puebla state in south-central Mexico, has worked at Palmer for four years. She said she's seeking accountability. "I wanted to speak so that this will be prevented in the future," she said. I am considering buying a PS5 in the coming days but I am a bit convoluted about it. One major thing that is holding me back is the cost of games. I don't want to shell out 5-7k for each new game that comes out and these costs hold up well even after a significant time after release. Even 3K for old games seems too high.
Now coming to the point, I've read a couple of comments here that people buy used discs & trade/sell them post-completion. I want to understand what is the avg amount that will be spent on games considering that you'll buy about 6-8 games per year (I am talking about AAA titles). What are some of the places where you can buy these genuine discs for a low price and what is the approx cost per game?
I want to see if this can hold up for say 4-5 years at least.
Also, are there any other issues that come up most commonly with PS5? Like controller issues or disc drive issues?

My wife was super excited to try Birdie's after seeing it on "Somebody Feed Phil." It was disappointing to say the least.
The gnocchi was underdone - it seemed like it was dried gnocchi out of a box, and they didn't quite cook it long enough. It wasn't quite al dente - in fact, it was almost crunchy.
The steak tartare was crunchy too - because it was full of pecan shells.
On a positive note, the deviled eggs were amazing, and the wine list was fantastic. The snapper had good flavor too, although it was over-salted for our taste (and we don't shy away from salt).
I feel like the place may be a victim of its own success? Like the concepts were great, but the execution was just sloppy. It was like 6 PM and there was already a line around the block, so I guess they were scrambling, maybe. I remember reading that Guy Fieri vets a restaurant pretty thoroughly to make sure they can handle the increased volume; Phil Rosenthal should probably do the same.

His desktop PC has a passcode to get in as well. What ideas can you help me with short of breaking laws with gps, hidden cameras, and spyware? A local breeder is retiring of their “Queens” from breeding, as is adopting her out as she is no longer happy being around other hormonal queens and excited kittens. The breeder is meeting with someone else tomorrow, but if that doesn’t go through they will be contacting me. I’m heartbroken because I know it most likely will not be getting get, but I’m excited anyways and can’t help but “plan” already. I’ve been doing a lot of research, and I have other pets (1 dog and 4 sugar gliders) but after reading up more on the breed will definitely be getting pet insurance for her if I have the absolute honor of adopting her. I went through Pawlicy Advisor to get a quote as I had seen some people recommended trying that, and it recommended MetLife pet insurance? It SEEMS like it covers damn near everything and 80% at that. Anyone have experience with this insurance? Or have any recommendations for a pet insurance you have your Sphynx cat on with good coverage/deductible for stuff like accidents, routine care, breed specific illnesses, dental etc?

In law, there are different levels of intent that are required for all crimes. We call this mens rea. The idea is, the intent of a person who kills in self defense is different than the intent needed for a murderer. It seems fairly obvious that this is the case. But this idea can be applied to a wide range of scenarios. Here, I'll try to explain why I'm opposed to Linus' advertising plan for the LTT backpack, but first, I'll explain the legal analogy.
Generally speaking, under the Model Penal Code (the "MPC," a Model Act adopted by many, but not all, states in the United States), there are 4 levels of mens rea, and in order from "most" intent to "least" intent, they are:
The standard example of mens rea used in law schools is criminal homicide. There are a few different ways to "grade" homicide (the MPC approach, the "degrees of murder" approach, and the common law approach), but we'll focus on the MPC approach.
Under the MPC, homicide is graded as follows:
Murder is purposely killing, knowingly killing, or recklessly and with extreme indifference killing (this doesn't quite map to recklessly as we saw above, so don't think its the same).
Manslaughter is recklessly killing, or under a condition of extreme mental or emotional distress killing.
Negligent homicide is killing negligently.
Why do we distinguish at all? Someone dies at the end, and the defendant did it. Let's say we have a defendant that killed purposely, and we have a defendant that killed negligently. Why do we punish the two defendants differently? Because what we are actually punishing is not the act of killing (in law, this is called the actus reus), we are punishing killing with intent (in law, again, we call this mens rea). Thus, we judge that lying in wait and killing someone via torture is more deserving of punishment than accidentally killing someone via speeding, and that is more deserving of punishment than killing someone via failing to render aid (this is sort of disputed as to whether someone should be punished for this at all).
What does this have to do with Linus' argument today in the WAN show? Consider as follows:
You wish to accomplish some legitimate, above-board business objective–let's say, you want to build a second office building for your growing business. You consider two different contracts. The first contractor follows the letter of the law completely. Her business follows the proper protocols for hiring immigrant labor. She allows inspectors from the department of labor to inspect her worksite. She has translated worker's rights fliers, and has posted them at all jobsites she operates at. She is licensed by the state in various ways–health and safety, handyman license, and drilling and construction licenses. She offers acceptable wages. She give this information to clients upon request, and is well known for treating her workers well. But she is also known for asking for repeated extensions, and she often refuses jobs that are too hard, too large, or that don't pay well.
The second contractor is a new operator in town. He is much larger, and has an established reputation for aggressive construction deadlines. But you have questions about his practices. Namely, you've walked passed a few worksites of theirs, and you see workers positioned below large cranes, workers without helmets, and workers who seem to have worked throughout the night. To allay some of your concerns, you talk with a friend, who has contracted with the second contractor before.
