Anyone know why not a single part time store will hire me? I’m currently 20 almost 21 and broke AF cuz no store will hire me. I applied to every store you can think off off the top of your minds Target, Walmart, Meijer, Menards, GameStop, Starbucks at 6 different locations, Smoothie King, Olive Garden, Portillos, Dog Walker, WashU car wash place, Apple, Best Buy, Microcenter Costco, Amazon, warehouse place, and still currently applying to more places as I write this. Only a few of these places brought me in for an interview and the places that did never send me a email or text message back saying I was hired or not for the job and that was months ago so I definitely didn’t get the job. The places that didn’t bring me to the interview stage told me I was deferred and didn’t get the job and they didn’t need me all those excuses bull shit!!! Like WTAF am I doing wrong here??? Every job I applied to I send in a resume to go along with my application and applied on the application perfectly and I even applied through indeed and linked in and still didn’t get a single job. The only place to ever hire me was Raging Waves when I was 16 for a seasonal summer job and I was in the food services cooking burgers, pop corn chicken, fries, etc… and that was it. I have a shit ton of food experience so all the food places I applied to I should have gotten doesn’t make any sense at all. After Raging Waves job was over I then worked at a hair Solon place as a salon assistant and both these places pay Jack shit $8.50 an hour and I need more money or I won’t be able to pay rent and gonna end up homeless and currently I’m negative in my bank account. I’m trying to make $18 an hour and I see all these young ass kids who are 16 making way more than me doesn’t make any sense at all when I’m perfectly qualified and much older a legit adult who can’t seem to get a single ass job. Ima bout to go to court cuz all these places I keep applying to keep discriminating against me like WTAF I just need money to live and survive to afford food and water GOD DAMIT FOR FUCK SAKES HIRE ME FOR GOD SAKES I’LL LITERALLY DO ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

910 hours as a summer camp counselor

I don’t know what has happened to my FL studio but I’ve been experiencing underruns randomly since the other day. I’ve never faced this issue before, and I’ve been trying literally everything to get it resolved (increasing buffer length, and offset, closing all other applications which I never needed to do before). It is not a CPU issue, as I have a beastly PC, and the plug-in performance monitor shows a measly 10 percent being used among all of my plug-ins. Not sure what to do here but my FL seems to be broken :( pls help!

Intro

Despite the incredible variety of wearable devices today, most of the AI features come down to merely defining very simple actions. They determine whether one is running or sleeping, they count the steps, and they determine if one falls.
It seems to me that we are ready for much more complex analytics from our devices. What if they could recognize more specific, similar, and complex activities? It would open up the never-before-seen possibility of creating a great many new interesting applications and devices.
However, recognition of more complex activities requires large and complex neural networks which require a great amount of computation. This would obviously quickly drain the battery of the IoT device where this neural network would be embedded. The majority of wearable devices should operate in the always-on mode, which places serious demands on the energy efficiency of such solutions.
How can we solve this challenge? In my project, I want to show an example of how you can significantly increase the complexity of intelligence functionality, and determine what a wearable device can recognize with a very small and accurate neural network.

Our test results show that the model perfectly recognizes the movements of 30 participants whose data was not used for training the model.
Following this tutorial, you also can easily make your own experiment and train your neural network on your data to recognize the same or different movements.
We believe that the ability to recognize an extremely complex and similar action using small neural networks opens up a new era for always-on devices.
Below, you will find a full tutorial on how to reproduce this experiment, including data collection, model training, model embedding and inference. In addition, we have created a public repository with a pre-trained model that has demonstrated good generalization on new users. It is a precompiled Arduino sketch that you may just download and embed into your Nicla Sense ME with a few clicks of a mouse and start testing.

Data Collection with Nicla Sense ME

For this case, I’ve selected 5 types of activities (for your experiment, you may choose other activities):

Washing hands
Brushing teeth
Clapping
Brushing hair
Random activity (negative class)

For each activity type, I collected sensor data with Nicla Sense ME for 10 minutes non-stop. Data was collected from 7 different people from 7 different locations. It was quite a challenging, yet fun process because, for proper data collection, it was undesirable to interrupt. Here’s some advice for those who plan to re-conduct my experiment: before collecting data for another activity, get some rest! However, if 10 minutes of constant hair brushing is too much, you can do two 5-minute data collection streams and then concatenate the two files.
For the negative class, we collected 60 minutes of data. There’s no need to do anything special this time; just get on with your everyday activities. Type on the keyboard, operate a mouse, answer calls, drink tea, or do whatever you want. Just be sure you don’t sit completely idle with your hands still during negative class data collection. The negative class is a subset of everything else excluding the 4 classes outlined above.

Steps:

Now let me provide you with detailed guidelines on how to tune Arduino’s board, Nicla Sense ME to collect data.
1. Visit https://www.arduino.cc/en/software, download Arduino IDE 2.x.x for your OS, and install a package.
2. Open Arduino IDE, click on the Boards Manager icon, type “nicla sense me” and install the Arduino Mbed OS Nicla Boards package.
Click on the Library Manager icon, type “nicla sense me” in the search box and install two libraries: Arduino_BHY2 and ArduinoBLE.
Type “printf” in the search box and install LibPrintf.
3. In the main menu, select File->Examples->Arduino_BHY2>BHYFirmwareUpdate.
4. Connect your Nicla Sense ME board to the USB and select the port in the dropdown menu.

5. Click on the Upload button and wait until the uploading process is finished.
6. Click on the Serial Monitor icon and select 115200 baud, then click the RESET button on your Nicla board.
7. After 5-10 seconds you’ll see that the BHY firmware is uploaded.
8. Open collect_data.ino sketch and upload it (repeat step 5 and step 6). You’ll see measurements in the Serial Monitor pane.
Now you can unplug the board from the USB port.
9. Attach the board firmly to the watch or bracelet. The Micro-USB port should be in the bottom-right corner.

10. Put a watch or a bracelet with a circuit board on your right hand, and connect the cable to it. Make sure that the cable near the connector is not taut so as not to damage the board.

11. Depending on your OS, open the serial port and try to log data. A serial port can be seen in the hint.

Use this command in the terminal if you’re on macOS:

This will set the port speed to 115200 baud. Print out data from the serial port as text and save it to a CSV file.

12. Start recording the movement. Press the Reset button on the Nicla board and restart logging to the file.
For example, clap for 10 minutes (use the stopwatch application in your smartphone). During this process, change the position of your hands to make the data more diverse. Do not stop moving while the recording is in progress.
The recording will start in ~7 seconds after pushing the Reset button.
Once 10 minutes are finished, continue the movement for 10-20 seconds and stop recording.
13. Repeat step 12 for each activity type (use different file names):

I have 7 credit cards atm -- those I use on rotation: Discover, Chase, AMEX, Walmart Cap One, Amazon Synchrony, and 2 I virtually don't use: United Explorer (Chase), ULTA.
My credit utilization is currently 8% -- after I made a big purchase. It's usually way lower. I've heard 30% is the sweet spot -- should I close one of my accounts (e.g. ULTA) to get a better ratio?
Context: I'm an international student, and would be closing all my accounts in the next 18 months anyway. Will closing accounts now hurt my credit score?
I'd also like to be approved for the Wells Fargo Autograph Card if possible for travel, but I guess it doesn't really matter if I get rejected (again, attempted a week ago).
Context 2: Credit score dipped to 700 (Chase Experian) / 720 (Cap One Vantage) / 735 (FICO) after 2 rejected applications for travel-saavy credit cards in the past 2 weeks

I just moved out and all of a sudden my landlord is hitting me with multiple fees.
1) cleaning appliances $200
The oven, kitchen cabinets and refrigerator were all empty. They say the oven was dirty, but after living there for a year and cooking all the time should normal wear and tear warrant a fee? I didn’t think I had to make everything look brand new for them before I move out.
2) application fee
After a year of living in my apartment and moving out after my lease expired. They are now telling me I never paid the $75 application fee. Which I believe I never did pay, but wasn’t ever told to do so when I paid security deposit + first month of rent. Do I have to pay this?
Lastly blinds
There saying I damaged all 3 blinds and owe $200 to replace them. When I moved in a year ago the blinds were new. But they seemed like very cheap blinds like $20 dollar Walmart blinds MAX. Hence why they damaged easily from normal wear and tear use over a year. It feels like there just trying to rip me off for $200. What is your stance on this?
This company has a very shady reputation and is threatening small claims court.

I am 1 week out from my travel, applied in person around 2/04, paid for expedited. My husband applied same place and time and he got his passport over 2 weeks ago. Online system just says my status is "not available."
I've called for the last 2 weeks, only to get a busy signal. I finally got through to wait on hold for hours Monday - told me that she can't see my status and has no info for me, call back Thursday. So I do, again busy signal for most of the day, at 9pm I finally connect and then wait 4 hours on hold.
At last I speak with someone who confirms that my application was received, but cannot tell me the status. Offers to make me an appointment but the office in my state doesnt habe any (Miami, FL). She offered an appointment in Texas, the day before I'm supposed to leave - that is unfortunately not possible for me (distance, cost, time off, etc.). She was very nice and I expressed my gratitude. She claims she put a note in my file to rush the process, but she didn't sound very hopeful.
So questions: If Miami isn't accepting appointments does that mean they aren't open at all? If I show up in person, will I not be allowed in? It is a 5 hrs drive and I would have to take more time off of work, so I'd rather not waste my time if going there in person accomplishes nothing. Anyone have past experience at that location?
Most of the advice I see in previous posts seems to reference calling and going to the office closest - so I'm sort of at a loss.
