So we met last weekend (he works as a waiter in a restaurant) when I gave him my number and we had our first date in the week. I’m M24 and he is M22.
All over the weekend, we were texting back and forth. Was going really well.
Here comes the first date. He asked loads of questions, we spent hours with each other chatting away before we realised the time and that he had to get to work. Throughout the date there was lots of ‘little moments’. Stuff like where he had something stuck in his boot (we were walking through the forest) so I held his hand to keep him sturdy. A few moments where I nearly slipped and he held me up. Or like when I showed him a particular ring I wear and he put it back on my finger for me. Nothing massive but definitely a few of those ‘spark’ moments when you touch. At the end, there was no generic ‘we should do this again sometime’ before leaving, but rather we stayed around our cars chatting. He even said “I’ll defo see you again”. We brainstormed ideas of what we could do next, and he said he wanted to arrange the next one (as I arranged the first) and was asking me questions like “do you like Turkish food” so was definitely thinking about where we could go. We even settled on what day we could both do, and said we would to head into London for that evening. He was telling me how he is at a family wedding the coming days and was talking all about the family drama etc. He then put his hand on my shoulder and said “you might meet them one day and you’ll understand what I’m talking about!”. We ended with a really close hug before we went separate ways. Great vibes, great guy, flirty, neither of us were inappropriate with the other etc, and we had the next date planned. Overall - green flags all round. He also texted me first after the date saying “thanks for today, was nice x”.
The last few days he’s been away for a family wedding so has been really slow at replying - completely understand that and no issues at all.
Then yesterday morning he texted explaining his mate surprised him with theatre tickets on his only day off (when our second date was planned) and apologised saying he may have to reschedule. I played it chill, saying “That’s sounds cool, you seeing anything nice? But no stress all good with me, just let me know a date that works instead x”. This morning (24 hours later) he replied with “Will do x”.
Now I do know he is super busy. But would you say he is slow-ghosting? I don’t see how I can respond to that ‘will do’ text as I left the ball in his court and he hasn’t (as yet) come back with any alternative date suggestions. But at the same time why say all those things on the first date and continue replying (albeit slowly) if he wasn’t interested?
It’s confusing because all the green flags were there, and I may be overthinking where he’s just waiting to get his rota from work.
But would anyone have any takes or advice on the situation? I almost want to ask him “are you still interested?” but it’s only been one date and that’s a bit needy.
So yeah, any advice to help make sense of the situation would be much appreciated!!

Second, actual DIY types know this is 'Sweat Equity', the WORK you do saves a crap ton of money, so we aren't afraid to work. Our time is returned in dollars NOT spent in the first place, so return on investment is immedate and substantial.
Insurance Salvage Auctions!
With the number of Electric Vehicles (EVs) on the road, there are plenty of these newer, or brand new vehicles in auto wrecks...
The batteries are generally VERY well protected, they are FIRST QUALITY, fully certified for Amp/Hour (Ah) capacity cells, and are pretty simple to work with.
I have bought the wreck, salvaged the batteries and whatever I can use, put the motors, etc up for sale, and hauled the rest to the metal salvage yard for cash money.
The batteries have to be removed anyway before a recycled will take the vehicle, so you are just beating the battery resellers to the wreck.
A charge controller for the voltage, and amperage the battery, or cell pack needs is stand alone, so you can use what is cost effective and non-propritary.
Battery cases for your cell packs can be anything from dorm room fridges (insulated) to the big old copier base cabinets with wheels. They are everywhere and cheap.
Roll around job carts, tools & supplies with shelves, are cheap and makes your heavy batteries easily portable. They also come in non-conductive materials (fiber reinforced plastics).
You WILL have to learn about the cells/cell packs you get. What chemestry, what uppelower limit voltages are, what the charge rate is supposed to be. All this is on line from the cell manufacturer and several resellers/suppliers, so it's not hard to find.
You will find everything from bag cells, to brick cells, to the little flashlight looking cells welded into bundles. These are all GOLD in the bank to a DIY guy.
I personally prefer the largest brick cells (highest Ah ratings) I can locate. This is because Battery Managment Systems (BMS) are fairly cheap, and a proper BMS will manage each cell when wired in series without parallel connections to drive Ah rating up. (Each cell having protection appeals to me...)
Each manufacturer has their own cells, their own arrangement, and their own input (charge) and output voltages.
If the charge controller is intact, and something you can work with, that's a bonus. More companies are making converters that work directly from panels, so this is a very real, very low cost option for a VERY LARGE battery and the charger...
I've bought these cars for as little as $300 (USD), and I've never paid more than $2,800 for one. Compare the pre-made storage batteries at $10,000 & up for 10%-20% of the Ah, and you can quickly see how these cells/batteries make it very worth the time & effort to salvage them.

Hi! I guess I’m a survivor of the first quarter of 2023.
Did first quarter of 2023 turn out better or worse than my expectations? I have to say better. My predictions for the quarter were pretty dire. I performed better than my expectations. Just completed two months of living fully on savings—not sure how I did that.
It’ll be interesting to try set expectations for quarter two, after this.
It’s now six full years since the days of working at Ralph Lauren on Saturdays to pay for Georgetown. Overall, even being in a fight with my best friend and the way that feels, feels better than any given Saturday during Georgetown.
I’m looking forward to going home tonight. I’m not necessarily opposed to myself going home early if things hurt too much, but I’m doing a great job so far.

The number's area code is one from Seattle area. I drew over my friend's name in black, because I am not going to leak it. There are two messages total. "[1/2]my friends real full name This is scammer's name from the escort service you spoke to a few of my girls and all you did was waste their time like my business is a game real" and "[2/2] simple either you pay 3000 for this issue or we involve your family in a bad way call me to explain and work this out peacefully". The overall message doesn't give me any chills, its just the fact that the random number knew my friend's real full name. I looked up number in a few different ways. I also talked to a couple of other friends of mine to help figure out what is going on. They did their own separate research, and they came up with some different things. Can you help us out? is this something that my friends and I need to worry about, or is it just a scam? any and all help would be very appreciated.

I'm 19F and have two Australian Shepherd/Huskies. They're both as crazy as you'd imagine.
My first girl is 8 years old and a retired farm dog. She's very energetic for her age, honestly I wonder if she has some form of dog ADHD because she literally can't calm down sometimes. Inside she's fine, but when she's outdoors her mind is running a million miles per minute. I actually moved to an apartment a bit outside the city because I noticed the sounds and smells seemed to be overwhelming for her. She really does better the farther out she is but obviously I don't have the finances for a house yet and she'll likely be dead before I get one unless a miracle happens.
My second dog is 3 years old and EXTREMELY needy emotionally. All she wants to do is cuddle and be near me but honestly I'm not a cuddler. She hates being alone which is an issue because then I have to take both of them out at once which is a nightmare. This one pulls, the other freaks out over everything and also has Pica so tries to eat everything. Walking them both is very stressful and hard on my body.
I do regret getting the second but I don't really believe in rehoming, I would've made her the exception but with how emotionally fragile she is I wouldn't want to put her through that, as her original owner turned her and her sister into the shelter, then they got transported to another state, and put up for adoption separately so that's alot for her. And I don't know why the owner gave her to the shelter in the first place.
I don't have the finances for a doggy daycare right now as it's $650 a month for 2 days a week. Also I don't know if a daycare would take my older girl, since she's a farm dog she's an extreme herder. Never hurts other dogs but it's really the only thing she knows how to do play wise. We go to dog parks but obviously i understand from a business perspective there might be issues if an owner saw a dog herding at the daycare. So i need help with making a schedule so i dont feel like jumping off a bridge owning them.

Hi I’m Holiday, I recently started playing Fortnite again after quitting Fortnite for Apex. I’ve been enjoying Fortnite a ton but a lot of the friends I used to play this game with have moved on to different games. With that being said, I’m looking for more friends to play Fortnite with, I’m interested only in playing Zero Build though. Also since I live in a dorm I won’t be talking through voice chat ever since I don’t want to disrupt my dorm mates. A little bit about me is that I’m a University student studying Psychology and English entering my Senior year. This was something I’ve been contemplating for over a year now but I’ve finally decided to do it.
I’ve finally left the subreddit…for now at least.
Before I say why I left, allow me to explain how I joined in the first place and the events that lead me to become disillusioned with the subreddit.
And don’t get me wrong with what I’m about to say, there was a time I did genuinely enjoy being here and I’ve met some great and brilliant people here. I had fun here once.
It was around early 2021 where I first joined Reddit as a whole on my 18th Birthday. I was first aware of this subreddit a few months prior but I didn’t join until like a week or so after. I had previously been on the Death Battle Wiki forums and at times the Fanon Wiki, but I never felt like I truly made it as the posts I did wasn’t as noticed well (probably because I had even more cringe tastes than I do now or most people were just busy).
Anyways, it’s no secret I’m a fan of Power Rangers, I consider them better than Marvel or DC. Yet they only had 4 episodes in Death Battle and all of them were solely from the Mighty Morphin era, which has lead me to sympathise with Final Fantasy fans. Granted that era is more known in the mainstream consciousness but I believed that it had more potential for Death Battle ideas, but that was largely overlooked in the DBW, well at the time at least.
It also didn’t help that PR didn’t exactly have the best reputation in the VS Community, being treated like Demon Slayer is now due to their three previous losses (despite Jason beating Leonardo in the fourth and currently last one) and the three most popular MUs at that time were all thought to also be PR Ls (only one of them is still true to this day).
But then I made a post on Wes Collins from Time Force VS Weiss from RWBY, though the general idea originated from a thumbnail made by Simbiothero, one of my own personal heroes in the DB community, I noted and written down the full connections of the idea. And that took off and was well received here and I felt like I truly made it. Then I saw all sorts of PR as well as Kamen Rider idea, as well as some other fresh and awesome MUs going around, I thought that this subreddit had potential to create new and intriguing matchups that would rival and surpass those from the DBW.
But I knew I should have saw the signs…
It was also around that time a certain Transformers and Fate fan with a palette swapped Ragna on his PFP posted his video on why he didn’t like the at the time popular Frieza VS (G1) Megatron and it’s backlash blew up here, causing people (unfortunately myself included) to start hating the MU immediately preferring G1 Megatron VS Vilgax, a MU he liked more on the video.
However I agreed with the video not because of the subreddit, but out of understanding as I knew what it’s like to really like a series and it’s characters only for casuals to understandably but annoyingly misinterpret them. Though I do feel kind of bad for him as the video unintentionally caused a civil war in the community.
Then there was posts about fellow at the time popular MUs about why they didn’t like them, which included but not limited to; Vilgax VS Ridley, SpongeBob VS Chowder and, my preferred MU for both at the time, Kevin VS Satsuki, which caused those MUs to be hated by the whole subreddit, with Gojo VS Makima getting on that hate list later on.
Eventually, I joined Discord around late September of that year and one of the first servers I joined was the Death Battle Wiki Discord and I never really felt like fitted in there. It was there I realised that this subreddit doesn’t exactly have the best reputation outside of it and they viewed those who agreed with Nemesis’s video on FriezaTron without really forming their own opinion as “sheep”. I left that server shortly after but from that I’ve got a wake up call that maybe this subreddit wasn’t as good as i thought it be but I didn’t want to exactly leave it yet.
But I started to stop liking MUs like Megatron VS Vilgax and Ridley VS Vile because it just got tainted for me, and now I even started to distrust MUs that originated from here unless it took off outside of it just to be safe.
I still made posts but I no longer generally saw eye to eye with what was popular here. I’ve come to learn that, though many areas of the community has it mildly, this subreddit and areas of the DBW have it majorly, (well not the forums for the latter, majority of people on those are actually pretty chill), but if you don’t like a MU that’s popular there, you’re not gonna be winning any favours. That’s why I tend to join DB related Discord Servers unrelated to either as I feel they are more individual and more diverse in their tastes of MUs.
And then, there was joke MUs being taken unironically which was the final nail on this coffin.
I will admit, I initially took the likes of Bakugo VS Squidward (pre-Explosion in E Minor era) and Sora VS Lebron unironically (well mainly during Sora getting revealed in Smash and Grandbull’s trailer of it went so hard). But then I realised “yeah this isn’t worth it”. The worst of it happened after Explosion in E Minor, which though the song went so hard, people started to take it so unironically to the point that people deluded themselves into believing IT WAS LIKELY TO HAPPEN.
Which lead to Deku VS Mike from Monsters Inc. happened and it caused a frenzy to the point most of the big leagues of the subreddit started leaving.
And that’s not even going into stuff like Springtrap having so much matchups to the point he nearly got banned or the brief belief than Anne Boonchuy from Amphibia was multiversal.
This subreddit used to be a place people could make the next best ideas for future Death Battles to compete with the previous sites that did that, but it’s now become the result of a fusion dance between Twitter and the Death Battle Fanon Wiki. I missed the days where the most controversial thing in this subreddit was too many tokusatsu MUs.
And after all that, I’ve decided enough was enough and just leave. This is not the same subreddit I joined two years ago.
Thank you for once being great. I might join again if things improve but for now in the words of a certain Black and Red Hedgehog that killed his Waifu;

I have to go to Nepal for three months this summer for a project, and I've been stalking the AA award availability for Qatar to get there (flying SQ on the way back). It's been pretty slim pickings, and I had a very particular date of departure, but this morning, I was struck to check again to see the availability, and DFW-DOH-KTM in business was randomly available for the exact date I needed! One way retail $10K! Super excited to try QSuites and to not be entirely dead on arrival when I get to Nepal. This hobby continues to amaze.

I'm new to Canada, I contacted bell to setup 1.5G internet in my apartment and at first, I thought this was going to be a simple setup and i'm good to go. Here are the list of problems i've had so far.
If you are thinking about a bell service, run, its really bhell. Don't even bother with them.

- September to end of September = Bell tried to charge me for 4 modems even though my internet was never setup and I never had internet service. I didn't understand why I had 4 modems on a bill and bell's billing system is not intuitive to read. I called CS hotline about 3-4 times booking technicians and telling them to clear that off my bill since I don't have the bell internet at all. The technicians also weren't that great, they just... really don't want to do their job and just want to leave as fast as possible, give me any excuse to just leave and not do their jobs. At the time, I was really busy so after the 4th call and after the 3rd technician finally got something done, I just... thought 'its finally over' so I can just move on and just use my internet.
- October I found out my bill had a Fibe TV subscription attached to it. To this day, I have no idea what this is and I never asked for it, someone just decided to attach it onto my bill thinking that I would not check my bill. They quoted me a little bit above the internet price to account for the subscription WITHOUT TELLING ME WHAT THE FIBE TV SUBSCRIPTION WAS and I was not even told what the Fibe TV subscription is. Honestly, it was about... my 5th or 6th call with them and I was quite mad that this was happening because bell's communication and customer service has been.... lack luster and unprofessional. Just no follow ups and constantly requiring the customer to follow up on their issues that they impose on you for unexplained reasons.
- Had an outage in november that was unexplained, it was really random in the middle of the day just suddenly disconnected while I was on a call with a client. Luckily my system keeps the client on hold and I reconnected using my phone hot spot and then my call system reconnected me to the client (i'm an investment representative in canada, I take trades). But this outage lasted the whole day and then late at night it came back up. I called Bell, they said they have no issues and sometimes there can be outages and no explanation. I thought this was odd because I used to live in Hong Kong, and my internet only goes offline if there's a reason like a power outage or a major typhoon. Bell didn't give me a reason and I really didn't want to be on the phone with them and they weren't going to follow up on anything so I didn't press for the reason since they weren't really interested in telling me the reason.
- I moved to markham and decided to upgrade my bell internet to 3 gigabit because I rescently upgraded my desktop and I have 2.5gb ethernet and I can use it for work which was perfect for me. However... Here comes the issue. The speed is not qutie there, sometimes its 1.5 sometimes 2 sometimes less than 1gb. Then later on, I had a disconnection issue in march in the middle of the day at 12:00 and came back online around mid night. I'm pretty mad about this because reliability has been spotty and now I get a disconnect. > I called the technicians asap to figure out what's the issue and they detected there's an service disconnecting with my modem and they can't figure out why. The best they could do is send a technician the next day who... really really didnt' want to do this job. He didn't want to do investigation, he didn't want to diagnose, he just came, plugged his meter in to see something is coming through, then that's it, his job is considered done. No reason as to why my internet went out and then came back online 12 hours later at mid night. > I called customer service/billing to complain and they don't want to do their jobs either. The first thing I told the CS rep was my experience so far and why was my internet out, and all they did was ask how long was your internet out, we can rebate the diff. (THAT"S NOT WHAT I:M asking, like the disconnections none of it is explainable, even the bell technicians either don't know or don't care. I'm leaning towrads don't care). Then I was transferred to a senior CS rep who just wanted to talk over me to justify the disconnection. She insisted no follow ups, was not listening to problems I was having. She basically just wants to be a dumny for someone to complain to, do nothing about it, offer nothing, no solutions, nothing, never once indicated that she wanted to do her CS job at all. Then what's the point of having a CS department?
- After every single call, they will insist on asking me what my phone number is and notice 'oh hey its not with bell', and then offer me a discount subscription or a phone. After each and every single problem with their serivce, they will try to sell you ... ANOTHER service or phone.... Like pick a better timing for christ sake.
If you are thinking about a bell service, run, its really bhell. Don't even bother with them.
