The new decade has everyone feeling a little bit reflective, including fans of video games. The NPD Group, Inc. recently released a ton of information about the gaming market over the last ten years. This information included the best selling games of 2019 and the best selling games between 2010 and 2019. Grand Theft Auto V was the best selling game of the decade across all platforms, but the Call of Duty franchise truly won the 2010s.
The NPD Group, Inc. is a New York-based market research company that tracks twenty different industries. Mat Piscatella, a video games market research analyst, recently posted on Twitter the information that the company has gathered both over the last year and over the last decade. Grand Theft Auto V, with an estimated 110 million copies sold. However, the Call of Duty franchise may be the true MVP of the decade. Ten out of the fifteen most popular games in the 2010s were Call of Duty games. This includes the most recent addition to the franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The best selling Call of Duty game was Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game was originally released in November 2010 for Microsoft Windows, the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and OS X and was later released on mobile. There may even be a reboot in 2020.

Several of the other best selling games of the decade are not a surprise. These games include Red Dead Redemption II, Minecraft, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Mario Kart 8, Battlefield 1, Battlefield 4, Destiny, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Star Wars Battlefront 2015. All of these games made a splash in the 2010s and some even inspired memes and their own cult followings.
The NPD Group, Inc. also released information about consoles. The Playstation 4 was the best selling console of the 2010s, while PS4 Dualshock 4 wireless controller in black was the best selling accessory. However, the Nintendo Switch dominated 2019. It was the best selling console of the year and Switch Pro controller was the best selling accessory.

The best-selling games of 2019 were a little more shocking. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was unsurprisingly the best selling game of 2019, but it was followed by NBA 2K20 and Madden NFL 20. They beat out games such as Borderlands 3, Kingdom Hearts III, and the Outer Worlds which were games that were generally better reviewed and received more hype.Games from series like NBA 2K and Madden NFL appear to have a strong, consistent fan base.
What can the numbers from the 2010s tell us about the video game industry? There have been a variety of interesting games that have come out in the last decade, but the most popular genres appear to be first person shooters and action adventure games. It also seems that many video game fans were drawn to the “open world” concept. Will these preferences continue to reign throughout the 2020s? NPD Group, Inc. reported that that video game spending in general declined in 2019, but it is still a major industry. What do you think HotHardware readers? So far, Rockstar Games has been rather tight-lipped about its upcoming addition to the Grand Theft Auto series with GTA 6. However, that could be changing soon, based on recent speculation and potential leaks from YouTuber SanInPlay, who previously correctly predicted information about GTA 6’s female protagonist.
In September, GTA 6 gameplay footage leaked online, sending the internet into a frenzy over what was not previously known. That footage quickly spread, being torn down by Rockstar and then popping back up on another site just as quickly. At that time, we expected that Rockstar might leverage the new found excitement about GTA 6, and announce the game properly or even drop a trailer. However, this was not to be, as Rockstar remained silently plugging away.

As we go into 2023, we expect some GTA 6 news to come out, and we might get it sooner rather than later. YouTuber SanInPlay originally reported that one of the playable protagonists of GTA 6 would be a Latina named Lucia, over a month before we had any information from the leaks. More recently, SanInPlay has claimed that there might be a trailer with a few specific beats, including planes passing overhead, dogs playing, and Lucia in prison exercising, among other details.

Of course, this could all be proven wrong by Rockstar in the coming weeks, though prior leaks would suggest otherwise. However, Rockstar could also recut and tweak their trailer if they have one waiting in the wings, should they want to discredit SanInPlay, so future leaks get less coverage. Either way, we will have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks, because if there is speculation such as this, something of real substance might be coming soon. Where there's smoke there's fire most times, as they say.

In honor of the release date for the series finally becoming official, I wanted to make this post to saturate my need for more Secret Invasion content and compile everything we know about the series for others who are just craving any breadcrumb of information about the series.

Other Information

• While the series was mostly filmed in London and other places around the UK, a large chunk of it will take place in Russia around the time of Russia's Unity Day (which is on November 4th if we assume it takes place in MCU Present Day, 2025). That makes it one of the latest additions to the MCU timeline with the only projects taking place after it are the GotG Holiday Special and Werewolf By Night taking place in December and GotG 3 sometime in early 2026, shortly after the events of the special.
• According to Kevin Feige, the show will explore the period of the blip (but won't be set excluively during that period). Samuel L. Jackson praised this part of the show's direction. As he said, "The minds [that are putting together] what happened during the blip are fantastic. That's part of what we're uncovering during this series."
• Martin Freeman called the series "Quite labyrinthine in terms of storytelling, and the amount of people crossing over with each other." He also added: "The bits I’ve read do feel different, I guess: That storytelling process is just elongated.”
• The show will follow the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, in which Everett Ross was arrested for sharing confidential information with Wakanda before escaping, and being branded a fugutive. It will also lead directly into Armor Wars, the upcoming movie starring Don Cheadle as Rhodey.
• While the US President in this series is Ritson played by Dermot Mulroney (who was referenced in a news ticker in Wakanda Forever), Kevin Feige has confirmed Thunderbolt Ross will be US President by the time Captain America: New World Order comes around. This puts Ritson's fate at risk, especially considering it seems like his car is being hit by a missile in the trailer.
• According to cast member Christopher McDonald, Marvel Studios brought in a new writer to rewrite parts of the series before the reshoots that took place during August 2022. As McDonald put it, the new writer "has amped it up, and the series is going so much deeper than before."
• The Department of Damage Control and SWORD will play a role in the series.
• The series will be much smaller in scale than the comic book event it's adapting. As put by Executive Producer Jonathan Schwartz, "Well, there were more characters in the Secret Invasion comic series than there were in Endgame so, no, it's not that but it very much is a showcase for Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelson and tapping into the paranoia elements of the Secret Invasion comic series that was great with the twists and turns that that took. So, that's certainly our focus more than, 'Can we cram in more characters than Endgame? like publishing?"
• A set pic showed an underwater stage, indicating underwater scenes were filmed for the show.

Rumoured Information [Potential SPOILERS]

With MarvelStudiosSpoilers and its comprehensive leak database down, it's hard to look for the original sources of all these claims, but as one of the main curators of said database and avid user of the Spoilers sub, I can tell you this all comes from very reliable sources (MTTSH, Charles Murphy, CWGST, DanielRPK etc).

• Emilia Clarke plays the Skrull G'iah, Talos' daughter (she last showed up in Captain Marvel as a young kid) who goes by the name "Nell" in her human form. She is a well-trained and intelligent spy with powers and an attitude.
• Olivia Colman's Sonya Falseworth is the British/European equivalent of Nick Fury. She mostly works behind the scenes, pulling the strings and organizing operations.
• Unlike the comic book version, in the series, the Skrulls will mostly be impersonating government and law enforcement officials.
• The Skrulls' main base is in Chernobyl, Russia where they are building a device in the underground levels of the nuclear power plant, because the device requires a decent amount of energy.
• Some of the reshoots happened due to the Russia/Ukraine war, since a scene in the original version featured an explosion at Red Square which killed several Ukrainian citizens, as revealed from set video captured by onlookers.
• The show brings back the incredible spy-thriller vibes reminiscent of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Each episode leaves more twists and turns than ever, leaving fans with more questions than answers.
• The series will feature a "Tucker Carlson-like" news anchor. As stated in the casting call, "Lead white actor in his 50s, needs to feel American in his personality, will appear in four out of the six total episodes"
• Chloe Benett's Quake will return in the series, but possibly for a very small role

I've got multiple Washlet SW2024s, and love them dearly. It's time to kit out the new bathroom, though, and since it's the primary (and personal) bathroom, my budget is substantially expanded. Warm-air drying is absolutely required, but beyond that, I'm not sure what else I want.
My current plan is to put a topper onto a Niagara Phantom, because the integrated models (Toto's Neorest line and Kohler's various advanced lines, like Innate, Numi, and Veil) just don't seem to deliver any real value for money from what I can see. So that means I'm looking for replacement-seat-style bidets, but if you're a Neorest or Numi owner and can convince me otherwise, I'm all ears (or all... you know what, let's stick with "ears").
I don't want to waste money, of course, but avoiding cost is not my primary motivator. I understand that the marginal benefit of a $1000 bidet over a $200 one isn't going to be strictly worth the $800 difference. That's okay. A $200 bottle of wine isn't twice as tasty as a $100 bottle. There are times when it's right to buy the $200 bottle nonetheless.
If it matters, I have [email protected] installed, and can easily pull a fresh circuit with higher voltage/amperage from nearby if needed. The toilet is on the top floor of the house, atop ceramic tile, in a WC separated from the main bathroom by a door, and the WC already has a dedicated exhaust fan that's on a timer. The toilet is plumbed with unheated water (i.e., normally) on a 1/2" supply line fed by city water at standard pressure. I'm also an electronics expert and am capable of at least an amateur level of plumbing (more importantly, I know when to, and I'm not afraid to, call in the pros!).

I like this series. Its nothing special, nothing bad. One time must watch that i will never watch again, only the new seasons. Am i only the one who is getting sick of this stereotype plot for kids which means: Everybody who seems evil and sussy from the start is innocent and everybody who is good and try to help is always evil? I was in 3th part when i tell myself who i think is the monstrum and evil one and ofc i was right. Things have certainly been different since all of Gotham had been restored after being transformed into walking plant zombies. For starters, Harley has now found herself working alongside some of the Batfamily to watch over Gotham while Bruce is locked away in Blackgate. To make matters more complicated, Poison Ivy is now leading the Legion of Doom. The two were walking seemingly very different paths and more often than not didn’t have all too much time for one another, setting off the events for the remainder of the roleplay. Would Harley find herself cheating on her new lover with a member of the Batfamily or worse? Is Ivy really going to turn to Mayor Joker for relationship advice?
Meanwhile, a seemingly reformed Doctor Psycho asks to get back in with the crew, only to find that they’re all seemingly on their own paths, all but ignoring him completely every time he’d ask. Of course, reformed doesn’t exactly fit Psycho’s M.O as he concocts a revenge scheme on the couple for locking him back up…
Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is still locked up in Blackgate for embezzling. Seeking to do the time, he often finds himself shutting down any attempts at breaking him out by his once lover Selina Kyle & the Batfamily. That is, until Harley refuses to take no for an answer and — with the help of the Batfamily — will break out Bruce for help in stopping Psycho once more. All that plus: Kite-man and Golden Glider going through a bit of a rough patch, Bane testing venom in places he should not & more in this XXX-rated, satirical romp through Gotham… or that’s at least how Frank likes to put things.
Knowing the Harley Quinn animated series on HBO Max and its take on these characters is somewhat important for this roleplay, but it isn’t completely necessary! So long as you can run with playing against very satirical, borderline parody versions of these characters as I try to emulate that show’s writing style. Any plot points or important threads that one needs to know, I can easily run by with you also! I’m a detailed writer, about a paragraph in response (sometimes more) and I’d appreciate the same level of detail. I write in third person, though I don’t mind if you prefer to write in first. If you prefer I write in first, I can do that as well but I may screw up sometimes so bear with me. Lastly, I prefer to roleplay on Discord. Easier to keep track of OOC conversations and such! Did you imagine when Grand Theft Auto V came out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013, that we'd be seeing a fresh retail re-release of it nine years later? Much like The Elder Scrolls Part V: Skyrim—which hails from the same era—GTA V has been an enduring success and is about to get its third re-release.
There's no fancy subtitle or name change; Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series XS consoles on March 15th. That's not to say it's exactly the same experience, though. The versions for the current-gen consoles support 60 FPS, HDR output, ray-tracing, "improved texture quality," faster loading times, "immersive 3D audio," and support for platform-specific features, like the PS5's DualSense haptics.
gtaonline carwash Specifically, there will be a fidelity mode that targets native 3840×2160 resolution with ray tracing and a 30 FPS cap. (Xbox Series S will use upscaling to hit 4K.) Before you sneer at that, note that console versions of GTA V have always had a 30 FPS cap—until now: the new release's "performance mode" will target 60 FPS with dynamic resolution scaling up to 4K, but without ray tracing.
Most interesting to the majority of gamers will probably be the "Performance RT" mode. This mode, available only on the PS5 and Series X, is basically just performance mode with ray tracing enabled. Most likely, it will simply use a lower dynamic resolution to achieve higher-than-30 FPS while keeping ray tracing features. Depending on the upscaling method Rockstar uses, this mode could still look quite good.
Of course, the whole reason that Grand Theft Auto V is still the sensation that it is lies in its online mode. Rockstar has always talked about Grand Theft Auto Online as if it were an entirely separate game, and that's understandable given the differences in their content. But after the re-release launches, it will in fact be available as an entirely separate game—and it'll be free for the first three months after launch on PS5.
gtaonline fukaru The technical changes to Grand Theft Auto V largely apply here, although there's probably still not going to be any animals in Online. Instead, Rockstar is implementing several content updates for the re-launch. The Los Santos Car Meet expansion is getting an expansion of its own called Hao's Special Works, and a "Career Builder" feature will be available for fresh characters to help them get a foothold in Los Santos' seedy underbelly.
If you're already an accomplished crime boss in GTA V or GTA Online using an older console version, you can transfer your progress to the new systems. For story mode, open the game and go to "Game" in the pause menu, then select "Upload Save Game" to send it to the Rockstar Social Club cloud servers. GTA Online progress will transfer automatically, although Rockstar cautions players that purchased GTA$ won't transfer across platforms (i.e. PlayStation to Xbox, or vice versa.)
You'll be able to start playing the remastered version of GTA V on March 15, with physical copies coming available In April. We asked Rockstar when these changes would be coming to the PC version, but haven't heard back yet. We'll update this story when we do.

Things have certainly been different since all of Gotham had been restored after being transformed into walking plant zombies. For starters, Harley has now found herself working alongside some of the Batfamily to watch over Gotham while Bruce is locked away in Blackgate. To make matters more complicated, Poison Ivy is now leading the Legion of Doom. The two were walking seemingly very different paths and more often than not didn’t have all too much time for one another, setting off the events for the remainder of the roleplay. Would Harley find herself cheating on her new lover with a member of the Batfamily or worse? Is Ivy really going to turn to Mayor Joker for relationship advice?
Meanwhile, a seemingly reformed Doctor Psycho asks to get back in with the crew, only to find that they’re all seemingly on their own paths, all but ignoring him completely every time he’d ask. Of course, reformed doesn’t exactly fit Psycho’s M.O as he concocts a revenge scheme on the couple for locking him back up…
Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne is still locked up in Blackgate for embezzling. Seeking to do the time, he often finds himself shutting down any attempts at breaking him out by his once lover Selina Kyle & the Batfamily. That is, until Harley refuses to take no for an answer and — with the help of the Batfamily — will break out Bruce for help in stopping Psycho once more. All that plus: Kite-man and Golden Glider going through a bit of a rough patch, Bane testing venom in places he should not & more in this XXX-rated, satirical romp through Gotham… or that’s at least how Frank likes to put things.
Knowing the Harley Quinn animated series on HBO Max and its take on these characters is somewhat important for this roleplay, but it isn’t completely necessary! So long as you can run with playing against very satirical, borderline parody versions of these characters as I try to emulate that show’s writing style. Any plot points or important threads that one needs to know, I can easily run by with you also! I’m a detailed writer, about a paragraph in response (sometimes more) and I’d appreciate the same level of detail. I write in third person, though I don’t mind if you prefer to write in first. If you prefer I write in first, I can do that as well but I may screw up sometimes so bear with me. Lastly, I prefer to roleplay on Discord. Easier to keep track of OOC conversations and such! Would you choose to keep Samus in 1st-person, like in Prime, or keep the games as side-scrollers, like in the original games and Dread?
Personally, I’m all for 2D. The way Samus controls feels unique to the series and the labyrinthine level design is always great fun to explore.
Not to mention, with the new slide and parry mechanics established I feel like there’s amazing potential for future games.
