Never had any interest in getting a credit card before, I've always just paid for everything using debit card or cash.
We've recently booked our honeymoon with a travel agent which is due to be paid by the end of May. I had previously worked out that we need to be saving £270/week up until then to pay the holiday off. Then once that is paid off we need to put away £200/week for spending money.
So right now I'm saving the funds in my Revolut vault (heard some bad stories about money going missing in there, so once I reach £1000 I transfer it to my bank account).
I'm aware that one of, if not the biggest benefit of credit cards is the Section 75 Protection. I've never booked a holiday with a travel agent before, we normally just book our flights and accommodation ourselves but the travel agent was able to get a much better deal than we could, + I had some vouchers I could use there.
So should I be considering getting a credit card to pay the full balance with the travel agent then just use the money I've saved and clear that balance off just for the protection?
Should I also start making a habit of using the credit card primarily for rewards and then paying the balance off each month? For example, we do our weekly shopping in Tesco and I see they have credit cards that can reward you with clubcard points so that might be useful to use that credit card for everything and then just clearing the balance off.
Just looking some advice as I've never had a credit card so are there certain things I should be looking out for?

Hey guys, I live in Canada and put in some Honeycrisp from Costco a few years ago. They are incompatible with the climate, never even flower and suffer from dieback. They are on an unknown, non-suckering dwarfing rootstock. Maybe 8-10' tall tree. Plenty of side branches and no need for staking, unlike my Prairie Magic which is probably on B9 (would love to propagate the B9 but don't want to hurt a good tree).
I'm considering chopping them off at ground level and stooling them to propagate the rootstock. Is this a decent idea? And does anyone have an idea what they might have put the Honeycrisp on in Canada?
I have some apples that actually bear well (Kerr, Hazen, Harcourt, Prairie Magic) and have taken cuttings this winter that are stored in the shop fridge.
I'm having issues finding rootstock here in Saskatchewan, especially since it's -20C out today and nothing can be shipped. I've tried layering some suckers from the unknown rootstock under my Kerr and Hazen (Hazen is sick and the rootstock is suckering hard) and will see if they can be dug up this spring and if these cuttings can be grafted onto them. Kerr is about 12' tall and Hazen is about 8-10' tall, full growth. Both sucker but fairly minimally. Hazen did not sucker until the top growth began to sicken.

I am F30's. I have no familial support net and been on my own since 16. I made a few stupid decisions over the years like buying a new car, refinancing my debt/castudent loans into a personal loan thus prolonging my debts, took a few vacations on credit cards, etc. I had everything paid down to $10k before Covid began but during hardships over the pandemic racked back up to $34k. I recently got a debt consolidation loan for $32k: $706/month for 60 months - 58 months remaining.
The facts:
I have rented the same house with my now fiance for 13 years and do not anticipate moving anytime soon.
Fiance is not anticipated to assist with my debt repayment because we want to keep our finances separate.
I have a nice comfortable job with a small growing company that I plan to be with for quite some time.
I have no children.
My car is a now paid off 13 year old Hyundai
My brother pays my $40 cellphone bill on his family plan every month because he's nice like that.
I have NEVER had a late payment, not once.
My credit score is 775.
My grandparents signed over a piece of property to me when I was 20, its worth anywhere between 10k-40k according to offer letters I get in the mail. I do not want to lose this property because its been in the family. Its undeveloped, great for camping, and I only pay $200 in taxes on it a year. I would likely sign it over to my brother if I decide to proceed with this bankruptcy idea and if he is up for it.
All of my furniture is used. What I would consider my assets are my car, our bed, my computer, tv and my 2 basic used kayaks I bought a year ago with my tax return. Could any of these things be required to be sold in the bankruptcy agreement?

Cellphone: Family plan that my brother kindly pays for me.
You can do the math, I am left with about $300 a month for gas, groceries and "savings." My fiance helps with all these things if I need it. I was discussing with a friend who bankrupted ten years ago and they were telling me how it drastically improved their life. Becoming my own support net with cash dependence each month instead of credit cards really sounds like it could be my stress-reducing ticket as I am barely keeping my head above here. I cant accumulate savings like this.

A couple weeks ago I put a gift card on marketplace ($25 offered for $20) and showed that it was still full by doing the gift card balance check on the store website and showing the last 4 digits matched what I checked. Said I wouldn't take payment until buyer and I met in person and they were able to authenticate.

This update legitimately makes me want to leave the game. I generally play the game casually while participating in war, events, and challenges. I’ve always decided whether or not to get the pass based on the cosmetics and gold. So seeing progression get absolutely gutted for the sake of a quick buck turns me off completely. If you take away the progression from a game that is dwindling in the fun department, what else do I have to play for?
Combine this with an unwillingness to effectively balance, rework, or add new cards and this effectively kills the game. And I’m sorry, but the rate and scale of buffs and nerfs right now isn’t enough. Seriously, so many cards are in a bad place right now, but instead of helping those and other cards, we’re getting the usual post-release nerf for new cards.
