A pair of leaks have turned up on 4Chan that claim to outline details of Rockstar's forthcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the franchise would do well to take these rumors with a grain of salt as there's no way to know for sure if any of these details are accurate. The leaker on 4Chan goes by Rhanadeng and claims to have been a friend of a disgruntled employee working on the game during 2019.
The source claims that this employee allegedly asked him to anonymously leak information about GTA 6. However, things later improved, and he lost contact with the Rockstar team member. One key detail is that this person also claims the game has been in active development since 2016 or 2017, with pre-production starting shortly after GTA V was ported to current generation consoles in 2014. The new GTA VI game world map is also claimed to be the size of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined.
gta v mission One of the odder bits that this 4Chan user details is a minigame where players control a stream of urine from a protagonist using motion controls. On the protagonist front, there are said to be four in the game, including a driver called Walther Wallace and an unnamed former Israeli IDF person. Another, Thomas Branigan, is a smuggler who owns an aircraft called the Raven, and Marcus Burke is a drug dealer and father to a young boy.
The area is said to be based in Florida, with Vice City among the three major cities with one smaller city in the far northwest of the map. The game reportedly jumps around in time with part of the timeline set in the 1980s and other parts set in the present day. Missions aren't as linear as they are in GTA V or RDR2, notes the proclaimed leaker. Players will briefly visit a small central American island, but it's reportedly not Guarma. The game starts with gamers playing the role of smuggler, Branigan.
gta v car Supposedly there are multiple child characters in the game that mainly interact with Burke and his son. Switching between the protagonists isn't said to be instantaneous, but the camera reportedly zooms out and travels quickly to where the protagonist the player wants to play is located. Sleeping Dogs-inspired parkour is involved in the game as well, but to a lesser extent without wall running. The leaker claims that weapons function more realistically in the game than they have in past titles. An example noted is rocket launcher back blast that ends up taking out an NPC in one of the missions, where the goal is to destroy a helicopter.
Hand-to-hand combat is supported and is said to be similar to Red Dead 2, with the leaker noting it's harder to fight hand-to-hand GTA VI than in GTA V. Player characters can also gain weight in the game, and it affects character attributes as it did in RDR2. Mori Kibbutz is also reportedly in the game, but not much else is detailed about his character.
This leak isn't the first that has surfaced about GTA 6. Last December, a user on reddit claiming to be a beta tester, leaked a bunch of alleged details of the game. In January, another leak claimed that the game would launch in 2021.

Did you imagine when Grand Theft Auto V came out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013, that we'd be seeing a fresh retail re-release of it nine years later? Much like The Elder Scrolls Part V: Skyrim—which hails from the same era—GTA V has been an enduring success and is about to get its third re-release.
There's no fancy subtitle or name change; Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series XS consoles on March 15th. That's not to say it's exactly the same experience, though. The versions for the current-gen consoles support 60 FPS, HDR output, ray-tracing, "improved texture quality," faster loading times, "immersive 3D audio," and support for platform-specific features, like the PS5's DualSense haptics.
gtaonline carwash Specifically, there will be a fidelity mode that targets native 3840×2160 resolution with ray tracing and a 30 FPS cap. (Xbox Series S will use upscaling to hit 4K.) Before you sneer at that, note that console versions of GTA V have always had a 30 FPS cap—until now: the new release's "performance mode" will target 60 FPS with dynamic resolution scaling up to 4K, but without ray tracing.
Most interesting to the majority of gamers will probably be the "Performance RT" mode. This mode, available only on the PS5 and Series X, is basically just performance mode with ray tracing enabled. Most likely, it will simply use a lower dynamic resolution to achieve higher-than-30 FPS while keeping ray tracing features. Depending on the upscaling method Rockstar uses, this mode could still look quite good.
Of course, the whole reason that Grand Theft Auto V is still the sensation that it is lies in its online mode. Rockstar has always talked about Grand Theft Auto Online as if it were an entirely separate game, and that's understandable given the differences in their content. But after the re-release launches, it will in fact be available as an entirely separate game—and it'll be free for the first three months after launch on PS5.
gtaonline fukaru The technical changes to Grand Theft Auto V largely apply here, although there's probably still not going to be any animals in Online. Instead, Rockstar is implementing several content updates for the re-launch. The Los Santos Car Meet expansion is getting an expansion of its own called Hao's Special Works, and a "Career Builder" feature will be available for fresh characters to help them get a foothold in Los Santos' seedy underbelly.
If you're already an accomplished crime boss in GTA V or GTA Online using an older console version, you can transfer your progress to the new systems. For story mode, open the game and go to "Game" in the pause menu, then select "Upload Save Game" to send it to the Rockstar Social Club cloud servers. GTA Online progress will transfer automatically, although Rockstar cautions players that purchased GTA$ won't transfer across platforms (i.e. PlayStation to Xbox, or vice versa.)
You'll be able to start playing the remastered version of GTA V on March 15, with physical copies coming available In April. We asked Rockstar when these changes would be coming to the PC version, but haven't heard back yet. We'll update this story when we do.

Hi, i've been thinking about getting a menu and I found Stand Regular. It's at the top of what I'm willing to pay but seems worth the money.
But I wanted to ask a few things from people who have some experience modding:
1.Is that a good choice? I don't need some options, mostly just making money(from missions, not by adding artificially) crash protections, teleport and other quality of life changes, i wouldn't be needing any griefing tools or anything that interferes with other players.
2.I understand it's an internal menu, running as part of the game. How can it avoid detection by Rockstar Launcher checking the game files? Won't it get me banned for just being there?
3.Is the site I'm looking at, stand.gg, legit?
4.Is there a way to see when a Rockstar employee is spectating me? As far as I know you can get banned by auto detection of cheated money/cars, by getting reported for cheating in a public session, or by an admin who decides to take a look at what you're doing and witnesses you cheating. Can the menu prevent or warn me about the last one?
5.Are menus like Stand fun to use for someone not amused by griefing and aimbotting? As in, are there some fun things to do not designed to ruin the fun of others?
Sorry if the questions are dumb, but I've only ever used Menyoo for singleplayer and Modest Menu before for a while so I don't know much about mods, and I don't want to waste money by rushing it. Any answers and opinions are appreciated, thanks!

A newly discovered patent by Take-Two Interactive hints that Grand Theft Auto VI will have smarter non-playable characters (NPCs), which has our minds swirling with possibilities. Rather than following programmed directives, NPCs that leverage advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities could potentially feel like more life-like, in the decisions they make in the game.
We might be getting ahead of ourselves a bit—we have no idea what exactly Take-Two and its Rockstar Games subsidiary have planned for the next GTA installment, and to be clear, GTA VI has not been announced—but we would certainly welcome smarter NPCs. Not just for the GTA series, but for gaming in general.
The patent (listed as 16/393365) was filed in October of last year, by inventors David Hynd and Simon Parr. According to their LinkedIn profiles, both work for Rockstar Games—Hynd is the associate director of technology and technical director of AI and gameplay, while Parr is the lead AI and gameplay programmer. So even though Take-Two Interactive owns the patent, it seems the technology is destined for a Rocktar Games title.
"Computer games often provide 3D worlds in which the game unfolds. Such games often include non-player characters (NPCs) that exist in the game's 3D world and who interact with the human players, the 3D environment and other NPCs. These NPCs can be programmed in an artificial intelligence manor such that their actions in the game are driven, at least in part, by real-time decisions made by the NPC algorithm regarding the current state of the game and the environment," the patent explains.
It goes on to state that this type of interaction is driven by a collection of nodes and edges (vehicles and links), and that "conventional systems only provide limited resources" for developers. As it applies to the GTA franchises, this is likely why NPCs all seem to drive and navigate the world in the same manner, with only visual cues distinguishing them from one another.
"Since currently-available multiplayer gaming systems are deficient because they cannot provide realistic movements for non-player objects in a virtual world without increasing computational resources and/or restricting game development/design, a system for managing nodes and node graphs relating to non-player characters that provides virtual navigation and management can prove desirable and provide a basis for a wide range of network applications, such as creating a realistic virtual world that is not limited by hardware and software limitations," the patent states.
Part of the patent involves tapping into the cloud to overcome local hardware capabilities, for advanced AI processing. And from our reading, it sounds like the patent would result in NPCs have more individualized personalities, at least with regards to traveling about.
We'll have to wait and see what develops, and hopefully Rockstar Games sees fit to announce a new GTA game soon.

It seems like we have been hearing rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 since the beginning of time, though in reality, it has only been almost that long. If you were hoping for some clarity with a release finally being around the bend, well, brace yourself—we could be in for several more years of rumors, not just weeks or even months.
Naturally, the folks at Rockstar Games are not offering up any juicy tidbits about the inevitable release. So everything we know, or think we know, has come by way of leaks and rumors. To that end, multiple leakers are reporting that GTA 6 might not come out until 2024 or even sometime 2025. As things stand right now, YouTuber Tom Henderson says the next version of GTA is very early in development.
Henderson notes that, historically, he has not been associated with GTA leaks (he's been more plugged into the Battlefield scene), but the information he shared in a YouTube video is based on what he has heard from multiple sources. He is not the only one that is hearing GTA 6 is still several years away from being released, either.

Given the success of GTA Online, it seems Rockstar Games might not be in a rush to push out another major release. At the same time, it's said the developer is focusing "very heavily on employee well being," which in part means avoiding the crunch that precedes a game's release. However, there is at least one other factor at play as well.
It's said GTA 6 will launch on PC and the latest generation game consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S). By taking its time in releasing GTA 6, Rockstar Games will have a much wider audience of compatible console owners to drum up sales. And while not mentioned, the same could be true in the PC space, as hopefully discrete GPUs will be plentiful again by the the time GTA 6 arrives.
As for the setting, Henderson says GTA 6 will in fact mark a return to Vice City. Rockstar Games may opt to add more locations to the map over time (post launch), but it looks like a modern take on Vice City is headed to the GTA universe.
Given how much we had playing Grand Theft Auto V when it came to PC several years ago (and still holds up today), we're excited to see what GTA 6 brings to the table, even if it means waiting another 3-4 years.

Per the post from Blizzard, tanks have been getting roughly double the value from dodge rating on gear and activated items. If you hover over your dodge chance in your character pane, it'll tell you how much dodge chance that your rating grants you before diminishing returns. That number is the amount of dodge you will effectively lose as of Tuesday.
I don't think most people understand how impactful that change is going to be, or how unequally it will affect tanks. Here's a breakdown comparing druids and death knights:
Druid
Their balanced BiS mitigation set has about 44 dodge rating on it. That's almost nothing. Druids will lose a tiny amount of dodge as of this change.
Death Knight
BiS Tank set has 415 dodge rating, but that number is misleading. The sigil of deflection adds an additional 144 dodge rating basically at all times. So DKs actually have 559 dodge rating while tanking, if using BiS. And standard gear setups are usually pretty close to that amount of dodge rating for most DK tanks. That translates to about 12% dodge before diminishing returns.
As you can see, this is going to hurt DKs quite a bit more than druids. But 12% less mitigation isn't that bad, right?
That doesn't mean 12% more damage.
It's a lot more than it sounds like.
Death Knights currently have very high avoidance, due in large part to the dodge bug. The Ulduar we have was tuned to what tanks could handle before this change. After this change, all tanks are going to be taking more damage, but DK tanks are hurt worst of all. DK tanks are currently avoiding around 75% of all incoming auto attacks, meaning only about 25% of attacks hit them (roughly, depends on the fight and the DK).
After this change, total attacks taken by the DK is going to jump from 25% to around 37%. That represents almost 50% more damage taken from attacks.
This is going to royally suck on fights like XT and General. Prepare for that if you use a DK tank. Druids and warriors rejoice because your stonks just went up. Warriors are likely to be favored for Algalon going forward since his damage per hit is going down, amplifying the benefit of blocking his attacks.
Going forward
I fully expect there's going to be some tweaking to Uld once blizzard realizes just how big of a change this is. In future phases, assuming this bug fix goes in and nothing else changes, druid and warrior tanks are likely to see more use than they currently do and DKs less once people see just how much this ends up hurting DKs in comparison.

Various pieces of Grand Theft Auto 6 news has been circulating lately, with a variety of leaks and information hitting the web. For example, just yesterday we learned that famed rapper 50 Cent might play a role in the next -- as yet unannounced -- installment of the GTA series. However, fans are growing tired of waiting and have begun to come up with thier own GTA 6 content to tide themselves over.
Posted to YouTube earlier this week, creator TeaserPlay envisioned the Grand Theft Auto 6 world in Unreal Engine 5. Based on prior leaks and information about the game, the technical or concept demo shows a part of what could be Vice City, as we follow a female character walking and driving around. You can check out the full demo below. It is pretty slick looking save for a few minor things.

Interestingly, this is not the first time we have seen fan content for GTA 6, but it is one of the more recent and diverse creations. In any event, fans seem to be chomping at the bit for new GTA news, but Rockstar is keeping its cards close to the vest. Sadly, this is likely due in part to the leaks that happened in 2022, whereafter Rockstar seemed to hold onto any information in an effort to control the narrative around the game. Despite this, there still have been numerous leaks showing off new characters, a bit of the game world, and some of the tech for making GTA 6.
At the end of the day, we hope it won’t be too long before we get some official GTA 6 news, as there has been speculation of a 2024 or 2025 launch. Realistically, that is not all that far off anymore, so stay tuned as we keep our eyes peeled for any new GTA 6 announcements or information.

Il y’a trois semaines, celle qui était devenue la personne la plus importante de ma vie s’est pendue.
Je vais vous raconter notre histoire.
Oui, vous êtes prévenus dès le début, ce n’est pas une histoire qui se termine bien.
Néanmoins, plusieurs détails importants avant de commencer :
Déjà, vu la longueur du truc, je doute que beaucoup aillent jusqu’au bout. Mais je fais avant tout ça pour moi et graver notre histoire quelque part. Et comme ceux qui vont se plonger dans le récit le découvriront par la suite, Reddit est tout à fait approprié pour ça.
Deuxièmement, ce texte à initialement été écrit à la demande de ma « meilleure amie d’adolescence qui vit désormais aux Etats-Unis et avec qui j’ai trop peu de contacts, bien qu'ils soient à chaque fois pertinents. »
On en a tous une comme ça.
C’est important à préciser pour comprendre la forme du récit : dans celui-ci, je m’adresse à une amie qui m’a demandé de lui raconter toute l’histoire depuis le début.
Si je voulais vraiment faire un truc ultra méta, je pourrais même rajouter ses remarques au fil des blocs de texte que je lui ai envoyés au cours des deux derniers jours… mais non, faut pas exagérer non plus.
Troisièmement, je me mets totalement à nu dans ce texte. J’expose mes vulnérabilités, mes défauts, mes rêves, mes aspirations et qui je suis en profondeur. Soyez indulgents avec moi. Certes, je me prétends sincèrement auteur, je n’en gagne pas forcément ma vie mais j’essaie... Ceci-dit, je n’ai pas essayé de faire de la grande prose dans ce texte, c’est écrit spontanément, avec les tripes. Soyez indulgents à ce niveau-là aussi.

Je l'ai plusieurs fois racontée à l'oral... quoique jamais en entier comme je vais sans doute le faire à présent parce qu'il faut vraiment que je remonte au tout début pour que tu comprennes... mais ça va être la première fois à l'écrit.
Je sais pas trop ce que ça va donner… on va bien voir.



Chapitre 1 – La Rencontre.
J'ai rencontré M. en août 2020.
A un barbeuc chez un pote en commun.
À cette époque, avec un petit groupe de potes (dont cet ami en commun faisait partie), on organisait une microteuf/gros calage pour une petite trentaine de personnes au bord d'une rivière, toute la nuit, avec du gros son, des lights et… de quoi s’amuser.
Ce barbeuc était entre autres l'occasion de finaliser l'organisation vu que la soirée allait avoir lieu dans deux jours.
C'est donc là que mes yeux se sont posés sur elle.
Et oui, je dois reconnaître que ça a été le coup de foudre... ou au moins le gros crush immédiat.
Il va bien falloir la présenter au bout d’un moment ? Comment faire ça ?
Allez, autant te la décrire dans les grandes lignes dès maintenant. Les détails s'ajouteront organiquement au fil de la narration... ou pas, j'en sais rien, on verra.

M... ma petite supernova d'amour de mes couilles que je déteste presque autant que je l'aime...
Bordel, comment la décrire ?
Elle avait 29 ans au moment de son départ. Pratiquement 27 lorsque je l'ai rencontrée.
Je sais, c'est on ne peut plus attendu de la part d'un mec amoureux, mais ce qui frappe le plus chez elle, c'est son énergie... c'était une boule de vie et d'hyperactivité contagieuse...
… dans ses bons jours.
Parce qu'elle était bipolaire et alternait entre phases d'humeur extrêmes : de cette pipelette incapable de s'arrêter de parler, l'âme de la soirée, à des phases d'intenses dépression, de silence et, en effet, de pulsions suicidaires.
Mais là, je te spoile un peu, tout ça je ne le savais pas à l'époque et autant que tu la découvres en même temps que moi.
Et pour être honnête, je l'ai très peu connue dans ses phases dépressives... elle le disait elle-même, elle était bien quand elle était avec moi. J'étais son roc, son océan...
(Ah, petite parenthèse pour vous qui lisez ça sur Reddit… mon prénom veut dire « eau » en berbère, et c’est devenu au fil des ans une private joke avec les potes… j’en joue beaucoup et je dois admettre que la symbolique de l’eau me correspond beaucoup… et puis j’aime nager et je suis Poisson… ouais, je cumule… Bref…)
Et même si elle présentait souvent un masque au monde, je pense pouvoir affirmer avec certitude que lorsqu'elle était avec moi, j'avais droit à la vraie M.
Mais encore une fois, je m'avance un peu trop dans le récit...
A ce premier barbeuc, lorsqu'on s'est rencontrés, j'étais loin de savoir tout ça d'elle.
Au-delà de son énergie et de sa voix, ce que j'ai appris d'elle ce soir-là c'est qu'elle était interne en médecine, spécialisée en radiologie, mais qu'elle avait aussi un master en psychiatrie et qu'elle écrivait une thèse sur un traitement pour la prostate.
Mais aussi qu'elle était danseuse classique, qu'elle adorait la montagne et l'alpinisme et qu'elle avait tenté de faire le Mont Blanc à plusieurs reprises.
Puis, au détour d'une conversation "Ah, et j'ai publié un livre d'anticipation il y'a quelques mois."
Ah ouais, d'accord, rien que ça... Tu peux imaginer comment l’écrivain fan de SF en moi à réagit à une pareille annonce.
Bon, c'était chez une toute petite maison d'édition et elle n'a pas dû vendre plus d'une dizaine d'exemplaires mais quand même...
Oui, car c'était aussi une grande littéraire.
L'un des autres sujets sur lesquels on a beaucoup sympathisé dans les mois qui ont suivi, c'était les étoiles, rêver à l'immensité de l'univers ou à la conquête spatiale. C'étaient des thèmes qui nous fascinaient tous les deux et nos conversations ensemble dérivaient souvent vers des visions de l'avenir.
Mais au fond, elle était très sombre sa vision de l'avenir.
Son roman est un roman d'anticipation qui se déroule dans quelques dizaines d'années, et le futur qu'elle y dépeint est particulièrement pessimiste... je peux comprendre que, d’une certaine manière, elle ne voulait pas vivre dans un monde pareil si c'est comme ça qu'elle voyait l’avenir.
Tiens, d’ailleurs… avec une de mes meilleures potes, qui était aussi très proche d'elle, on rêve d'adapter son livre en film un jour. Appelons celle-ci W. car elle réapparaitra dans le récit.
Mais bref... revenons-en et concluons-en avec ce barbeuc.
La soirée s'est passée, bon feeling, bon gros crush de ma part, si ce n’est déjà bien plus, et il était question qu'elle vienne à cette fameuse petite teuf à la rivière deux jours plus tard, mais elle n'était pas sûre de pouvoir avec le boulot...
Let's flashforward a bit.
C’est le jour de la teuf. Moi et plusieurs potes passons la journée à la rivière. Finalement on pose le matos, on commence à s'enjailler et dans l'aprèm, elle finit par débarquer...
Trop cool, j'étais grave refait...
Et ça a été une putain de nuit...
Pour la petite anecdote, ma photo de profil actuelle a été prise le lendemain de cette soirée, alors que nous avions fait nuit blanche à taper du pied, discuter et délirer toute la nuit... et bien sûr nous n'étions absolument pas sobres... et je parle pas forcément d'alcool.
Est-ce que je m'étends plus longtemps sur cette nuit ?
Ouais… vite-fait quand même.
M. et moi avons continuer de grave sympathiser, le feeling était vraiment insane entre nous, c'était indéniable... Mais... mais... j'ai aussi appris qu'une petite dizaine de jours plus tôt à peine, elle avait rencontré un mec sur Tinder avec qui ça se passait super bien...
Et merde...
Mais rien à foutre, j'étais trop bien avec cette nana, elle m'a fait rêver et tourner la tête comme pas possible cette nuit-là... et on a bien évidemment gardé contact.



Chapitre 2 : La Chute.
La Chute qui dure deux ans.
Août 2020 - Juin 2022.
La partie la plus cheesy et la plus attendue du récit, l'histoire universelle d'un gars qui tombe amoureux... et réciproquement, même si... shh, spoilers.
Il ne s'est jamais vraiment passé grand-chose de purement physique entre nous. Oh, il y'a eu les quelques papouilles, les bisous furtifs volés çà et là, les gros câlins silencieux, les longs échanges de regard, les flirts et torpilles à double-sens, les non-dits et les "est-ce que ?", les tensions et les passions...
Mais D., son chéri était là, et même si je les ai rarement vus ensemble (il n'était jamais vraiment là lorsqu’on se voyait), son ombre planait. Les choses n'ont jamais pu se concrétiser... et la tension grandissait...
Il y'a quand même eux deux reprises où c'est pas passé loin... où ça a été du (et je paraphrase à peine) : "Euuuh, je crois que je viens de redevenir célibataire, tu veux pas venir dormir chez moi ce soir ?"
Pour la deuxième, ça n'a pas pu se faire car la mère de D. est décédée dans la journée... pas le meilleur timing, oui, en effet... et cet évènement, survenu au printemps dernier, à une certaine importance pour la suite...
Bref, pour faire simple, pendant deux ans, ça a été la chute amoureuse absolue.
On se voyait assez régulièrement, on échangeait énormément de messages, et lorsqu'on discutait, c'était le feu.
J'étais trop bien avec elle... et elle aussi, et ce n'est pas quelque chose dont j'ai à me convaincre, elle le verbalisait et sa mère m'a encore reconfirmé qu'elle parlait tellement de moi... mais, encore une fois, n'allons pas trop vite.
D. et moi avons pratiquement le même anniversaire (23 et 24 février) et elle nous appelait les deux hommes de sa vie, ses deux Poissons avec qui elle s'entendait trop bien et qui la rendaient heureuse.
Lui, grand randonneur et alpiniste faisait écho à la facette sportive de sa personnalité, à son amour de la montagne. Ils ont essayé de faire le Mont Blanc ensemble même s'ils n'ont pas atteint le sommet (si j’ai bien compris).
Et moi c'était la littérature, les étoiles, l'écriture, l'avenir... mais aussi le lâcher-prise, la fête, la danse et la légèreté, contrairement à D. qui est un gars assez rigide.
Et puis elle voulait me faire traduire son roman en anglais pour l'envoyer à Ridley Scott qui est apparemment propriétaire d’un vignoble voisin des parents de D.... mais ça ne s'est jamais fait, au final...
Je suis d'ailleurs assez triste de n’avoir jamais réellement discuté de son bouquin avec elle, à part vite fait ça et là... mais dedans, elle dépeint une vision très sombre de l'avenir d’ici quelques dizaines d'années... Sécheresse, guerres bactériologiques, mafias et gouvernements exploitant des vagues de migrants à leurs propres fins, corruption... un bon gros monde pré-apocalyptique... qui se termine par un voyage à l'arrache sur Mars qui détruit complètement sa personnage principale : une jeune médecin s'étant retrouvé embarquée dans tout un engrenage industriel dans la course à Mars entre institutions moribondes... de fil en aiguille, la nana se retrouve malgré elle mascotte de l'expédition et est physiquement et mentalement complètement ravagée à son retour...
Ouais, joyeux tout ça...
Oh, je pourrais partager beaucoup de petits détails pour meubler le récit…
Tiens, je peux mentionner la lampe de chevet pétaradante et aveuglante (toute à son image) qu'elle m'a offert pour mon annif de 2021 et dont je me sers malheureusement très peu.
Puis en 2022, ça a été une bande-dessinée d'anticipation "Le Dernier Livre" que je n'ai toujours pas lue... oui, aussi surprenant que cela puisse paraître... et maintenant je me la garde pour le bon jour, ce sera probablement une lecture très cathartique lorsque je serais prêt.
Important à mentionner aussi, mais j’ai bossé pour sa mère. Celle-ci héberge chez elle des personnes en fin de vie et elle devait s’absenter une journée pour amener son plus jeune fils (le frère de M. donc), à un tournoi de boxe. Elle m’avait donc engagé pour la journée.Journée que j’ai donc passé dans sa maison d’enfance, sa chambre, les photos d’elle sur les murs… et ça je crois que je suis l’une des très rares personnes à y avoir eu accès.
Et en plus de ça, je me suis super bien entendu avec sa mère.
Bref... je ne vais pas non plus lister toutes nos interactions. Certaines ne sont qu’à nous.
Au final, il suffit de dire que pendant ces deux ans, ça a été le feu entre nous. Spirituellement, intellectuellement, émotionnellement, créativement... mais non, jamais physiquement... quoique, on a eu nos moments intenses, allongés toutes les deux côte-à-côte, à balle de gaz hilarant (son petit kiff perso), à échanger de longs regards par exemple... un exemple parmi beaucoup d'autres...
Et puis elle me disait que physiquement, j'étais beaucoup plus son genre que D.
Elle m'a une fois balancé un : "Eh, moi je suis avec un gringalet plus petit que moi alors que mon genre de mec, c'est plutôt Jason Momoa et les mecs plus en chair comme toi."
Mais, encore et toujours, l'ombre de D. planait sur nous et les choses en sont restées là.
Tiens, au passage, je peux aussi mentionner que c'est elle qui m'a trouvé mon job d'été en 2022, une petite annonce qu'elle m'a fait passer, et elle avait très bien vu... elle me connaissait tellement bien...
Anyways… nous arrivons tranquillement à Juin 2022... l'été dernier...
Elle s'apprêtait à avoir un mois très chargé.
Dans un premier temps, elle devait passer trois jours à New-York pour présenter une série d'articles sur lesquels elle avait bossés à un symposium de médecine... Oui, je t'ai dit que c'était une putain de supernova en termes de brillance ?
On a d'ailleurs un peu bossé sur son anglais ensemble pour le symposium, mais ça aussi ça ne s'est pas vraiment fait... et je réalise maintenant que c'était aussi parce qu'à cette période, elle savait très bien que si elle passait du temps vraiment seule avec moi, les choses franchiraient un pas et elle ne pouvait pas faire ça à Damien.
Elle était loyale, et il souffrait de la perte de sa mère, elle tenait à être là pour lui...
Et en parlant de lui...
Suite à ses trois jours à New-York, elle allait s'envoler pour la Norvège, y rejoindre D. et passer trois semaines à randonner avec lui à travers le pays.
Je l'ai vue les deux jours d'affilée avant son départ pour New-York.
Le première aprèm, je lui ai offert un bouquin. Un bouquin de SF que j'ai adoré et que j’essaie de faire lire à tout le monde... Et ici je peux mentionner son "Oh, mais tu sais que m'offrir un livre c'est l'un des chemins les plus rapides vers mon cœur, Aman."
Le lendemain, on a pris un rapide café à la gare, avant qu'elle ne prenne le train (pour Paris et l'avion qui l'amènerait à NY) et là on a surtout discuté du projet de websérie que j'ai avec un de mes groupes d'amis.
Ça a évolué depuis mais il s'agissait à l'époque d'une histoire se déroulant dans un hôpital psychiatrique bien shtarbé et avec un gros twist SF vers la fin... et vu son master en psychiatrie et ses connaissances sur le sujet, on en discutait pas mal ensemble et on tenait vraiment à l'avoir en tant que consultante sur le scénario.
Enfin bref... je l'ai accompagnée sur le quai, j'ai porté son sac jusqu'à son siège, et on s'est fait un câlin d'au-revoir un peu précipité avant que les portes ne se referment.
Et elle est partie pour New-York.
Vu comment les choses ont évolué par la suite, on n’a malheureusement pas vraiment eu l'occasion de discuter de sa performance là-bas mais je sais qu'elle a été brillante et qu'elle leur en a mis plein la vue, c'est évident.
Puis après ses trois jours à New-York, direction la Norvège et D. pendant trois semaines.
Tu peux d'ailleurs voir les photos de leur treck sur son Insta ou sa page Facebook... Je t'envoie d'ailleurs le lien de celle-ci, son Insta et son FB auront de l'importance pour le prochain chapitre. (Mais pas pour toi Reddit… Ou MP).
Elle était donc là, à vivre sa rando de rêve avec son chéri pendant que moi j'observais ça à bader "seul" chez moi...
Jusqu'à tout récemment, je t'aurais même dit que la première semaine de son voyage en Norvège a été la semaine la plus difficile de ma vie... j'étais pas bien... je me suis mis à marcher des heures en plein cagnard, j'ai pété jusqu'à un lac à l'autre bout de la ville pour y piquer une tête, j'ai tombé deux bouteilles de rhum dans la semaine, fumé comme un pompier...
Bref... pas bien quoi...
Et au terme de sa première semaine en Norvège, je n'ai plus été capable de résister... il fallait que ça sorte...
La longue tirade enflammée à fusé... la déclaration claire, belle et n'offrant aucun retour en arrière, coupant court à toutes les ambiguïtés et les non-dits.
Et on va clore le chapitre là-dessus car à présent nous entamons une nouvelle étape du récit.



Chapitre 3 : La Déclaration.
À partir de là, va falloir s'accrocher, ça va commencer à devenir... bordélique...
Si je le pouvais, je t'enverrai des copiers/collers de ma conversation avec elle... mais comme tu le découvriras par la suite, j'ai tout supprimé sur un coup de tête en novembre, et je n'ai plus accès qu'à nos derniers échanges... Oui, c'est quelque chose que je regrette énormément, mais j'ai demandé à sa mère d'accéder à son téléphone ou son ordi prochainement, pour essayer de récupérer tout ça, parce qu’il y’a des choses précieuses là-dedans qui seraient perdues à jamais autrement.
Enfin bref...
Revenons-en à son trip en Norvège pendant que moi je badais salement à la voir vivre sa meilleure vie depuis chez moi...
Suite à ma déclaration, pendant les deux semaines qui lui restaient en Norvège, on a eu quelques brefs échanges mais pas plus que ça.
Je lui ai dit de profiter à fond et de ne pas s'occuper de moi, que maintenant que c'était sorti ça allait mieux, qu'on parlerait à l'occase, que tout irait bien... ce genre de choses quoi... Elle m’a entre autres dit qu’elle m’avait acheté un cadeau, mais elle n’a jamais eu l’occasion de me l’offrir celui-là, il doit toujours trainer dans ses affaires…
Puis la mi-juin est arrivée et elle est rentrée chez elle.
Et c'est là que nous avons eu plusieurs échanges par message qui s'avéreront clés pour la suite et que je vais tenter de te retranscrire / paraphraser.
Elle : "Hey, y'a moyen qu'on se voit ?"
Moi : "Si c'est ce que tu veux, mais moi j'ai besoin d'une réponse… ou de son contraire... il faut que tu me dises une chose, ou son inverse, mais qu'on mette çà au clair."
Elle : "Je pense que je comprends. Mais il faut que tu comprennes qu'avec D., on parle déjà de bébés et d'acheter une maison. Mais tu es mon ami le plus précieux et je veux continuer de vivre des moments émotionnels et intellectuels forts avec toi."
Suite à quoi je suis parti dans une nouvelle longue tirade enflammée. Peut-être la plus importante de toutes et celle que j'aimerais beaucoup retrouver et relire un jour.
Je lui ai dit que je ne la croyais pas (en listant plusieurs de tous ces moments intenses qu'on avait vécus ensemble), qu'elle ne trouverait personne d'autre qui lui écrirait les mots que je lui écrivais et tout un tas de conneries du genre.
Bon, non, en vrai je fais style, mais c'était une très belle tirade. Oui, je me jette des fleurs mais putain qu'elle était écrite avec les tripes, sans réfléchir, bouillonnant de passion à en crever. Et je sais que j'ai tiré droit dans son cœur avec mes mots. Je le sentais déjà à l'époque mais maintenant, je n'ai plus de doutes.
Et il y'a un passage que je pense clé dans cette diatribe, et même si je n'ai plus accès à la conversation, je me souviens exactement (ou presque...) de mes mots, alors autant les citer directement :
"Bon courage pour trouver quelqu'un qui t'enverra des tirades aussi enflammées que moi.
Eh, au moins on continue de faire vivre le genre épistolaire, c'est malheureusement un style en perdition.
Bouyaaah, c'est qui le Choderlos de Laclos des temps modernes ?"
Et ça... ces paroles là... eh bah je pense qu'elle les a pris au mot et en plein cœur, comme la suite de notre relation te le prouvera...
Ahlalala...
Toute cette tirade s'est achevée par un (et là je sais que je me souviens des mots exacts) :
"Bon, en vrai là je fais le pitre, mais ce serait bien qu'on se voit un de ces jours, je pense qu'une petite conversation pourrait apaiser beaucoup de choses."
Elle : "Je préfère que l'on prenne nos distances pendant un moment."
Moi :"Je comprends. Je pense qu'une petite conversation de vive voix aurait vraiment pu apaiser les choses mais vu mon comportement, je ne peux pas te reprocher ça. Bonne continuation."
Et ça s'est arrêté là... pour l'instant... et a première vue...
Car quelques jours plus tard, elle publiait ceci sur FB et Insta :

Exactement les mots que j'avais besoin d'entendre et qui auraient apaisé les choses... Elle lisait tellement bien en moi... c’était ça que j’avais besoin d’entendre : que oui, il y'avait ne serait-ce qu'une petite étincelle pour moi mais que dans cette vie, c'était D. qu'elle choisissait...
Et pendant des mois, et elle le savait, tout ce dont j'avais besoin c'est qu'elle me dise ça en face et ça l'aurait fait... mais elle refusait... mais bref, encore une fois, je vais trop vite.
Le lendemain de cette image, elle postait ceci, m'étant également plus que probablement adressé :

Le baiser dans la pierre, là aussi il y'a une charge symbolique ultra forte.
Aujourd'hui je sais que tout ça m'était bel et bien adressé mais à l'époque j'en doutais, je n'en étais pas sûr.
Bien sûr que je me demandais si je me racontais des histoires, si tout ça c'était dans ma tête. Mais j'ai néanmoins tiré beaucoup de force de ces "messages" cryptiques.
L'été a tout de même été émotionnellement compliqué pour moi.
Limite j'ai envie d'en rire aujourd'hui tellement la simple peine de cœur que c'était reste infiniment préférable à ce que je traverse maintenant... m'enfin bref...
Ah, petit détail important aussi avant que j'oublie (même si j'aurais dû caser ça plus haut) : à cette période, j'avais arrêté de fumer et je m’étais remis intensément à la natation. Et je lui avais glissé quelque part dans la tirade "Tu me donnes envie d'être la meilleure version de moi-même, regarde, tu m'as remis au sport, j'ai pris un abonnement à la piscine, et j'ai arrêté de fumer grâce à toi !"
Mais revenons-en à après ce terrible : "Je préfère que l’on prenne nos distances pendant un moment."
Quelques temps plus tard, c'est sur Facebook qu'elle a posté des petites choses qui m'ont fait tiquer.
Pour Reddit : elle a adopté un chien, et a posté une photo de lui, accompagnée de cette légende :
« À tous ceux qui disent que la polygamie c'est contre nature... Et bien je viens de découvrir que je peux tomber amoureuse deux fois. D. est mon premier amour... Et je viens d'avoir un coup de foudre pour ce petit gars-là XD #SPA
NE PAS CRAQUER.... NE PAS CRAQUER... »
Encore une fois, maintenant je sais avec certitude que c'était bel et bien le message qu'elle essayait de me faire passer, mais sur le coup j'ai vrillé en voyant son délire sur la polygamie et tomber amoureuse deux fois... bien sûr que ça m'était adressé, qu'elle me le disait comme elle le pouvait... mais moi j'ai vrillé...
Et donc oui, vers juillet, peu après qu'elle ait mis ces "distances", elle a adopté un petit chien traumatisé et fragile dont elle était apparemment folle d'amour (et avec la longe duquel elle s’est pendue).
Je suis convaincu qu'elle l'a pris pour compenser le manque d'affection que mon "éloignement" (qu'elle s’infligeait elle-même) avec causé dans sa vie...
Enfin bref… il y’a eu ça, cette torpille sur le polyamour, mais ce n'était pas la seule de ses publications sur FB m'ayant fait me poser des questions...
Il y’en a eu deux autres, datant de la même période, m'étaient aussi adressées (mais flemme de vous les link, Reddit, désolé, elles sont plus anecdotiques).
Et puis... et puis il y'a eu l'image qui m'a vraiment fait vriller / ouvrir les yeux et commencer à sérieusement cesser de douter...

Mais celle-là, il va falloir un peu / beaucoup de contexte...
Et je sais que j'ai souvent répété ça, mais là c'est vraiment l'un des moments fondamentaux de ce qu'a été notre relation par la suite.
Alors autant essayer de faire les choses bien et de raconter ça par étape.
Pour commencer, il faut savoir que je traine beaucoup sur Reddit (oui, Reddit, c’est là que tu apparais dans l’histoire). Je suis très actif là-bas. J'ai toujours traité le site comme une sorte de journal intime / jardin secret / défouloir moderne en plus de l’incroyable forum et lieu de conversation avec des inconnus que ça peut-être.
Deuxième élément important : à cette période, j'étais parti passer quelques semaines en famille dans les Pyrénées. Et à cette période se déroulaient également les championnats européens multisports. Des sortes de Jeux Olympiques européens quoi.
Et, dans l'enjaillement familial (et parce que je dois avouer avoir un petit faible pour ce genre d'évents), je suivais ça assidument et j'en discutais pas mal sur Reddit.
Et entre autres, je parlais beaucoup de mon crush sur une belle nageuse blonde de l'est. Oui, j'ai toujours eu un petit faible pour les jolies blondes, et elle le savait très bien... m'enfin, bref, patience...
Même si tout ça dominait mon fil à cette période, je parlais (encore heureux) évidemment d'autres choses...

Et là, vraiment dans la foulée (regarde les dates), elle a partagé l'image dont je te parlais.
Elle ne connaissait pas du tout (je pense) l'existence de Reddit et a été intriguée par mon post, a fouillé un peu, a retrouvé mon profil (c'est pas dur, hein, tu tapes Reddit Triskan sur Google et paf), a vu ce dont je parlais et a vu une mine d’or d’informations sur moi et une occasion rêvée de m'envoyer un "message" qui me ferait poser des questions.
Mais j'ai pas fait le rapprochement tout de suite... comme tu peux le voir, tout ça date du 16 août mais ce n'est que plusieurs jours plus tard, de retour de mon séjour en famille (et alors que j'étais en teuf et perché) que j'ai eu l'illumination et fait le rapprochement.
Alors... même si une partie de moi était convaincu que ce message m'était adressé et faisait écho à ce dont je parlais sur Reddit à cette période, le reste de mon être était rongé par les doutes. "Mais non, ça ne t’est pas adressé, tu te fais tellement des films de malade mec, c'est juste une coïncidence".
Mais quand même... le doute et les questionnements (et la certitude, vraiment) étaient là...
Moi, sur Reddit, j'ai rédigé un bref message du genre "Eeeh, mais c'est privé le compte Reddit, non mais oh, c'est hyper intrusif ce que tu fais ! Nan, je plaisante, t'es la bienvenue ma chérie et tu le seras toujours."
Et à partir de là a commencé une étrange danse pour moi sur Reddit... car j'étais désormais convaincu qu'elle lisait tout ce que j'y écrivais et ça rendait les choses étranges et excitantes à la fois...
Je glissais tellement de petites piques et de flirt plus ou moins dissimulés dans ce que j'y écrivais.
Mais patience, parce que tout ça constituera le cœur du chapitre 6.
Pour l'heure, achevons celui-ci avec la triste fin du mois d'août.

The rumor comes from established Rockstar leaker Tez2, who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently targeting a release in holiday 2024 “which has been pushed back multiple times.” Tez2 adds the game may be pushed back again, into to 2025.
Furthermore, Tez2 claims Rockstar is considering breaking up the game’s content into post-launch DLC, to ensure the game can meet a release date. If GTA 6 launches in 2024, it will be a whopping 11 years since the last release in the franchise.
This wouldn’t be an unprecedented move from Rockstar, considering the approach the studio has taken with GTA Online, incrementally releasing massive updates and new story content. Notably, however, GTA 5 didn’t feature any additional story content, just updates to the Online portion of the game.
GTA Online GTA Online has managed to stay relevant for a decade with consistent updates, and it makes sense Rockstar would pivot to that same approach to single-player content.ROCKSTAR Taking this approach would let Rockstar more easily hit whatever internal timeline is established for GTA 6, and provide a road map of content to make post-launch more appealing to players. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this kind of rumor has been brought up by Tez2, as last August the leaker reported GTA 6 would “expand over time,” adding on new cities after launch.
The easiest approach would be to create content that ties into both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of GTA 6, and creating new cities in-game could do just that. New locations could be fully playable in the online portion, while also adding on hand-crafted stories and missions. This would allow Rockstar to continue the overwhelming success of GTA Online, while story content could help attract new players or those that might not care to engage with multiplayer.
This tactic of splitting up elements of the game as DLC is something Nintendo has been using for years, to great success. Mario Strikers: Battle League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Nintendo Switch Sports, have all seen scheduled add-ons for new content, even years after their initial release. At this point, it’s not clear how much of a live-service element there will be for GTA 6, but this Nintendo-like approach would allow Rockstar to retain players who are primarily interested in single-player experiences.
GTA 5 Although GTA 5 never received single-player DLC, Rockstar’s director of design said in a 2017 interview the studio would “love to do more single-player add-ons for games in the future.”ROCKSTAR Nintendo stands apart from other developers, though, in that typically these updates are free or bundled with a Switch Online subscription. It’s a smart move, as games like Mario Strikers, which would typically have a very short shelf life, suddenly provide players with more of a reason to stick with it for the long haul. It also allows Nintendo to continue to sell its older, first-party titles with minimal discounts.
There’s no video game property in existence bigger than Grand Theft Auto, and a report in 2020 estimated GTA Online made a staggering $600 million in 2019. Even in 2023, it continues to hold an enviable place in the sales charts month after month. The popularity of GTA Online has only continued to increase over the years, and that mainstream success is exactly what’s poised to make GTA 6 such a massive success.
Breaking up content into DLC lets Rockstar bring GTA 6 back into the conversation every six months, year, or whatever release timeline suits the studio and the community best. Seeing a big GTA 6 update in a State of Play or other presentation will likely bring thousands of players flocking back to the game, and considering GTA 5 and GTA Online are still alive and kicking a decade later, it’s easy to say Rockstar is hoping for lightning to strike twice with GTA 6.

guts - when afflicted with a status condition inflicted by a pokemon on the opposing team, remove all status conditions and become immune to hindrances for 1.5s. (40s cd)
shed skin - when afflicted with a status condition inflicted by a pokemon on the opposing team, remove all status conditions and become immune to hindrances for 1.5s and be granted a shield equal to 10% max hp for 5s. (45s cd)
sand stream - whenever this pokemon hits a move or boosted attack, fills the sand stream bar. at three stacks, summons a sandstorm around this pokemon, dealing additional damage to opposing pokemon in its vicinity and increasing defenses by 50%. (stacks last 5s and decay together, but can be refreshed as long as the conditions are met.)
additionally, reduces special attack damage taken from enemy players by 30% for 5s and negate their moves secondary effects once. this part of the ability goes on cooldown when its triggered. (15s cd)
basic attack - becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage by stomping forward and slowing opposing pokemon hit by 45% for 2s. (this boosted auto latches onto enemies in a small aoe like machamps boosted auto)
moves
take down - recklessly charge at the designated direction, dealing damage by pounding the ground and throwing opposing pokemon hit in a small area-of-effect(0.5s). upon successful hit, receive 5% remaining hp as damage but increase movement speed by 10% for 2.5s.
bite - user quickly bites in front of itself, dealing damage in a small area in front of it and briefly leaving opposing pokemon hit unable to act. the users next basic attack becomes boosted. (this was rock throw prior to its leak)
(rock throw - hurls three rocks in the designated direction in a cone shape, damaging and briefly leaving opposing pokemon hit unable to act. the users next basic attack becomes boosted.)
lvl 5 - crunch or stone edge (replaces bite/rock throw)
crunch - has the user quickly dash forward a small distance, dealing damage to opposing pokemon hit by viciously biting them and leaving them unable to act. afterwards, decreases their defense by 25% for 3s. the users next basic attack becomes boosted.
level 11 upgrade - additionally, opposing pokemon hit receive 40% reduced healing for 3s. (i definitely started this during absol/blissey meta last year)
stone edge - has the user stomp the ground, sending out sharp rocks travelling underground. upon travelling the set distance, makes sharp rocks burst out of the ground, damaging and throwing opposing pokemon hit in a small area-of-effect(1s). if no distance has been set, places this move on top of this pokemon, creating the area-of-effect around it instead. if this move travels a certain distance, opposing pokemon hit will be thrown towards this pokemon. the users next basic attack becomes boosted. holds a maximum of 2 charges and has a 2s cd between uses. this move can critically strike and has a 10% innate chance to do so, however, the multiplier is x1.5 instead of x2 if it critically hits. (even i came up with a better idea for stone edge than what we got, huh)
level 11 upgrade - increased area-of-effect.
lvl 8 - pursuit or thrash
pursuit - tyranitar becomes unstoppable and moves with 30% decreased movement speed, channeling energy and targeting one pokemon for a maximum of 2s. this decreases the targets movement speed by 50% for 1s. if tyranitar channels energy for 1.25s, become unstoppable during the second part of this move as well. if this move is cancelled, reduces this moves cd by 80%. upon activation, tyranitar leaps at the selected target, pounding the ground at the point of impact and throwing opposing pokemon hit in an area-of-effect(0.75s). if crunch is used within a certain timeframe before the second part of the move connects with a target, replaces the throw with a lunging bite that stuns opposing pokemon instead. this increases the damage and stun duration of crunch slightly, but decreases the area-of-effect. opposing pokemon hit are marked with an icon for 6s, increasing tyranitars movement speed towards them by 15%. if tyranitar hits a marked opponent, makes the mark disappear but decreases this moves cooldown by 1s.
level 13 upgrade - while channeling energy, grants a shield for 5s equal to 15% max HP.
thrash - tyranitar becomes unstoppable and forcefully stomps forward three times, with each stomp damaging opposing pokemon hit and shattering the ground at the points of impact, leaving behind three area-of-effects for 5s that slows opposing pokemon inside it by 35% for 1s (re-applicable). these stomps send out shockwaves to nearby opposing pokemon, slightly damaging and slowing them by 45% for 2s. each stomp will continiously throw opposing pokemon hit, increasing in throw duration with each stomp (0.25s, 0.3s, 0.65s), but leaving tyranitar unable to act after the third stomp(0.3s). tyranitar receives 30% reduced damage while using this move. (this was stomping tantrum originally, but i just renamed it into thrash and gave it a confusion mechanic because it seemed too strong without it. don't ask me why)
level 13 upgrade - further increases damage reduction effect to 40%.
lvl 9 - unite move
ravaging sandstream - tyranitar becomes unstoppable, letting out a massive roar, creating a sandstorm around it, damaging and briefly stunning opposing pokemon too close to it. afterwards, the sandstorm will travel outwards, damaging and leaving opposing pokemon hit by it unable to act and binding them in place for a short time.
if this unite move is used near a goalzone, covers the goal in sand for 8s. if the sand lands on an ally goalzone, decreases enemy goal scoring speed by 50%. if the sand lands on an enemy goalzone, decreases the effects granted by a goalzone by 50%.(100s cd) (just a neat idea i had so i tossed it in here i think)

Time sure flies, doesn't it? We are about to ring in a brand new year, and as we do so, the release of Grand Theft Auto V is now more than six years old (and is fast approaching five years on PC). Given the time that has elapsed, it is certainly possible (maybe even plausible) that Rockstar Games is deep in development on Grand Theft Auto VI. To that end, a supposed QA tester claims to have the skinny on the next installment.
We should preface this information with a disclaimer. There is no way of knowing if the supposed QA tester is what the person claims to be, or if any of the leaked details are accurate. All we know is that it's been a long time since the last Grand Theft Auto gaming (though Grand Theft Auto Online has been receiving continued updates and support).
What is interesting about the situation, though, is the anonymous source first posted the leak on Reddit, and it was removed by the moderators. It's not clear if perhaps Rockstar Games pressured the mods to take down the content. All that said, let's jump into it.
The folks at Dexerto managed to preserve the post. According to the original poster, the map in GTA VI is "huge" and covers to major cities, those being Carcer City and Vice City. Carcer City is based on Boston, and Vice City is based on Miami.
According to the leaker, GTA V is a "schoolyard playground" compared to the massive map in GTA VI. The leakers says Rockstar Games improved the weather effects and polished things up, borrowing from its experience on Red Dead Redemption 2.
"The map is huge, like stupendously huge, hence the game's emphasis on air travel. It makes GTA 5 look like a schoolyard playground. There is an array of atmospheric effects that bring out the life in everything. Light pollution, hurricane winds, morning fog, etc. I've never seen an open world game this realistic before," the leaker wrote.

Assuming all that is accurate, it would be a good opportunity to inject real-time ray tracing into the mix, though there is no mention of that. Instead, the focus is on the size of the map. The leaker says it's so big that it's "a little awkward traveling from Boston to Miami," in part because there are no other major cities in between them, in the game. Expect a lot of air travel, if that's the case.
The leaker also says GTA VI will again put players in control of multiple characters, just like in GTA V. One of the protagonists is said to be "an undercover cop or something," and other might possibly be a sibling. In addition, the leaker says Rockstar Games "complete revamped" the mission design.
"You can permanently abandon some missions or take different routes that sprout different consequences," the leaker says.

Hi, i've been thinking about getting a menu and I found Stand Regular. It's at the top of what I'm willing to pay but seems worth the money.
But I wanted to ask a few things from people who have some experience modding:
1.Is that a good choice? I don't need some options, mostly just making money(from missions, not by adding artificially) crash protections, teleport and other quality of life changes, i wouldn't be needing any griefing tools or anything that interferes with other players.
2.I understand it's an internal menu, running as part of the game. How can it avoid detection by Rockstar Launcher checking the game files? Won't it get me banned for just being there?
3.Is the site I'm looking at, stand.gg, legit?
4.Is there a way to see when a Rockstar employee is spectating me? As far as I know you can get banned by auto detection of cheated money/cars, by getting reported for cheating in a public session, or by an admin who decides to take a look at what you're doing and witnesses you cheating. Can the menu prevent or warn me about the last one?
5.Are menus like Stand fun to use for someone not amused by griefing and aimbotting? As in, are there some fun things to do not designed to ruin the fun of others?
Sorry if the questions are dumb, but I've only ever used Menyoo for singleplayer and Modest Menu before for a while so I don't know much about mods, and I don't want to waste money by rushing it. Any answers and opinions are appreciated, thanks!

For example, just yesterday we learned that famed rapper 50 Cent might play a role in the next -- as yet unannounced -- installment of the GTA series. However, fans are growing tired of waiting and have begun to come up with thier own GTA 6 content to tide themselves over.
Posted to YouTube earlier this week, creator TeaserPlay envisioned the Grand Theft Auto 6 world in Unreal Engine 5. Based on prior leaks and information about the game, the technical or concept demo shows a part of what could be Vice City, as we follow a female character walking and driving around. You can check out the full demo below. It is pretty slick looking save for a few minor things.

Interestingly, this is not the first time we have seen fan content for GTA 6, but it is one of the more recent and diverse creations. In any event, fans seem to be chomping at the bit for new GTA news, but Rockstar is keeping its cards close to the vest. Sadly, this is likely due in part to the leaks that happened in 2022, whereafter Rockstar seemed to hold onto any information in an effort to control the narrative around the game. Despite this, there still have been numerous leaks showing off new characters, a bit of the game world, and some of the tech for making GTA 6.
At the end of the day, we hope it won’t be too long before we get some official GTA 6 news, as there has been speculation of a 2024 or 2025 launch. Realistically, that is not all that far off anymore, so stay tuned as we keep our eyes peeled for any new GTA 6 announcements or information.

BIG CHANGES/UPDATES

BEAST HANDLER: Whereas we recently released a video and upcoming version preview to the Reddit, we feel it necessary to double back on this due to us feeling that the Beast Handler is still too complicated, so we are reworking it, again, meaning it will be delayed another 2+ updates. Sorry!
However, to ensure this does not happen again, we will be removing tower upgrades entirely from this new tower to ensure the Beast Handler is not too complicated going forwards. We hope to see you play around with this new tower in a few months!!!

FIXES

  • Due to popular demand, we have removed portable lake stacking.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed games to save when pausing and returning to menu
  • Fixed exploit that allowed temporary buffs like heroes and Jungle Drum Villages to not be absorbed by Lych
  • Fixed Buff that allowed Monkey Ace and Navarch Paragons to Buff each other. Paragons will never be buffed, so we hope you enjoyed this exploit while it was in the game!
  • On a similar note, we have removed the natural overclock from the Engineer Paragon. However to keep true to the middle path, we have given it extra range, cleansing foam targeting, and +1 damage to MOAB Class Bloons

HEROES

Pat was always intended to be the chunkiest monkey, and his rallying roar is still a little too strong, even after the previous nerf. So we are doubling down on our previous patch of Pat:
  • Pat Fusty footprint increased 28 -> 54
  • Rallying Roar range decreased 72 -> 58

PARAGONS

We have noticed many complaining that certain paragons are weaker than their counterpart 3 5th tier towers because the paragons cannot be buffed while the towers can. In order to counter this, we are increasing the Paragon Level cap 100 -> 500.
However to keep gameplay balanced, the only way to achieve these 400 bonus levels on each paragon is to use Geraldo's Totems.
-We recognize totem spam will likely be annoying for many players, so we are increasing the total power each paragon totem gives from 300 -> 350.

BLOONS CHANGES

LEAD BLOONS
Bloons was always intended to portray real life physics. Due to this, we are changing lead bloons to only be popped from melting.
  • We also want bloons other than ceramics and fortified to have multiple layers, so lead bloon layers have been increased from 1 -> 4, and fortified leads are increased from 5 -> 15
  • Striker Jones, Bomb, and Mortar are no longer able to damage lead bloons
  • Juggernaut and Crossbow Master no longer Pop leads
  • Of course, x5x Super Maelstrom no longer pops leads
  • Ice towers no longer pop leads at any level
  • Sniper monkeys are no longer able to Pierce lead bloons
  • Hydra Rocket Pods and MAD no longer pop leads
  • Razor Rotors no longer pops leads
  • Explosive pineapples, and the respective x3x and x4x bombs no longer Pop leads
  • Lead to gold converts lead bloons into golden leads instead of popping them, similar to rubber to gold
  • Cleansing foam no longer pops leads, but makes them resistant to explosive damage
PURPLE BLOONS
Whereas purples are an interesting bloon that prevents the abuse of certain gameplay styles, the long gaps in between rounds in addition to purple bloons only capable of being spawned naturally like leads make it too easy to get around the weakness these bloons are supposed to provide.
  • Instead of purple bloons absorbing attacks, they will now Completely Stun All monkeys with plasma projectiles while on screen.
  • 3xx Submarines and 4xx Bloontonium Reactors now automatically submerge when purple bloons are on screen
  • Shimmer and Signal Flare are now incapable of de-camoing Purple Bloons.
  • Purple bloon life Drain increased 12 -> 35
  • All purple bloons will spawn fortified past round 50. Fortified purples HP 1 -> 6
SUPER CERAMICS
Due to the power ceiling being increased over time from constant power buffs, ceramics are no longer a threat late game when compared to MOAB Class bloons. Especially with recent buffs to super mines and bloon solver. This goes against the intended game design, so we are hoping these changes will fix that:
  • Super Ceramic Health 60 -> 200
  • Fortified Ceramic Health 80 -> 1,000
  • MOAB Class bloons ramping reduced 1 -> .5
  • Cerams will now incrementally increase in health every round

EVENTS

  • Due to popular demand, Contested Territory Events have been changed from a weekly event to a daily event. This is to help separate Bloons TD 6 from the monotonous waiting of the standard Facebook game.
  • Bloonarius feels especially underpowered compared to its boss counterparts. It is meant to be the slow tank compared to other bosses. So, Bloonarius HP has been increased at all levels, and all other boss speeds have increased. Hopefully now Bloonarius will feel like a unique counterpart from the rest!
  • Bloonarius HP Tripled
  • Bloonarius remains at its current speed. All other bosses receive a 50% increase in their current speeds Vortex is widely known as the easiest boss. To counter this, we are increasing the Stun duration.
  • Vortex's Stun has been increased from 10s -> 30s
  • Fixed bug that prevented Lych soul from ramping with freeplay rounds

TOWERS

For a long time, we have wanted crit shots to be a bigger part of the game, as you can probably tell by the addition of crit shots on certain towers more recently. We feel ready to make a big jump by giving every tower an 8% chance to crit for 5x damage on the crit attack.
All around, towers have been feeling a bit strong, so to counteract this new CRIT Change, every tower has had its attack speed reduced. We have extensively play-tested this new change and feel confident it will breed new life to the game! In addition, to clear up any confusion, the word CRIT that pops up will now fully spell out "CRITICAL SHOT!"
  • Every tower now shoots 33% slower
  • "CRITICAL SHOT" text on screen increased 0.5s -> 2.8s
  • "CRITICAL SHOT!" Font size increased 8 -> 20
  • A large, thick black border will now be placed on the "CRITICAL SHOT!" Text for easier accessibility

BALANCE CHANGES

DART MONKEY
Dart monkeys have always been a strong addition to the game. In fact, they are 2-3 times stronger than the dart monkeys from btd 1-5. To level out the insane power increase, we are nerfing the base dart monkey.
000 dart monkey price increase 200 -> 450
Whereas we are pleased with the direction paragons are moving in, we feel as if the Dart paragon does not accurately resemble the 3 upgrade paths as well as it should. So we are changing the Ultra Juggernauts damage type so that it may no longer pop purple bloons. We pride ourselves on community feedback, and we have heard how much fun it is to bounce Juggernaut balls off of walls. We are keeping with that influence of game design to make fans happy.
  • Juggernaut & Ultra Jug Lifespan Increased 6s -> 180s
  • Juggernaut Pierce Increase 50 -> 80
  • Ultra Jugg Pierce Increase 80 -> 420
  • Ultra Juggernauts damage type from Normal -> Plasma
The middle path has been neglected for a long time. However before we inevitably buff it, we must first nerf it:
  • Any super monkeys on the field get transformed to 000 dart monkeys when a SMFC ability is activated, including VTSGs.
  • All SMS Powers are reverted to dart monkeys which do 1 damage to bloons upon usage
To add more viability to the bottom path, we are increasing total damage.
  • CRIT shot changed from every 8 shots to every 1 shot.
  • Normal shot damage reduced 30 -> 0
TACK SHOOTER
In an effort to reduce late game lag, we are reducing the amount of total projectiles in-game. However, we do not want to disrupt the balance of towers, so we are evening out the damage.
  • Tack Sprayer 16 tacks -> 8, damage 1 -> 2
  • Overdrive 16 tacks -> 8, Attack speed .28 -> .72, damage 1->4
  • Tack Zone Tacks 32 -> 8, Attack Speed .18 -> .72, damage 2 -> 20
BOOMERANG
The top path has been getting a lot of love, however the bottom path feels more neglected due to the buffs of the now-superior top path. Hopefully this rework can change things up.
  • MOAB Press 204 MOAB Damage 50 -> 100
  • Left Handed Kylie Boomerangs now shoot boomerangs directly behind them instead of in front of them.
BOMB SHOOTER
Due to the imbalanced nature of the bomb at release, we quickly needed to adjust gameplay to suit every tower. Now that the gameplay is stable, we will be reverting many of these changes. While also buffing up the rest of the tower in the process.
  • Frag bombs 002 no longer does black popping power
  • Base bomb shooter attack speed increased .72 -> .48 (All upgrades increased naturally)
  • Base cannon explosion radius increased 56 -> 78 (All upgrades increased naturally)
  • In order to reduce lag when using this tower, the bottom path has been reworked.
  • xx3 xx4 and xx5 cluster bombs, recursive cluster, and bomb Blitz cluster projectiles 8 -> 1. Instead, cluster bombs cause bloons to spread, preventing grouped bloons from overwhelming your defense. Try these against a round 63 cluster!
GLUE GUNNER
We were hoping to keep it a surprise, but we are revealing this early: Special Agents are being brought to the game!
In an effort to make more synergy between towers and special agents, the glue gunner is being renamed to the Honey Gunner to create crossplay between this tower and the Beekeeper.
Despite the past 8 buffs making the bloon solver one of the strongest towers in the game early on, it falls off in late game play. We feel it could be stronger, so we are buffing its viability all round.
  • 5xx bloonsolver damage tick speed increased 12-> 58
  • Bloonsolver damage to BAD bloons increased 1 -> 8
The glue gunner has always been a fun tower, ever since its hayday back during BTD 4. However, it has made the bloons too little of a threat as of recently, especially the middle path.
  • All ceramics are now immune to any yellow glue, up to and including 252 glue gunners
Super glue is fun for what it is. However, we felt it isn't sticky enough. In an effort to increase its uses in more scenarios, we are giving it more variability.
  • xx5 super glue Pierce increased 8 -> 22
  • xx5 super glue attack speed increased 0.36 -> 0.22
  • xx5 super glue slow effect increased 128 -> 256
  • Super Glue damage to BADS 1 -> 950
SNIPER MONKEY
The sniper has always been a good contender for strongest tower in the game, and we have noticed a spike in usage recently. However, it still feels weak compared to the direction we are headed in.
  • All shots now crit
  • Sniper now ignores lines of sight
The top path feels too essential in the current late game meta. So we are changing the effect to something more reasonable.
  • 5xx Cripple MOAB No longer deals 5x more damage to MOAB class bloons. Instead, it has a chance to CRIT for a whopping 120 damage!
The middle path upgrade, bouncy bullets, never made sense from a physics perspective. To counter this, bullets are no longer bouncy, and instead are piercy.
  • Bouncy bullets renamed to Piercy bullets
  • Piercy bullets can pierce through 3 bloons, similar to churchill
  • x4x and x5x can pierce through 5 and 7 bloons respectively
Bottom path has always felt a little strong in addition to always being a strong cross path. We hope this change will make the tower more well rounded.
  • Sniper base attack speed increased .8 -> .56
  • xx1 and xx2 upgrades left unchanged.
MORTAR MONKEY
Similar to other towers, Shell Shock Mortars will now shoot explosive turtle shells instead of Mortar rounds to emphasize the synergy between this tower and the new Special Agent Tribal Turtle.
Due to popular demand, we are adding a pursuit option to the Mortar. However to balance this, we are decreasing its accuracy.
  • 000 Mortar Pursuit Target Priority
  • 000 Mortar shot spread reduced .72 -> .12
  • 1xx Mortar shot spread returned to normal
  • We want the Biggest One to FEEL like an upgrade from its inferior stepping stone, the big one. So, it's now a global range tower.
  • Biggest One Attack Radius Increased 50 -> 400
MONKEY SUB
To switch up gameplay, we are changing around top path upgrades.
  • 2xx Advanced Intel now has automatic global range. But it can no longer shoot bloons that are in range of other towers.
  • 3xx submarine now decamos bloons globally, however all bloons within its radius are automatically camoed.
  • Bloontonium reactor can no longer Pop regrow bloons
The middle path ability felt too good at cleaning up the insides, especially of BAD Bloons.
  • x4x ability damage decreased 8,000 -> 3,000
DARTLING GUNNER
The middle crosspath is the obvious choice over the bottom crosspath in almost all scenarios. In an effort to make each crosspath unique and significant, we are changing things up!
  • Base dartling swivel speed reduced 30 -> 6
  • xx1 Faster Swivel Speed now grants lock in place targeting priority
MONKEY ACE
In order to reduce projectiles late game, we are reworking the Monkey Ace to properly represent how we believe this tower should function in order to minimize lag and maximize fun. The Monkey Ace will now shoot darts out of the front of the Ace, similar to the BTD 5 Specialty Building Bonus:
  • Monkey Ace Darts reduced 8 -> 1
  • Monkey Ace Attack Speed .7 -> 3
  • Monkey Ace Damage Increased 1 -> 2
  • 2xx, 4xx, and 5xx have received similar changes by reducing darts to 1 and increasing DMG and SPA.
HELI PILOT
The Comanche Commander was beloved at the start of the game, however has long since fallen off. So, we are reverting the nerf allowing it to easily solo round 98 once again.
  • Comanche Commander damage 2 -> 8
  • Mini Comanche damage 4 -> 24
In order to balance this, we are reducing the speed the heli pilot can move.
  • Base Helipilot Speed reduced 3 -> 0.8
SUPER MONKEY
Like the tack shooter, the Super Monkey is being reworked to reduce projectiles late game for stability reasons:
  • Base Super Monkey Attack Speed .035 -> .35, damage 1 -> 5
  • 1xx Laser Vision now shoots 1 laser instead of 2.
  • 3xx Super Monkey Projectiles Reduced 3 -> 1
  • x3x Robo Monkey: 2 Arms reduced to 1
Due to positive fan reception of the recent Call to Arms global Buff, we felt it reasonable to apply this to temples as well:
  • 4xx and 5xx temples now Sacrifice ALL towers and Heroes on the map
We believe all towers should have their time to shine. No tower should be able to solo the game without much thought and effort.
Additionally, in an effort to reduce the over powered nature of Super monkeys, we are reducing their overall damage to encourage a more well rounded gameplay style which favors a variety of towers:
  • 4xx and 5xx Sun Temple base damage reduced 50 -> 5
  • 4xx and 5xx Sun Temple sacrifices have received a similar 10x downscale.
  • x5x Super Monkey Price Increased 90,000$ -> 300,000$
  • xx5 Super Monkey Price Increased 166,000$ -> 635,000$
ALCHEMISTS
We greatly enjoy one of our recent change to alchemists, however we feel like we did not go far enough with it to make it viable. Hopefully now it can be used more effectively:
  • Lead to gold damage to DDTs 8 -> 80
BMA is too strong late game, and too weak early game as it loses players money. So hopefully this will wise players up when considering placing him.
  • If a Bloon Master Alchemist potion hits a red bloon, the potion will transform the red bloon into a BAD.
NINJA MONKEY
Some upgrades feel a little bit too over and under powered for cross paths to be viable. Hopefully these changes will create more balanced play.
  • Caltrops no longer place when the Ninja is attacking bloons
  • Distraction chance increased 35% -> 100%
  • 5xx Grandmaster Ninja shots reduced 8 -> 1
  • 5xx Grandmaster projectile footprint increased 2 -> 38
  • 5xx Grandmaster Ninja Pierce increased 2 -> 40
  • 500 Grandmaster Ninja projectiles now Bounce off walls
WIZARD MONKEYS
Wizards are purely magic based towers. So it didn't make sense to give them upgrades that granted them purple popping power. Fortunately, the wizard has been buffed up enough that this nerf will still keep it playable without being overpowered:
  • xx5 Phoenix ability no longer pops purple bloons.
  • xx4 and xx5 Necromancer bloons no longer pops purple bloons.
MONKEY VILLAGE
Due to primary towers overshining the village in pretty much all aspects, we are reworking the top path:
  • Primary Expertise: Buffs to Primary Towers -> Buffs to other villages in radius:
  • xx4 Call to Arms and xx5 Homeland Defense: In an effort to reduce projectiles for in game performance, this towers ability has shifted its double attack speed into double range for all towers.
ENGINEER MONKEY
In an effort to minimize the effect of *certain youtubers* to make *specific jokes* about cleansing foam, we are changing the color. In addition, we are changing the later upgrades out of spite:
  • x3x cleansing foam color changed from White -> Green
  • x4x and x5x Engineer monkeys are now only able to overclock other overclock engineer monkeys.
Bloontraps have been exploited for too long to absorb 100% of bloons. We are countering this gameplay style with nerfs.
  • Placed Bloontraps will now have a 0.8s tick cool down interval of being able to absorb bloons
  • Bloontrap radius reduced 100% Engineer range -> 30%
BANANA FARMS
To make gameplay more immersive, bananas no longer attract to the cursor, and must be clicked or tapped to pick up.
  • For QoL purposes as well as to give more use to this crosspath, the xx2 upgrade allows you to right click to pick up bananas in addition to the left click.
  • To avoid potential exploits, Monkey Farmer radius has been reduced 300 -> 80.
  • Monkey Farmers Monkey Money Cost 100 -> 500
SPIKE FACTORY
Due to constant misunderstandings, we are switching the tack shooter to support class and spike factory to primary class. And again to limit projectiles, we are fixing this tower as well:
  • Spike Factory Base Pierce 10 -> 1
  • Spike Factory Base Damage 1 -> 10
  • xx2 Smart Spikes no longer shoot more spikes at the beginning of the round

ADDITIONAL CHANGES

  • Due to high demand, all placeable items will lose their clickable placement locations in favor of randomized placement.
  • Friendly Fire is now on by default. Any monkey hit by any projectile will instantly be sold for 0$.
  • Removed hotkeys for accessibility reasons
  • To make speedruns more competitive as well as to make Apopalypse stand out more as a game mode, Auto start next round has been removed.
  • The gameplay cycle of Bloons TD 6 is too short. In an effort to improve this, the fast forward button has been removed. In its place is now a slow-mo button.

Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong nearly eight years after it first debuted on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (remember those?), followed by a slightly newer re-release on Windows PCs and the the PS4 and Xbox One. To date, publisher Take-Two Interactive has sold over 150 million copies of GTA V on various platforms.
The publisher revealed the impressive sales stat as part of its earnings report for its fiscal first quarter of 2022. Looking at the data from the previous quarter, it means T2 sold an additional 5 million copies in the past three months. Not too shabby, given that GTA V is far from a new game at this point. That is not the end of it, either.
T2 plans to launch an "expanded and enhanced version" for the latest generation game consoles, those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on November 11, 2021. Developer Rockstar Games had previously said the updated version will bring "new features and more" to the table, but the details are still largely a mystery.
"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever," Rockstar Games said last year.
We presume the retooled version of GTA V will tap into the fast storage capabilities of modern consoles, to drastically reduce game load times. It will also leverage the newer hardware in the latest gen consoles, namely the custom SoC based on AMD's Zen 2 CPU cores and RDNA 2 graphics.

2023.04.01 05:49 CreeDorofl Logical Increments 'Great'-tier build... some small screwups, but it works.

I used to build PC's regularly, but my last system was meant to be sorta 'future-proof'. The parts were good for the time, and it lasted me 9 years, so I feel like that was a success.
I wanted to build during lockdown but GPU prices sucked. My old GPU was $300, and and when I shopped around, I was shocked to see it was selling for more than I paid for it. Now it can be had used for like $70.
I want this PC to last a while. I gradually turned into one of those guys who mostly replays the same old favorites (FO, skyrim, etc)... but now that I can run good AAA titles, I will try some modern games. Maybe see what emulation is possible.

. . So in terms of purchasing, I dunno if I was optimal. I basically trust Logical Increments to do the homework. Their builds always work, take advantage of specials where possible, and fine tune carefully for each budget. For example, out of the 16 'tiers', this build used an AMD CPU, but most of their builds use 12th/13th gen Intel (including the tier above and below mine). I guess the R5 7600 hits some sweet spot.
It was supposed to cost $1200. But I fucked up and overbought RAM. I thought my apps used mode than they do. I do some video editing, 3D rendering, lots of photo editing, and generally just run a lot of stuff at the same time, with many chrome tabs. But I can't seem to even get to 25% RAM usage. Probably 32 GB woulda been fine (even overkill). The extra $100 should have gone to a nicer GPU.
$1400 is more than I ever spent in the past, but we're in a time of inflation and when you factor that this might last another 7-10 years, it's OK. GPU prices are finally back in line.
Boring build story: I always do a breadboard. Well, it's a bit more than the bare minimum to boot. but I try to get it boot with just CPU, 1 stick of ram, and in this case GPU. The motherboard has integrated graphics but I'm not using them.
When I flipped the switch on my PSU, I got nothing, no post, and wondered if I missed a step.
Didn't panic. Reseated everything. Then I remembered you could run a wire between two pins of the CPU's main power connector, to see if it's functional. I got irritated when I realized I had no paper clips in the entire house, but biting off the ends of a twist tie works. So the PSU was fine. What I finally figured out is... I needed to actually turn on the computer. I know that sounds retardedly obvious, but when I flipped on that PSU, I truly expected to see SOMEthing, a light or a "good morning" fan spin. This rig doesn't do any of that. Maybe I misremember seeing that in the past.
Anyway after using a screwdriver to bridge the motherboard's power pins, it booted right up. Got windows installed. I was a little worried that the PSU didn't include a secondary 6-pin connector for the socket next to the CPU's main 8-pin connector. But I guess that's for a beefier CPU than mine, the 6-pin connector is fine by itself.
Side rant: I hate how power connectors are WAAAAY too snug and the CPU clamp is WAAAAAY too tight. I know the CPU can't move at all or instant BSOD/shutdown/whatever. But it weighs as much as a tennis ball and sits still on a desk. It doesn't need a clamp that can hold a canoe to a roof rack. And reseating the main power connector is a huge pain in the balls. I had to break off the plastic latch/ckip and wedge a knife blade into the seam to gradually work it back out of the socket. Mountain climbers could use it instead of caribiner clips. In fact, from now on I'm breaking off that pointless plastic clip, I've never seen a main connector or molex that wasn't absurdly tight.
I got errors running an old installer for a game (one that worked fine on the old PC), which I found alarming. Googling suggested installer used a ton of ram. One smart poster said it might be sensitive not just to ram amount, but timings. I installed premiere and edited some video... BSOD. A really weird, annoying kind of BSOD: the crash screen and text appeared on top of premiere as semi-transparent, and the text was white sitting on a white background. So I couldn't read it. I got it again but this time could make out the word "memory". I was concerned I had a defective RAM stick.
I remembered a previous build problem where a PC would only boot when paired with older RAM. I theorized that was because when it detected the old ram, both sticks were forced to run at lower speed. So I went into BIOS to see what the RAM clock speed and timings looked like. It was set to "Auto" so I manually set it to the speed it's rated for, 5200, and that surprisingly worked. Every since changing that single setting, the game that failed to install like 5 times, installed fine. Premiere has never crashed since (several weeks now). So I'm pleased to have figured that out and not wasted money buying different RAM when this batch is fine. . . Parts sorta-review: At first I was at first disappointed at how the video card didn't seem to be that great. First I tried one of my simple 3D renders and it was weirdly slow. But then I found out blender not only has the option of using CPU or GPU, it has options for different API's to talk to your video card. I set it to CUDA (which is specific to Nvidia cards) and it was over 10x faster. Fallout 4 load screens sucked, but that's because load screens are tied to frame rate, which is locked at 60 fps. This mod unlocks framerates during any load screen and now it's done in seconds.
The only part I don't 100% love is the case. It's made to look as simple and minimal as possible. So they hide the power and USB connector on top instead of in front. And they only put 2 USB in front. So it's less convenient to reach and a couple of items I usually plug into the front, now go in back. It also weighs a ton, and has rubber feet, so it won't move easily when you're trying to scoot it around on the desk during the building process. There's a big flat metal strip for hiding/organizing cables but it's just in the way. Also the hard drive cage can be removed, but you gotta get underneath the case and undo two screws. My old build, simple plastic clips held the HDD's and you can just slide them into place and they'd lock. I had to remove the cage to screw them in place.
Other than that, no complaints, running smoothly, only slight concern is GPU idles at 47°C doing nothing but browsing. That seems to be a hair above the high end of normal. I never messed with fan curves or overclocking it, so I'm gonna run DDU and update to the newest driver, see if it helps. The fans apparently don't kick on until 50° but it still seems like something isn't optimal. Maybe bad case airflow.
